Shure SLX-D Wireless System Final Review and demo with WYO

  • We recently sent the band WYO (@wyotheband) a new wireless rig, courtesy of Shure (@shure) - featuring their killer SLX-D wireless system with a wireless mic and body pack transmitters, and the accompanying receivers.
    In their final video, the band unboxes, sets up and conducts an extreme range test on cross-country skies, of course, in their idyllic snowy mountain studio setting.

    When you went outside there were two racks on the table - and one had significantly larger antennas than the other. Did you do this test with the standard ones that come with the system, or was it augmented with higher gain hardware?

      The audio tests we conducted on-site during the video shoot were conducted solely using the stock equipment from Shure. The other rack in the shot was likely part of the band's own rack from their cinema rig, which if I recall correctly (it's been a few years since we filmed this) was solely used to prop up a laptop for video monitoring, lol.
