Cassie from Mili just made a tweet few days ago that goes like “Enjoying something that nobody else likes is not cringe. Cringe is when youre pretending to like something because other people seem to enjoy it” this video kinda reminds me of it
Never played or watched Limbus company gameplay but I still end up in videos like these for some unknown reason; just by listening to mili once in a while, I may be sharing that one braincell all of you have 💀
Yo it’s u, I got into PM from Redmist. After discovering Empty Dreams from a video, I got addicted and my recommendation was flooded with ur songs and among them was Redmist which was an absolute gem, I listened to it nonstop for a real long time. Thank you so much for ur music and introducing me to PM, keep cooking :)
Talking about music online without being a pro is kinda scary. It's not just because of the possible bullying you'll get, but I don't know, at least for me music has always been something very personal so its also like exposing things about myself to strangers haha.
I am a middle schooler now A theater kid who always felt just out of place I am hyperfixated on both Project Moon and Vocaloid I love how I could connect to each of the 12 sinners in limbus company in one way or another Jamie P is genuinely my favorite vocaloid artist too (I’m a kasane teto simp) I guess the only thing I can say about Jamie P is that her music sticks out like a sore thumb With most vocaloid producers you would see high-pitched and fast paced And while Jamie P does do that, my favorite song, Machine Love, has such a unique feel that produces an immersive feeling, sending a tingling sensation throughout my body No one else has been able to send that feeling of satisfaction I can relate as I felt weird listening to vocaloid And Jamie P changed that People around me can call me cringe Dramatic Immature But I’m not as scared of myself anymore Thanks for making this video, genuinely
OH MY GOD I LOVE MACHINE LOVE! Continue to love the music you love! My favourite vocaloid producer on the Japanese side has to be Seven By Four, and I *love* the slow sense of ever moving dread in some of their songs (Like hana ichi monme and pledge). I just got into limbus too, and I’m in love! In fact, I’m considering making a fansong as a producer myself because that’s how I show my highest love for a piece of media. Sorry for geeking out lol, it happens when I get excited
Sleeper agent activated! I have tinnitus since I was a child. It caused me to suffer during my school life and made me repeat twice due to how unbearable the ringing is. I will not thank that damned ringing but it helped me discover a lot of music related things which led me to project Mili who led me to project Moon.
I may be a PM fan, but THANK YOU! You get what I always search in those reactions videos. Yeah, a profound analisis about the music and it's distinct sounds and how they work together is fun, but when put in the whole perspective (specially in OST music) it is what makes music peak. By the way, I connect a lot with Don, so thank you a lot for your opinion on the song, it was great. And don't leave the game, it just keeps peaking
I AM MY BIGGEST FAN RAHHHHHH Edit: holy this guy is an actual Mili fan I saw that Camelia snuck in there Edit 2: Hero genuinely made me cry both when I first heard it (in-game) and once again with the parts you showed here it's so peak
My favourite song, at least right now, would have to be Dongbaek's theme from the same game as Don Quixote. The setup for the song was great, because the game disappointed me when I saw that Dongbaek had manifested EGO (essentially forged her own path against all odds, which gave her strength), yet didn't get a new theme, instead it just uses a generic battle theme used in earlier fights. But after 2 turns, the entire background of the scene changes from a hell-stricken lab to a meadow of yellow camellia flowers, and so does the music, which changes from a high tempo electronic battle theme to a calm piano with a low violin. We essentially got taken to her own mindspace during the fight, and you get to hear exactly what she dreamed the world to be. There are sounds of laughter and joy sampled within the music, and the climax of the song tries to sound as hopeful as it can be, but there's a hint of tragedy in it, because in reality she can never bring back the league of nine. Yet Dongbaek tries anyway, she tries to set the seeds for a new league of nine to appear so that others can feel the same joy she once felt. She could never let go of the past, and it made me resonate with her character so much, especially because I can relate with that desperate hope to keep your memories of better times from leaving you, because looking to the future feels impossible when nothing that awaits you there will match how things used to be in the past. And I don't think I could've resonated with it so much if it wasn't for the song, and the way it's integrated into her fight within the game. Canto 4 definitely had issues with the pacing of the story, the frustratingly long filler fights, and characters that are barely expanded upon, but the story it tries to tell is beautiful, and I think Dongbaek's fight did it best. Seeing her reappear in the final cutscene when Yi Sang was on the verge of giving up in the fight against Dongrang nearly made me tear up Thanks for making this video. I've always been afraid of sharing my music tastes, so much so that I have an entire playlist of "acceptable" songs separate from all my other ones to share with my friends, because in my experience I've always been shamed for those tastes. I doubt it will be easy but I'm going to start trying to be more honest about the things I like, and your video really inspired me to do so. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do next
