A 3D music animation with notes passing all around, lighting up as you hear them!
Music composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in the 18th century.
This video was made using Blender (blender.org).
Toccata & Fugue is easily one of THE most powerful pieces of music ever written. Simply spectacular. There's genius - and then there's Bach - a cut above.
Well you certainly can't say you didn't see it coming. (sorry couldn't resist that) I just love how this seems to bring the fugue to life. This is great already knowing what you're going to hear next with the addition of seeing it coming up is just fantastic. Would love to see the Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor done this way. It's my favorite Bach piece out of all of them.
Heh. Here you go! ruclips.net/video/LGIreI-Xftw/видео.html
Really powerful version of the masterpiece. Very hypnotic.
Thanks.
The visualization made this song so much more accessible to my K-3 students!!! Thank you!!!
I love hearing this. Thank you!
Dramatic, I love this piece. Another masterpiece by Andy who brings this music to life 🎶
Thanks Irvy

andy fillebrown I agree! Could I find this, or a performance like it, on Spotify? Most other recordings there have a less powerful sound to them.
Really nice visualization!
The first time I saw this piece visualisered, I could finally figure out why this piece sounded so impressive to me in the past - it was the pattern of the music. It is very distincrive and rich. Love it, and visualisations bring this out for others to see as well.

Just Mind-blowing.
I used to enjoy smalin's visualizations (his music is as far as I am concerned flawless), but now this! THIS! This is what I believe God was listening to and watching when he created the universe and life. This must be the most gut-wrenching soul-lifting spirit-filled emotion-whirlwind-y arrangement of vibrations in the 20 Hz to 20 kHz that must exist in our 4 dimensions.
cool
+andy fillebrown I dont know how to ask it... how much octaves this music have ?
I still like Smalin's version more because this performance just feels too mechanical. Is it taken from a live performance like his, or was the music simulated in the same fashion as the visual? It just distracts me how some of the notes are so even, but I don't know if that was a stylistic choice or just computerization.
Фантастическая визуализация на мировой музыкальный шедевр!💛💙
WHOA. This is fascinating and so rewarding. My students are going to really connect with the piece this way. Thanks!
Yeah RIGHT ON ! i have been recently deflated by the pretty compelling evidence that this is probably not by Bach, but by Johann Peter Kellner. Still doesn't make it any less compelling as a piece,... and Kellner's student, who gave us the earliest extant transcription ascribed it to Bach. Poor Yngwe Malmsteen ! All the scrolling score techniques are great for students! Too bad I didn't have this as a child, my sightreading would have been so much better. Imagine when a score could cost a weeks wages, and then You had to learn to read it note by note!
Great way to visualize those classics! Keep the good work! I hope it's rewarding for you!
It will be nice to see the method of creating those animations.
Pyrotechnic.A whole new way to experience music.
Thank you.
Wow... Bach blowed my mind.
I just love this "Star Wars"-theme, its the best to illustrate this music !
I love this song this reminds me of the fair, Church, Passing all of my classes and further more
Why do I feel like this would be great to watch while stoned out of my mind?
Because at 4:00am I might have just felt the presence of the highest presence possible! Holy shit man holee fuckin wow haha
love the new version, I've been waiting for this one, the old one is still really good
I love this presentation of the music piece. It makes the music much more visual and add so much more enjoyment to it. 👏👏👏
A treat for the eyes and ears, thanks for uploading! :)
Evergreen. Fresh forever.
how beautiful, I could dive into it, forgetting all around me
Cuando veo la animación, me siento dentro de la mente de Bach!
Could you make visualizations like this for violin concertos, symphonies, etc? These are amazing.
Mind blown D:* i think this a form of musical notation i can understand. thank you!
Sin palabras . GRACIAS POR EL TRABAJO.
Eine sehr interessante Idee und gut ausgeführt. Fast hypnotisch zu beobachten.
i always thought this was in the phantom of the opera
Absolute Perfection! Thank you!
I get the impression that visualisations of this piece are more popular than live performances.
That was beautiful and fun. Thank you
That not only mesmerized my ears, but my eyes too.
Music is great, images are awesome, thanks!
You and @smalin would get along really well.
Amazing visuals and the perfect piece to showcase it. Very cool. 😂 pretty sure if Bach saw this he'd say "ya thats what it looks like in my head too."
I would love to see it with different colours for each chord so you get an idea what synthesists experience. And also see what it looks like flattened in a 2d still, what sort of Fibonnaci spiral could be seen. Does anyone weave tapestries based on Bach pieces? It seems like it would make for some intricate and dynamic designs.
I'm late to the party, but this is absolutely stunning.
32' Violone, 16' Basson, 4' Prestant, Viola 4'
Gorgeous!
Gracias por compartir
Genius

Most of the time, the right hand is working frenetically, and the left hand is like "Dude, I'm on break right now. If you don't like it, talk to my union rep."
Interstellar soundtrack is really astounding

The animation reminds me of the Flintstones bobsled game.

Revolutionary etude by chopin please
Why are there only max 4 simultaneous notes in chords? Many of the long chords use all 10 fingers and both feet yet here, there's only a single hand playing.
This should be played on judgement day ..

Hee Andy,
I downloaded your app, but when I load a midi file it won't play when I click the play button. I'm using windows 10 btw.
Nice midi-file. I'd rather listen to actual organ playing.
Next new video game trend: Organ Hero
does the background has any meaning?
The unplayed notes on the outside seem to be a reflection of the played notes inside the circle.
Can you re upload it? I am experiencing playback errors. Not having any trouble on any other video though.
It's a problem RUclips has with 5k resolution videos so I'd rather not re-upload it. I have reported the problem to RUclips already, but more reports from others always help :)
+andy fillebrown I hope it a solution is found soon I really like listening to your work.
+Soundwave142 Thanks, have you tried watching it on a desktop computer. It should work on those.
+andy fillebrown I think I tried it once, got the same results, wouldn't hurt to try again.
Don't play music, so the visuals were distracting for me. Too Star Wars..ee. Like to follow the notes as they come on, but thanks for the presentation nevertheless
