I saw the video for this in the middle of the night on Headbangers Ball on MTV2 like in early 2003 or something, and went out and bought the album the next day. Unfortunately, by the time I first got to see Underoath live, it was February 2004 at a tiny venue in Memphis and Dallas had already left the band. It was still epic seeing this performed live all the same. I then saw them again in 2004 in Birmingham at a place called the Zydeco for the They’re Only Chasing Safety tour.. never knew this video was filmed in Birmingham until I came across this.
This is unearthed treasure for the old underoath era. I thought this shit never existed. I would’ve gone bonkers for this shit 13 years ago. Still going bonkers for treasure like this. Miss underoath like this.
Tim McTague as well. Looks like a completely different guy with the emo haircut and clean shave compared to few years later with short hair and a beard
This a gem I thought I would never ever witness seeing. I used to watch that music video over and over and just think how lucky everyone was that got to witness seeing them live back then. I got into Underoath with Dallas late into the game but still felt just as emotionally attached to that version of Underoath as others that actually were around that time. Thank you so much for uploading this.
Funny how Grant is just moshing around and looking like he was the bassist that was on this album but Billy Notke actually played all bass parts. The same as Kelly Scott Nunn in this. He was the guitarist only short time after Octavio left who sadly was not in this video either.
Crazy to think the guy who directed this video and others for Blink-182 ended up starring in and directing one of the worst movies of all time, Saving Christmas. The mighty have fallen.
I wonder how Aaron is playing drums for the video like does he have rubber pads on the actual drums and cymbals? Also the singer is lip syncing and guitars are just pretending to play?
This is a gem. I love old Underoath.
The clean & screamo vocals meshes really well
Yes. Now they are a TikTok-band lmao
The fact that they're playing this year AT THIS LANDMARK in October is incredible to me.
God that final take when they are kicking the shit out of each other is just full on classic underoath. Makes me so happy.
Wish dude stayed
@@donalddlugos6688 Heft left Underoath, and Josh left Norma Jean right after they put out a successful first album.

I lived an hr from Ocala as a kid and had this on dvd after seeing them play a local church. Good memories.
I live in Port St. Lucie and try to never miss a show when they play locally!
Pure nostalgia at hearing that intro again, thank you for the video
This is my favorite song...... it 🤔 speaks to me the most.
It’s so weird seeing Dallas Taylor so young and up close like this haha

True! But they played the songs from that album since January 2002, and this video was filmed in September 2022 😃
Damn, what an epic video.
Thank you so much. I've watched this music video 100 times or more and this just makes it even better.
3:35 Dude is referencing Just Push Play by Aerosmith. “Remember that song?” Lmao yeah man it came out just a couple years before this video 🤣