I get you about having to make a seperate playlist for friends, also Dongbaeks them is one of the few songs from limbus that I downloaded onto my phone. I just keep coming back cus its so good
Wish more people talk about their more "obscure" music interests. The music you shown in this video aren't really borderline lost media, they are popular, they have an audience, but somehow people just don't openly talk about it. I get the fear of being called "cringe" but it's legit good music, and you're not alone in being a fan of it, so don't be ashamed in speaking out your heart. Great video, also looking forward to you sharing more music lmao
many old anime suffer from this so hard Bee Train staff choose very unique tone setting artist for there projects El Cazador De La Bruja lives rent free due to this fav tracks is Forest if only anyone advertised any of the shows so more then niche groups could jam
You put in a much more eloquent way than I could explain exactly why I loved Hero so much ;w; When i played that part in the game it moved me to such tears. It felt like my own experiences in life were lining up and synchronized with Don Qui's in a way I had never felt before playing a video game or listening to music. Mili always does such a fantastic job with the songs in Project Moon's games, but this moment especially just broke through and smashed every pessimistic feeling I've ever had before 😭
Entered as a Limbus fan, stayed cuz I’m a Vocaloid hater-turned-lover since high-school, and commented/subbed because I love music. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your vids! Very well done!
Personally my favorite song is “Fly, My Wings”. If it weren’t for that song I’d probably be six feet under. Canto 4 was a very personal chapter for me, I understood both Yi Sang and the main villain. The hope in you being destroyed and apathy consuming and the hate for the past. Yet seeing that final scene, Yi Sang broke free and got his wings, the music feeling so defeated and then the elevation to the beautiful realization that I can make my own ideal as long as I continue and never give up. That song, whenever I need to remind myself why I live, I play that song and I can’t help but wanna cry and move forward. I love my favorite spoiled potato
You make a great point on why music can be great Sure the technical aspects matter, but what really makes a song resonante with one's heart is context and emotional attachment. Mentioning Mili, their songs in the PM series make a great example. For most people listening to the song by itself, Between Two Worlds is seen as their weakest song by far. But how it's used in Canto 3 is exceptional. This is the first time we start fighting against enemies above our power grade, and when the fight finally starts, we get a quite moment where the eery, christmas like music comes in to see we fight Kromer by herself after all these difficult fights against groups. That moment is unforgettable for me. And then of course there is Through the Patches of Violet. By itself it is still a very enjoyable song, but what has made the song so memorable, and equally so made Canto 6's erlking fights so great, was the use of the music to create an incredibly fun and overdramatic atmosphere. The duet opening for 6-48 still has to be the single best boss opening cutscene just because of how great an opening TtPoF makes for it.
I'm so happy you brought up the final cutscene of Don's Canto, because that, in my eyes, is a cinematic masterpiece. The way everything; story, music, visuals, voice acting, the freaking SOUND EFFORTS even, is at their peak form, working in tandem to produce this slice of greatness. It has impacted me greatly, and it will be a long time before I find something that surpasses this. You are absolutely right, this is a brilliant example of what happens when director and composer have a lot of trust between each other, the singer Cassie Wei even mentioned on Twitter that she and Director Kim Jihoon are friends.
Came for the Project Moon content as a sleeper agent, stayed due to your excellent video and music recommendations (especially Jamie-P since I'm a long time Vocaloid fan, can't believe I just found out about him now). Thank you! Gonna be watching your previous videos, Lounge & Slime Station. I was kinda a cynical kid in my childhood, which drew me into Vocaloid songs. A few specific songs I always remember are: Clean Freak (Scop ft. GUMI), Sacrifice of Sheep (Gakusen-P ft. GUMI), Wonderful World (23.exe ft. Miku), No Logic (JimmyThumb-P ft. Luka). I also like the songs of Takayan, Tuyu, Sabaton, Mili (of course), Touhou Circles and the songs of the Ar Tonelico series, among others.
