    Love the psychology play on your videos. You avoid "you should do x, y, z". You say "try this and things like this". Instead of just following a guide, you're teaching people to think about it and why it works.

    A great guide to deep playmakers. My favourite is RPM, I always use against wide formations. This role does an advantage in deep play from the middle. And in an advanced attack it does an advantage in zone14 and when needed will run into the penalty area. A role strongly connected to the ball which makes him able to make a big difference in any sector.

    u was used to always have a DLP in my tactics because its such a must have role but lately i really learned to love the regista. Especially in a formation that playes with a double pivot the regista is, for me, the better choice. A DLP, even on support, will always be a safetiy first player while the regista does more fancy stuff :D
    Something that gets overlooked a lot of times are the "hidden playmakers" or supporting playmakers (at least i call them so :D) Roles like a carrilero or a inverted winger on support. basicly roles that have good vision and passing but are not a focus role which makes it less likely that they get covered by the opponent.
    So...i hope that was enough for the algorythm. :D

    DM Playmakers are really fun to use. Here's my take on these three DM roles:
    Roaming Playmaker: box-to-box midfielder who can dribble and penetrate, ideal for teams that rely on counter-attacks or quick transitions.
    Deep-Lying Playmaker: playmaker who dictates the tempo of the game, high-vision player, perfect for possession-based teams that build attacks from the back.

    A question I've been unable to answer myself being a newbie to FM, and after watching your videos is how many playmakers should I have in my formation, I'd assume one is kinda mandatory, but I do not know if 2 or 3 are a litlle bit overkill already. As an example, would a 4-2-3-1 formation work fine with an enganche and a DLP?

    • @TheDeepLyingPlaymaker
      @TheDeepLyingPlaymaker  Месяц назад

      The nice thing (and maybe tricky thing) is that you don't need to use any playmakers if you don't want to. And there are plenty of successful tactics that use mutliple playmakers; and the common one would be what you've suggested (some kind of AM playmaker with a DM playmaker).
      If you're curious, my personal preference is to only use one playmaker. Not that it's the "right" way to play or anything, I just like to focus the tactic around one and fill out the roles accordingly :)

    I am a bit dissapointed that you always seem to use a rpm in the defensive midfield. I've been using it instead of a b2b and I find it plays really differently to how you describe and the advice translates pretty poorly. Mine loves to go out to the flanks when my if cut's inside and even drops to a fb position when the midfield's occupied. You emphasise how other players should get out of the way to give the rpm space to work in but as an 8 they are more pure ball progressor who roams to create that space himself. Because they're usually so dangerous on the ball, you're asking entirely different questions when they receive the ball outside of the midfield that's meant to deal with him and that roaming overload on the flank is really tough to defend against
