I’m drunk (and an alcoholic) so the detail on this video makes the receiver look like a tree with all those lines close up in high resolution, I have no idea what I’m watching. Thanks man!
I'm really liking the idea of these videos. Looking forward to the next one. On a side note, Izhevsk was where Mikhail Kalashnikov lived and spent his final days before he died.
I have one made in 1942 myself with the triangle with the arrow but at the other end it has the wreath with the hammer and cicle and I have two 91/30's and two Finnish M39's.
Izhevsk also kept the mosin going as long as it did [1948] . I believe the sks as well (For The USSR). If not for Izzy producing Mosins the Complexity of the SVT would have gummed up the Soviet war machine during oporation Barbarossa. Edit: The Dragoon as well 1932 was the last year. I own Two 1931 Ex Dragoons.

Hope you're doing okay now
Only you could deliver a full 12 minutes of content about the Izhevsk marking…awesome video, you’re an asset to the military surplus community!

Thanks Big Sam... another great video.
Great stuff.. I know of this facility as to what kinds of arms were made, but the characteristics of the region and resources is really cool.
Love your idea of Mosin Markings episodes.
It amazes me how rough the wartime receivers are.
In really excited for this series about markings
Good video. Well delivered content. Just a bit long : ) Thank you.
Big Sam when your being bombed constantly the machining was rough!
That mark is only on the trigger guard at the front of the mag plate