Children of the city by Mili: 1) lyrics and the vibe of the song fits charecter for whom it was made perfictly 2) It's very relaxed and i like it 3) i associate it with life mine or everyone near me. Also The rain formerly known as purple is great. It really help me to get in the mood for some hard work maybe becouse of the repeating patterns, but one thig i can say for sure the musician hit the spot
i cry every time when i hear "Hero~ Gonna prove my version of justice IS more just than yours~". It is second time i cried at limbus boss theme. First was when I finally got to Yi Sang's Canto, because when I heard it first time not in game i thought it was bad (I already heard Compass and Trough Patches of Violet, Two worlds, and it got me used to its pace) and it was slow and not bright, i didn't understand when comes peak part of song, but when i heard it in game with visual and context i loved Fly, My Wings I cried like a girl, it got deep in my heart. I aknowleged about Limbus Company when I watched video with Miku Miku beam meme with Don Quixote, and firstly i thought Don was some Vtuber who made meme, but no, it was even better. I like most of Mili songs from games just because I am interested in those games (From place of love, Iron Lotus, And then is Heard No More). Sorry if i messed up somewhere or if didnt understand what the actual crap i said, Englis is my seconf language so im bad at it, and I just said what i think after I watched the video.
The moment the chorus to I Wish That I Could Fall hit, I just started dropping the biggest tears I have in some time. Thank you for introducing me to my new favorite vocaloid song ❤️
Came for the thumbnail, stayed for the JamieP mention, gosh you definitely earned a new sub. Edit: I recommend you listen to Harvey by Her's if you never have, it's a very special song to me given that it's one my partner showed me to say she loved me, plus the story around the band makes me feel a lot. Plus anything by x0o0x_, the writing is Incredibly easy to spin into stories and the experience of finding one of those nameless songs for the first time has stuck with me for a long time.
the album Frailty by Jane Remover is one of the most important things to me right now. It marks the first time in my life I've ever felt fully seen and understood by all facets of a piece of music. After loving such a wide variety of music across my life, this chance encounter made me realize that people who I can identify with the experiences of exist, and I've just not been looking in the right place this whole time. Great video; you bring up a lot of the things I've been trying to tell people for years lol. You pushed me into a rabbit hole with that beatboxing for sure
Honestly good video, for me music was something hard to describe in complicated terms so it's cool to see someone so passionate about it(plus based choice of thumbnail manager esquire)
I always really found it hard to articulate "why" I like the music I like. I used to play a few instruments but never really felt it, and I didnt listen to much besides when my father played his 70s, 80s and 90s hits on the radio. But after starting to really play videogames at 14, I kind of drifted into sometimes listening to remixes of the music... until with 16 I landed on 2 songs called "exit this earths atomosphere" and "cycle hit" by camellia (and friends). I consider this moment as one in my life, where I feel like my entire brain chemistry got rewired. I was super into the scene of rhythm game music without even playing them, and that experience really opened me up to so much more. Through that entryway I found so many now favourite artists of mine, like the entire label Hardcore Tano*C, or the beatboxer KAJI. During that time I also found other artists like mili, that had been featured in the anime I started to watch. And with that I realised something else. I really like mili already, but the songs I listen to on repeat are those I have a connection to by playing Project Moon games. Gone angels, Iron Lotus, Hero, Compass and all the others. I may not know the technical stuff or whats behind it, but since the time Camellia made something in my brain positively snap, and since I started caring and paying attention to it more, I found my way to express myself about the music I like. By sharing the passion, be it about its origin, its relations and meaning to me, or just how I found a track I vibed with on a drive at 2am. Everytime it felt cringe or wrong, came down to me having rather low self-esteem, and just being passionate around my friends really brought it up somewhat. Ironic, since I always enjoyed when friends did that same thing, but I never thought to try. Basically, talk about what you love with those dear to you. I may have severe brainrot from by now almost half a decade of Project Moon exposure, and it might tend to be a bit much sometimes, but its what I love to do.
