Lmao, rich boomers watching gacha adds at a horse race sounds hilarious. The rest of them are also just kinda cringe. Can we get some of those colabs with... you know... games? Hell, some of these deffinitly cost more than some whole ass games. Surely, they could do better with that advertising money than this. Actually... cygames did do more. Granblue has a whole ass fighting game (a pretty good one at that) and a buy to play RPG.
I mean the azur lane thing was part of a bigger collaboration involving World of Warships, among other organizations. For the orgs involved for the somewhat niche interests of most who play something like World of Warships/Azur lane it was probably right up their alley. There's more crossover between naval history buffs and AL players than you'd expect and honestly i wouldn't be surprised if the same is true of Umamusume. Though I'd more expect it in a japanese horse racing event. These sorts of events are much more unusual in places like the US, rather than unusual as a whole in my mind. A decent amount of the vets I played war thunder with for years watched Girls Und Panzer just because its the singular tank anime, for better or worse, solely because it's focused on tanks. The Genshin x Discovery Channel, and Reverse:1999 x Discovery Channel collabs made a ton of sense to me even if further removed comparatively.
@NFTMASSACRE look, i'm pretty tuned into mainstream gaming at least and even "gamers" groan when out stuff comes up on screen during events. I even saw a game awards recap that got rid of like half the anouncment as "weeb shit noone cares about" lol.
@@bencegergohocz5988 that happens too yeah but I doubt they're aiming for people that have already come to a conclusion on these things. Most people don't watch ads with baited breath, but its possible at one moment you'll be bored, hungry, or in need of a product of whatever variety and the first thing that comes to mind is the last product you heard of. Think of how many people used to scoff when people would talk about gamer things, how many scoffed at the idea of microtransactions/battlepasses, language changes with market share.
@@bencegergohocz5988sure? I wouldn't say those people are the target audience. Can never force a product on someone through an ad. But I'm sure they groan at comfy games, mobile games, etc as well. Honestly I see more now groaning at gacha games specifically as opposed to ACG in general. Which is wild considering that never used to be a familiar term. Were usually just consigned to the mobile game umbrella.
Came here from R/Gacha and thought is a pretty good video since i thought it would be a heavily edited video but it's pretty straight to the point.
this is actually really good keep it up man!
Imagine, the UN delegations who about to discuss some crisis in nations and found out there is gacha game collab with so called UN

Missed Reverse 1999 x Discovery
