The greatest feature of the whole anime is that whenever a comedic or anxious moment occurs, the art style loses all consistency whatsoever. The characters change, the expressions become delusional, sometimes even the medium changes to claymation or puppets. Its absolutely wonderful and I understand that is 100% a conscious choice.
There are plenty of 4-koma that have been adapted to anime. Off the top of my head, there’s Azumanga Daioh, Seitokai Yakuindomo, K-on!, and Lucky Star. The key to adapting 4-koma is to use the tools of adaptation to fill in the blanks between panels. Do you add in stuff to break up the constant flow of gags? Do you go more in-depth with some of the gags? It’s here where artists, writers, and directors can really pour in their creative juices to create something that really elevates the source material.
Aside from all her dorky giggles, 0:51 is also my favorite. Aoyama did a stellar job voicing Bocchi ❤ I'm also a big fan of Ryo's "wh-wh-whoooooa" when she reads Bocchi's book at the cafe 😂
The scene where Kita found out she accidentally bought a 6 string bass instead of a Guitar was funny cause i once bought something that was not what i thought it was