Music is very important thing to me and this video actually hit me hard because I also enjoy people talking about music with such passion. For me music was always about having personal emotional connections to tracks and albums, creating scenarios in which these songs can be used as a soundtrack and forgetting about everything else in the world for some time. Or even reliving some emotions I had in the past. Vorokhtah EP by the band Sleeping Bear is a great example of something that hit me hard lately and it did it without a single lyric. This EP has two long songs and they sound exactly how my last failed relationship felt. The way the first song is slowly moving towards climax and the second one builds up out of the feelings the first one left is brilliant and I can't help crying a bit when I listen to this EP. This is the power and this is the reason why I love music so much
When I heard "vocaloid", I expected you to talk about GHOST too, about how insane JamieP went in WeiWARD ROMANCE... You could talk how beautiful and grandiose the EPIC series composition is despite the soulless cinematic style, or about how insane and alien the music in Japanese projects such as .hack// and Ar Tonelico are. I am not disappointed, but enthralled just how this video could be so much bigger yet how beautiful it is in its simplicity as well, and now I want to see just how much more will you do. Keep up the amazing work, mate
14:35 I’ll never get over that phase 1 of the boss was the Ferris wheel being controlled by Don Quixote, dude literally became the windmills he “fought” against
aaaaaaaaaa i forgot why i clicked the video, so immersed in the music convo. its so emotional and amazing , dont even need the music theory (would be nice to know). GLORY TO LIMBUS COMPANY. surely even more amazing things coming.
I've been in love with both the sound and meaning of a few Jamie-P and Mili songs for a while now so I got double jumpscared by my interests in this video. Incredible taste and incredibly well put, superb video. I had no idea who Don Quixote was until now.
Driver's High has been my favourite song for the last few years now. I started listening to it around the time I decided to pursue animation as a career. I remember playing it between job sites (construction) hyping myself up for the inevitable that I've chosen for myself. Whenever the song is playing it feels like a reminder to pursue a dream. A lot of songs I like are tied to anime and how I remember them. I mostly listen to music that is in the shows I like, since it almost feels like I'm reliving the feelings the show has brought me without having to revisit the story. Cha-La and Dan Dan Kokoro makes me feel like a kid again watching Dragon Ball.
I am so excited to have found Your channel before You blew up, as for the video itself, I am genuinely glad that You've shown me how to properly voice the way that music affects me. Least to say, I'm really excited to watch You from now on. Regarding my favourite song, that'd probably be ZUTOMAYO's "Truth in lies", it's just the general melancholic but at the same time positive undertone meaning of that song which also meshes well with the singer's voice. I'm really bad at explaining things properly since english is my second language but I think the best way for me to put it is that it's a really emotional and fascinating story turned into a song, which is what I personally REALLY enjoy from this music artist whenever it comes to her works.
i like my music when i can see a story from it, that's why i usually like game or anime music. for example digging hole by amazarashi, i can vividly see a man down to his last leg on the depth of despair, he trash around trying to find justification for his misery blaming everyone and everything from the world to god himself till he finally ended up blaming himself (this is usually where people meet their end)
Bait used to be believab- holy shit is that don quixote? I rode the don train since day 1, and dons song resonates with me in the fact that if you put your heart into the act, even the dissapointments you have and suffering you remember can become fuel for beautiful moments as long as you greet your challenges with valor. shit moved me, but definitely as a great step 2 to the song that absolutely floored, Fly My Wings. While don was living basically a lie, yi sang was stuck in the mud of truth, and his song broke me by showing someone who still wanted to pick up the shards of his mistakes and fly, even if it was just one last time, to reach an ideal he thought he could never reach. seeing yi sangs moment screwed me up because the way the scene was framed just before the beat drops is by framing you as a jaded viewer who has seen both misery and happiness, and then puts yi sangs mirror right in front of you, making sangyi YOUR mirror, having him say "this is a mirror, if i have these wings, surely they belong to you", that loosened the valve. When the beat finally drops and the wings of glass filled the entire room i was crying man. Unironically put me on a better path, and dons canto was so nice as an addition to that, that even if you dont believe you can ever make it, theres nothing stopping you from hyping yourself up and loudly proclaiming to the world that you will do it until its done right. Sarijanae is also amazing, the entire roster getting a chance at their own version of the credits theme is something i wish i saw more of in other media. it feels like a great way to wrap up their feelings in their own version of bittersweet. Donquis being a self duet and Yi sangs quiet whisper rap are by far my favorite credits songs. But Gregors is the one i would sing the most. I like Sancho, also known as quixote, or Don Quixote, where 'don' is a title representing her status.
as a amateur hobbyist omposer, and enjoyer of milli, this is awesome! good job at handling some of the more slight nerdy music stuff for the people who dont know! also somehow havent heard of jamieP ty for introducing !
