One of the glowing Function keys in the front switches the Dpad into a joystick, which does not work with the Save & Exit Menu. Press the same Function key again & you do not need to reset. Its no software freeze, don't be afraid.
Just got mine yesterday without an sd. Tried with the stock OS and tried with Minui. I like the feel of it but the screen although beautiful is just too small. I liked the a/b/x/y buttons but not so much the rest of the controls. After playing with it a bit - mostly feel 'buyer's remorse...'. It's too small and only plays the stuff that I can already play on devices from a couple years back. It does feel and look nice but just not something I will use. If I didn't have a couple older devices, maybe I would have liked it more.
Knulli is the way to go but it's only in the early stages for the brick. Once it's fully out might pick up the brick for the screen and how nice it looks.
4:23 I think they shortened it cuz of the lack of space to put Nintendo - Gameboy, Nintendo - Game Boy advanced. Maybe it's only for that theme but it seems logical they did it that way. 5:37 LOL! From other video's I've seen is you can program those custom buttons to turn off the d-pad/analog stick. It's pretty darn pricey though 14:45. I got my 40XXV on an Anbernic sale for $61USD and it came out to around $82cdn, then shipping etc. All in all I paid around $115cdn. Nearly double the price! The low dollar really makes a Canadian think about which handhelds to buy now. *sigh* If I was to get this, I'd probably be paying upwards of $140-150cdn.. Ouch! The screen is gorgeous but as a 42yo who has problems playing with my 351V and my RP3+ with my old eyesight and new glasses, it's oye.. I'm kinda glad I went with the 40XXV cuz 3.5 inches is a tad too small for me now, *sigh*. I'm getting old! Jesus! 2 years ago I had no problems with those small screen handhelds, now it's an issue for me. 17:05 Saturn performance! Surprising! I can't get Sega Rally Championship to play at anything over 10fps on the 40XXV. I think you should try out Knulli and other CFW for it, the stock needs a lot of work. Great review!
I think I'll stick with the trimui smart pro. I usually prefer the horizontal handhelds more anyway. I'm sure I'll add this one to my collection someday if it goes on deep sale. Hard to spend that much on it when I got the smart pro so much cheaper.
You aren’t using an official Cross-MixOS build which is likely where your problems are. Cross-MicOS 1.4 will be the first offical build. Could also be a problem with the knockoff SanDisk cards they are using for Surwish
I need to know: is it one-handable? I have a phone ring on my mmv4 that l use to play in bed. Of course, pokemon is generally one handable anyway because of L=A.

Reason why i dont like the stock os or crossmix. I perfer to use knulli just for the better UI and video preview.
Someone should make a little cap for the top usb port to make it look like the shoulder buttons & less noticeable
It's a gaming device... It's a handwarmer.... Great marketing for the Midwest and any Winter prone areas.
