imagine if this was a tunnel for a rollercoaster ride in a theme park dedicated to Liszt, and we the audience would literally ride through the piece while observing the light show with the music in our ears
@@jamesknowles.3552 definitely, the average Liszt songs require 3 hands to play for a normal person lol. Anyone who can play Hungarian Rasphody No.2 deserves a lot of respect for their skill and practice.
When your only appreciation in music the level of hardness is please never listen to it again, because there are many pieces which look easy but are super hard to play perfect and it‘s also not important if it‘s hard or not, i play gymnopedie and also winter wind at the same time and for me gymnopedie sounds even better
@@eternal.guidance_ Yes, if you appreciate a hard piece for its complexity, you are an uncultured biggot who does not deserve to listen to any kind of classical music and should probably just throw himself off a cliff. Yes, a lot of slower/less complex pieces can be daunting in achieving a high level of mastery but you can't just tell me hungarian rhapsody isn't just as hard to master, if not even harder
Dantoxism i said there are easy looking pieces that are much harder than u think when u look at the sheet music not that it‘s harder than the hungarian rhapsody
here we are 3 years on and still a masterpiece in visual and musical work, I always come for a tunnel ride when I need some instant PEACE and CALM. two songs max and all is well with the world....so I just keep on watching 'til the phone rings or some other distraction demands my attention. then back for another tunnel ride!! then out to the horizons and cityscapes...all excellent work. Thanks for putting something Good on the wwweb.
I would love to have a clock with LEDs on the edge that lit up with the hit of each note just like what is shown here. I love seeing the notes dance around the spectrum.
@ gobblox39 / Go to RUclips search and type "smalin ". and you'll find several dozen animations of classical music, where notes jumping, running, falling. .... depending on what classical composition you choose.Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know why but when I listen to this piece, I feel like Franz Lizt wrote something different everyday to compose this piece and at the end he just put it all together and this was the result. Fantastic.
I can't get enough of these!! Brilliant, inventive!! Watching these digital light shows while some of the favorite pieces I play are presented is the best stuff I've ever watched.
coolest thing I ve ever seen. Piano becomes so easy after watching this. I turned off the light in my room, and watched it with full screen. It is like exploring a mysterious tunnel.
Dude, this format is ingenious. I've never seen a method of real time notation that so accurately denotes what's happening. Congrats on being a genius!
Love this; it seems to finish out the edges of my synaesthesia and make the whole impression more clear. I feel like I now appreciate this piece quite a lot more than I did before.
After watching this video several times, I finally learnt the piece with your tutorial. It was a bit of a special tutorial right there which I've never seen befor but at the end it workout out.. only took me 7 years. Thank you so much. I am going to start a new one tomorrow.
When meditation at my school my teacher puts this on and I LITERALLY just pretend I'm playing this, like this is THE BEST!!! [Also 5:33 is my favorite🎹🎹🎹]
i like the mechanical feel of it. It is like a music box. Every note is played exactly when it is supposed to. It would be nice if the end was more dramatic, but then, it would not be what it is. Perfect. You know it's perfect when everyone has an idea on how to make it imperfect. That's life.
I love music boxes. When I was a child we had a hand-held toy music box that played the Swan Lake theme with little arpeggios going on underneath it. That thing was fascinating to me seeing the visual and audible synchronization of it. It made the music much less abstract.
andy fillebrown there's something about music boxes... in my subconscious, i imagine that the whole universe is a type of music box. Like i told Musanim who does synth... you do not yet realize how important this is. Thank you again.
La infinit aş asculta această compoziție-capodoperă; importantă e şi defătarea vizuală care e pe calibrul compoziției! Felicitări! Să audă şi astrele muzica lui Liszt....Mulțumesc!
Holy Crap......blew me away. Love how the sound and light emerge together...but you can see what is coming. 7:20 is a great place to see that....and see what is coming and just imagine what it will sound like and then hear it. WOW
still considered the best song for slapstick comedy, this song always makes me happy. i can just imagine all the animated chaos happening with this, it's too funny to think of, you did a great job. thank you.
Your animations are pure perfection. Walt Disney would have died to have this capability when he was making fantasia. However, allow me to complain about some of the choices made for the performance of the music. Like this one for example: its a midi file and very robotic. Wasn't there any recording of a real person playing whowould release their copyright to you? I realize that syncing a midi file is a lot easier but it adversely affects the music. In any case, keep up the good work, these are amazing teaching tools.
Thanks. The MIDI files are ok, but I agree with you that they're not the best. If you find someone with good MIDI files willing to release copyright, I'd love to have them. They are not easy to find. That being said, make sure you check out the Goldberg Variations on this channel. They are studio recordings that were released into the public domain by Kimiko Ishizaka that I synchronized using MIDI files made at the same time during the same recording sessions. I wish I had more time to do more like that. Also, make sure you check out the newer videos on this channel. They are made from MIDI files made from real performances recorded during a competition. See the video descriptions for web links. I'm also working on an app that will let people make these kinds of videos easily from any MIDI file they want. So stay tuned for that, too!

Contact Elon Musk or Richard Branson they have the funding to make this happen.
oh heeellllll yeah
Rockit in Universal Studios, just ask if they can put this music there
Imagine that Liszt just created this amazing piece just to flex on every pianist alive, for all the eternity
It’s at 69 likes so I won’t like it. I think Liszt would appreciate the 69.
Also, yeah that sounds exactly like something he would do.