Mili and Project moon (who made Limbus company) are like a match made in heaven as Mili deeply understands the character that's singing the song. I can't decide which song is my fav, but today I'm vibing with "Between Two Worlds (let's lament)". I love it when Mili has a "[she's] saying what we're all thinking" moment (examples: sleep trope metropolis and grow ups paradise). Mili is the perfect cup of coffee that I can vibe with. Though when I sing their songs, I sing alto or even tenor to fit into my vocal range then I get surprised by how high mili sings the song when I go to relisten XD. Also, I love Don Quixote's arc (which you can hear in the Hero song) since it points out why I don't like heroes but turns it into a positive.
honestly, just in general all of pmoon catalogue with mili, including the to kill a living book album that they made for library of ruina, is worth dissecting
Omg amazing video!!! O_O This is literally an example of how i WANT to talk about music but cant. This just feels solid and soo interesting (also 13:12 ahaha haha... I genuinely thought it was a real cover but DAM this is apparently a part of editing???!!!??!!?!?)
this video has been an enjoyable watch for me! I really love music and how it is able to let me experience emotions that I have never felt or being able to resonate with songs that deeply relates to my own life itself. I have been struggling to express these into words and your video has given me insights on how to express them in a good way, rather than using music mumbo jumbo terms which I'm not very well educated at to express it. thank you for this video! my favorite song is Mizlecca by Hagali and the reason why I love it is simply because it drags me into a fantasy magical world!
For me it was best worded by my grandmother, in regards to an artist, as a difference between playing and performing. As a listener it's similar. I want to learn guitar at some point, but so far there just aren't many songs I want to play. And performing a song that you don't emotionally "understand" is very noticeable. But I might end up coming back to piano, it might be a better fit.
This video has finally helped me nail the feeling on an album I’ve been listening to for quite a while. A few months ago I found The world is too small (wide) we are to live comfortably by the circle Kairo. It’s a remastering of the circle’s old album songs and some new songs as a final send off to the circle’s disbanding. I was (still am) enamored with this album, listening to this throughout the day and while sleeping. I decided I’d listen to all their albums, listening to all their songs and seeing their improvement. All the albums were great, amazing even. Yet none managed to elicit the same emotions I felt listening to The world is too small (twitSW). It wasn’t that they chose all their best hits and played them back to back for twitSW, because some of my favorite songs from them were not included. At the time I had just chalked it to quality. twitSW was their last album and it was a remastering so it was “objectively” better music which is why I liked it more. After watching this video I was inspired to go back and relisten to all their albums. My opinion still hasn’t changed. All the old albums are great, and have songs I like even more than the ones in twitSW. Hell, I think the older versions of some of the songs were better as well. But twitSW still makes me feel something none of the other albums do. At the very end of my listening marathon, I decided to relisten to twitSW. RUclips already had the video halfway completed from my last watch. Rather than reset the video back to 0:00 I thought “eh, it doesn’t matter”. Then I thought “wait, what?”. What tf did I mean by it doesn’t matter? It’s odd enough to start an album from the middle, but even potentially being halfway through a song? How could that not matter? So I closed my eyes, and started just jumping to random points in twitSW. And it really didn’t matter. No matter where I jumped, no matter how disjointed I always felt the same thing: Nostalgia It wasn’t like it all sounded the same, the album jumped from simple chords to death metal screaming. Yet I get this sense of nostalgia I’ve never had before. The first time I listened to twitSW it felt like my hundredth. The hundredth time it felt like my thousandth. That was the difference between this album and all the others: feeling. It makes me feel in a way nothing else does.
