My Lord, I've learned so much from your channel so first and foremost, THANK YOU for these videos! I have an M27 that I bought in Texas years ago that I'll for sure have to take apart now and inspect the trigger. It has a tang dated 1895 which I find fascinating.......My question for you Sir, is it safe to shoot 54R with it? All my research says to only shoot 53R as that was how it was designed. Mine does not have the D barrel shank mark. I can DM you images if you'd like? Thanks again and keep these videos coming!
It is save to shoot 54R in it. But you might have accuracy issues and some "53R" guns can hickup on 54R, because their tolerances are too thight. Just try it out on your range and see if you get really sticky bolts.
heyy big sam how u know is a yugoslav pu sniper i see the izhevsk marking?? greetings from former yugoslavia ;) i saw a izhevsk m44 1946...is it rare??
Hi Domagoj, check out our video on these rifles for more info! They were imported by a company called Samco and have a neat history: ruclips.net/video/BV_Vi4QHeZ4/видео.html Izhevsk made around 160,000 M44s that year, so it is much less common than the war time produced carbines
OK quick question. I have what i believe is a M27 rifle. Everything seems to be correct on it to be an M27. But i dont have this style of trigger on it. It has a normal mosin trigger. But it also has a clear stop for the break of the trigger. I was just wondering did all M27s have that style of trigger or was it a supplie type of thing? Either way love the vid.
Howdy, the trigger could have simply been replaced, so it is really hard to say for certain. It is known however that some of the last M27 rifles were produced with standard triggers
So much to learn. Thank you for helping to shorten the curve on Finn stuff.
Excellent video Sam, never knew this existed, definitely something to watch for!
I had such a trigger in my M91/30 captured and reworked from the finns
really crisp and great for firing
Love the channel! Learn something every time I watch. How would one go about contacting you directly regarding a few simple questions?
Howdy Richard, thanks for watching! You can contact me anytime via email at captainrex1995@gmail.com

Okay Sam... that one actually earned you a new subscriber 😉👍
Thank you archer, that is much appreciated!
Same here.
You should do M27 mosin nagant vs m39 mosin nagant
Kind of a cross between a Mosin Nagant and a Mauser.

@@BigSamMosinMuseum Interesting. Thanks. Well i will try to hunt down a trigger for it lol.
Good info. Like to pick up a '27.
Yugoslavian pu sniper? I need more info on that please
never even seen this piece, even though ive seen a lot of finnish mosins as a finn....
I like the channel, but this isn't a secret. Anyone who knows about Finnish mosins or m27s should be aware of this trigger setup.
