I had a similar reaction to Lempicka's Homme the first time I smelled it. Still reminiscent of Au Masculin especially in the opening, but slightly more like a musky, woody syrup. Very simplistic, but so damn pleasing. These days, if I'm not layering with a vanilla base, it's usually my go-to to add sweetness to a fragrance. This one definitely sounds like it leans even more simplistic, but it's strange how those kinds of scents sometimes tickle the pleasure centres juuust right. Always nice to have one in the collection!

I really appreciate you breaking down what you called musky in un bois. Most of your reviews leave me wondering which musk/musky scent you mean...white, animalic,... I have a real distaste for some white musks like habanolide and exaltolide. And castoreum is ok but for me not in heavy doses. So it's always important for me to get a sense of what you mean by "musk".

I bought the entire sample set and really enjoyed several of them. Un Boisand and the Musk were my favorites.

Fantastic fragrance. Very easy to wear, not too woody, musky. Blends extremely well together with Molecule 04. Great great scent.

I sampled several Obvious Parfums from LuckyScent and I totally agree! This scent is gorgeous, clean (not soapy) and woody.
Sounds like we did the same thing. I liked the Poivre as well.