Also while writing this comment I got to the point where you talk about 2012 SoundCloud. For that same feeling I’d recommend the channel Tohocluster. They do mashups of exclusively 1 niche circle with cult following and literally anything else. Some of the works I’d recommend most is Let’s ghost boys!, the less I know Japanese goblin the better, reverse virtual insanity trigger, and tell me why sci-fi romance
Dang our musical listening experiences are way too similar (You have my thanks for introducing me to JamieP)! The only difference would maybe be Rhythm Game music. Vocaloid, beatboxing, and mili are honestly three things that I never expected to see in the same video.
Cool music, absolutely clicked because of thumbnail. Also, Limbus keeps being peak, I literally don’t know how but I’m sure they’ll manage to top it again because I’ve thought that they couldn’t top it every time.
Neru is vocaloid producer that. The theme of the song was very resonating during my school day. How to world domination, terror and lost one weeping is my top 3 of his old works
A song that's really special to me is Pollyanna from the Earthbound/Mother album I once went through this really really awful period of my life, and the song's nostalgic vibes and hopeful lyrics really, deeply spoke to me. The promise of a second chance, of a bright future and a magical world, it was exactly what I really needed to hear at the time and it would bring me to tears each time I listened to it.
Sancho, I have concieved an idea most ingenious. This video is really good at explaining so and such about music. I am really happy that limbus company was included here being the most peak gacha game ive ever seen.
In a sense, music is just beautiful since there are no wrong answers as to what "YOU" like. Each music has its tone and a story to tell, or maybe its just some random funny notes mashed up together then it just clicked in our minds! People can enjoy one genre, or all of them. When I say there are no wrong answers, i meant : there is no need to feel burdened to listen to any songs, "mainstream" music or whatnot. You can go listen to metal or J-rock today and still enjoy some jazz, classics or even RnB's and country music. The one to determine that music is enjoyable, that music is a "banger", dope or down-the-gutter, it's just your preference. I said this out of experience, given that when I was a kid, I listened to 90's music or some 2000 music like Justin Bieber's " Baby" Or Carl Rae's "Call me Baby". Switched to more rock-ish and Vocaloid ones like Slipknot, System of a down, Utsu-P, Pinocchio-P, Neru, even Utaite's like Mafu, uratanuki, soraru, Araki, Hashiyan! Nowdays I just listen to fourtwenty, Ari Lasso, or Hindia. The resonance that I had from the past is just mixed with the ones I have now: upbeat and rushed, lively and even screeching to show anger, dark and somber yet sounded so cheerful; but now it's calm, soothing, mellowed out but still vibrant in its ways. Sometimes listening to songs just feels nice, other times it felt like it's an experience to aid on whatever feelings you can't even describe at all! 😂 Again, this whole chat may be a rant. But this video is already on point with how I feel when listening to music: "YOU" are the audience, "YOU" are the one who could resonate with the sound and music itself, and "YOU" Are the one who could say that music you're listening to is good or bad since it's still "YOUR" Preference. Also I do have to thank you for introducing me to Jamie-P! 🙏🙏 The clips you showed in this video made it feels like their songs have some interesting hues of color, vibrant yet also slightly melodramatic (i like to listen and feel the songs then interpret them into colors, like Mili's 'Compass' are prussian blue but also periwinkle and light purple, but also sparks of orange and amber).
19:35 say nothing more. You earned my respect. (And sub lol-) This video is gold, and has RE-introduced me to genres I have long since forgotten, and for that. I thank thou for pouring thy heart into this beautiful and fragile piece I hope you have humble bubbly jumbly day and I hope our roads strike once more sometime soon, oh dearest stranger, I wish you a happy day and a joyful year. Now farewell and may you have a *GREAT FANTASTIC* day!~
Although I do play Limbus company and enjoy Mili's song a lot, my main genre of games and sources of music has always been rhythm games. All of the songs are so unique and there is always something new every song dropped. Nothing feels better than a secret boss songs that flows so well with the chart on our first playthough. If you want an examplethe rhythm game I play the most, Arcaea, recently had a major update with a boss, Designant. The chart is really fun to play but what struck out even more is the animated background and its beautiful visual effects accompanying the 2nd hardest chart in the game. After going through an entire puzzle, unlocking and playing it for the first time, the only thing I could say was... PEAK! So, with this in mind, I highly recommended to check out the rhythn game side of music. There is so much to explore, and there is even a competition for it. It is called the BMS of Fighters and its a yearly competition with hundreds of competitors. Not only do you need a song but also a background animation or video to accompanying it. BOF is currently holding its 20th competition but I highly recommend you to listen to the previous years top 5 too!
