I love this era of Underoath, both AoD and CoTP are damn near perfect albums. And TCoT was also really good! I would like to see current Underoath try to make another extreme metal album, EP, or even just another extreme metal song!

Unfortunately once Spencer joined (I saw their first show with him in NY!!!) it just wasn’t the same to me. Hopefully more footage will turn up, I’d like to see even earlier stuff when they were just straight metal.

Probably an unpopular opinion but i never got into their stuff before Spencer got involved i actually pretend that era didnt even exist. It just sounded like watered down black metal to me.
I feel like their early albums might not have aged well but at the time it was pretty insane stuff. I can see where you’re coming from. Really 2 different bands.
This is a pure gold. I love that era of Underoath. I think that show was in November/December 2001.
