- Two classic Sam & Max games coming to PlayStation on September 29! Sam is a six-foot canine detective with a love of justice. Max is a hyperkinetic rabbity-thing with a taste for mayhem. Together, they’re the Freelance Police-an irreverent comedy duo whose esoteric crime-fighting style has been entertaining comic book and video game fans for more than thirty years.
In Sam & Max Save the World (aka Season One), a mind-control scheme involving washed-up child stars spirals to encompass the media, the mafia, the United States government, and the internet, building up to an out-of-this-world finale. In Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space (aka Season Two), Sam & Max are back on the crime beat in a showdown with Santa Claus, a race to subdue a giant volcano, and a face-off with a Eurotrash vampire... and then things get really weird.

With the VR game and all of these remasters, I sure hope the devs are about to do something big with Sam and Max

@@Cyberbrickmaster1986 no, I think those still belong to LucasArts. I'm down for them to make a brand new Sam and Max title. Maybe even a trilogy that holds up just as well as the Telltale Era of games.

I've never played a Sam & Max game so I might give this a try when it comes out
I strongly recommend them, since they're some of the funniest games ever made. The humor isn't for everyone though, it's very dry and quippy.

That's only season 1 that was censored season 2 is uncut still just with the new Bosco voice actor
For the people who've heard about the remaster being "CENSORED", literally only 0.1% of the script was changed, roughly a *SINGLE* line per episode. You can read the full list on the Steam page for the game for yourself. The game still has plenty of it's "blue" jokes, such as Whizzer confirming he was in an erection disfunction commercial, Sam being able to ask everyone the codephase "Does the carpet match the drapes?" and the multitude of masturbation references when it comes to rubbing the heat-sensitive unicorn toy. In exchange, you get a VERY polished-up version of the game with crystal-clear audio, new music and even some extra scenes!
The biggest change is the recasting of Bosco's actor, which they would have been pretty stupid to not do, since white voice actors playing minorities is a bit of a hot-button issue right now. And considering Bosco was entirely absent for season 3, it's pretty obvious they knew this was a bit of a problem, even back in 2010.
I would love if the original point and click game from 1993 get the 3D treatment someday. We need that, a remaster of the Devils Playhouse and a sequel

I wish these had a platinum trophy. It would certainly give me the incentive to go through them again.
I mean, the games don't have a date; and trophies are usually given a few days before release or whatever. It could still have one, unless I am missing something.

Wow, so remastered that they lack international dubs and removed some jokes.
I still have my two french original editions from 2006-2007, I'll stick with them.
Beyond time and space doesn’t remove any jokes whatsoever, but they lack the international dubs still because they don’t have the source files for those

Is this version still Censored for modern audiences?
The only thing that was altered were 10 throwaway lines in season 1(which is about 0.1% of overall dialogue). In season 2 NONE of the dialogue was cut or altered in any form or fashion. If you have the original games, you can still play them too.