It’s odd, out of sheer luck I see a funny Don on a thumbnail and a title wanting to talk about music. Sure! Why not! Magically, watching this whole video it’s odd how I relate so much. The same feelings and experiences you had thinking you’d be “cringe” is what I experienced. Alienated due to my passion for sound that wasn’t mainstream. Wanting to surround myself with music, trying to become an audio engineer- like you- so I can continue learning and creating a career out of this passion. Hearing you talk about music in such light gives me hope. It gives me hope that this is the right path for me, and that there is a place for me. So, thank you. Genuinely, thank you for sharing your passion with us.
I love the song shingakki 6. Its gentle rhythm always brings me to tears. It reminds me of good times with friends because of its connection to Azumanga Daioh. I also think that the song called Sueno Impossible 3 that plays after the fight with Don Quixote is underappreciated.
I don't know how to say it but your video really made my day, firstly because i have the same problem with vocaloid and secondly because im a project moon fan and the canto ending was really something emotional for me. So thank you for the video
I recently hearing genre called SKA it combines reggae and jazz so it very to listen also it my childhood music because my dad listen to it every day and become addicted to it,to put it mildly. So i ask my father about a particular music that i listen when i was a child he told me it was SKA music. The music i ask is road to cairo (or something along the lines) by madness. And after knowing what genre i wondering about i search more about it and it was fun. From my father recommendations for SKA music:baggy trousers, our house, massage to rudy He said that the classic of SKA genre Also nice Don art you have there it cute.
If only there was a better way to show my appreciation to videos than just pressing the like button, like pressing a super-like button or something. But, alas, that is yet to exist so a comment will do the job. I love seeing people expresses their emotions, their feelings, their experience over something. Even when it's not coherent, like a sniffle, a keyboard spam, a grunt, a reaction image. I'm also in the same boat, I stutter, trip over my own words when trying to describe what I appreciate so much about something. But because I'm stubborn, I brute-force my way through the vocabulary that I lack, or the awkwardness that I feel, just to get my point across. I love when people also love what I love, being able to understand what they like about the same thing that I like from a different angle. Or maybe they don't, and they hate it. They despise something for the same reason that I love it. In that case, I still want to understand what they feel about it. Even though I do get defensive about that thing that I love and they hate, I still love seeing people expresses themselves. What I don't love is when people blindly love or hate something, sometimes just because it's popular, or they're trying to paint themselves in a different light than what they truly feel just to appease to others or fit in. Because I can't ask them how they feel about it, their answers feel shallow and empty and I don't like that. I love listening to professionals talk about the things that they've honed in for years, and appreciate the insights they have when talking about them, but when they throw out and having to explain terminologies and concepts that a lowly peasant like me would only ever dream of understanding, I feel like there has always been that invisible barrier, that small gap, preventing me from just grasping what they really enjoyed from the thing they enjoyed. What I thought was a simple video on my homepage of a music professional gushing about the intricacies of Mili's music turned out to be a video that resonated with me the way that only a number of video essays ever do. The way you explained why you love the artists that you love so much for simpletons like us made me realise that the gap between the average Joe and a pro doesn't have to exist. And the way you talked about Canto 7's climax made me tear up just like the first time I played it. And here I thought I got over it after watching it for the 6th time. All in all, amazing video. Liked, shared, subscribed, and notification bell was hit. Bravo slime. 👏👏👏

Jamie P is genuinely my favorite vocaloid artist too (I’m a kasane teto simp)
I guess the only thing I can say about Jamie P is that her music sticks out like a sore thumb
With most vocaloid producers you would see high-pitched and fast paced
And while Jamie P does do that, my favorite song, Machine Love, has such a unique feel that produces an immersive feeling, sending a tingling sensation throughout my body

BASED Ishmael enjoyer!
I AM MY BIGGEST FAN RAHHHHHH
Edit: holy this guy is an actual Mili fan I saw that Camelia snuck in there
Edit 2: Hero genuinely made me cry both when I first heard it (in-game) and once again with the parts you showed here it's so peak
Seeing her reappear in the final cutscene when Yi Sang was on the verge of giving up in the fight against Dongrang nearly made me tear up
Thanks for making this video.

I am so glad to know the entire Project Moon community now also knows about Jamie-P because Love Cafe is my JAM! ALSO Love as Fire
Mili my beloved
You make a great point on why music can be great
Sure the technical aspects matter, but what really makes a song resonante with one's heart is context and emotional attachment.
Children of the city by Mili:
1) lyrics and the vibe of the song fits charecter for whom it was made perfictly
2) It's very relaxed and i like it
3) i associate it with life mine or everyone near me.

This is the power and this is the reason why I love music so much
This is the very reason we make videos! Thank you and I'll be checking out the EP! Gonna tell Lounge (author of this video) too!
@slimeestation Thank you, I appreciate it!

HOLY SHIT JAMIE-P REFERENCE?!?!
Bait used to be believab-
holy shit is that don quixote?
Everyone is talking abt project moon but im so glad beatbox got recognized!
as a amateur hobbyist omposer, and enjoyer of milli, this is awesome! good job at handling some of the more slight nerdy music stuff for the people who dont know! also somehow havent heard of jamieP ty for introducing !
Interesting and fun video! JamieP has a new fan now!❤🔥
Mili and Project moon (who made Limbus company) are like a match made in heaven as Mili deeply understands the character that's singing the song.
This just feels solid and soo interesting
(also 13:12 ahaha haha...
Resonate? Like in Limbus?
For me it was best worded by my grandmother, in regards to an artist, as a difference between playing and performing. As a listener it's similar.
I want to learn guitar at some point, but so far there just aren't many songs I want to play. And performing a song that you don't emotionally "understand" is very noticeable. But I might end up coming back to piano, it might be a better fit.
Vocaloid mentioned!❤ Im here for itt. Love this video btw~
No matter where I jumped, no matter how disjointed I always felt the same thing: Nostalgia
It wasn’t like it all sounded the same, the album jumped from simple chords to death metal screaming.
Same 😮
All of my music taste originates from rhythm games. I used to be obsessed with Frums
A song that's really special to me is Pollyanna from the Earthbound/Mother album
I once went through this really really awful period of my life, and the song's nostalgic vibes and hopeful lyrics really, deeply spoke to me. The promise of a second chance, of a bright future and a magical world, it was exactly what I really needed to hear at the time and it would bring me to tears each time I listened to it.
I’m simple bird
I see Don Quixote thumbnail
I click
GALLOP ON, ROCINANTE! AGAIN AND AGAIN, UNTIL WE REACH THAT DREAM!
I love seeing people enjoy music..
Again, this whole chat may be a rant.
Hues of color? Like in Canto 6?
19:35 say nothing more. You earned my respect. (And sub lol-)
This video is gold, and has RE-introduced me to genres
I have long since forgotten, and for that. I thank thou for pouring thy heart into this beautiful and fragile piece
I hope you have humble bubbly jumbly day and I hope our roads strike once more sometime soon, oh dearest stranger, I wish you a happy day and a joyful year. Now farewell and may you have a *GREAT FANTASTIC* day!~
Send in the sleeper agents.
this is nice thanks lounge as a limbus fan, a beatbox fan and a vocaloid fan. I feel a little happy
Wtf
This is literally me but in reverse
Now I play much more Limbus than rhythm games
Hope? As in the Hope to Become A Better Person?
Project Moon detected. Sleeper agent activated.
Лиммммбуууус Кооомпаааниииии!
Данте...
Thank you for the recommendation for JamieP, been listening to their songs for the past week pretty much on repeat.
From my father recommendations for SKA music:baggy trousers, our house, massage to rudy
He said that the classic of SKA genre
Also nice Don art you have there it cute.
"It peaked and now I'm good," yeah we've been saying that for a while now, just wait til next canto
Nah
Just wait till mili song in canto 16, it will be even better than 15 and 24 combined!!!
What I don't love is when people blindly love or hate something, sometimes just because it's popular, or they're trying to paint themselves in a
different light than what they truly feel just to appease to others or fit in.
Dream? Like the impossible one?
i think i might have found a new fav vocaloid artist thanks to you
