My parents used to play this piano duet when I was a child. Sometimes they would buy an old piano, my dad would tune it up, and then they would sell it for more than they paid for it, but during the weeks it was in the house they would be able to play their duets on two pianos instead of one.

A study certified 6:13 by a scientific journal in 1993 proved that this piece accelerates the brain in 17% if you listen to it 10 minutes a day. It also can reduce the brain waves of patients with epilepsy and reduce morbidity since it has a melody that resonates with the brain. It is fantastic indeed!! I'll start listening to it on a day-to-day basis. Thank you, Mozart for this gift to humanity. ❤

I started playing classical music for my daughter and reading street signs to her while driving...She began reading at 3 and while in middle school, nationally she tested on the 12 grade level in all subjects and in College IQ tested at 150. Si acaso unos 10 segundos, porque en cuanto me. Percate de ello y me. Sorprendí desapareció. Nunca me ha vuelto a pasar. Amo esta composición. De todo lo que he escuchado de mozart es mi numero 1. This piece has been shown to have an anti-epileptic effect on the brain and may be a possible treatment to prevent epileptic seizures, according to new research presented recently at the 7th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology.
Listening to the famous 18th century composer's Sonata for Two Pianos K448 led to a 32% reduction in epileptiform discharges (EDs). These are electrical brain waves associated with epilepsy and can cause seizures or bursts of electrical activity that temporarily affect how the brain works.
The research was led by Professor Ivan Rektor, from the Epilepsy Centre at the Hospital St Anne and CEITEC Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic.
Researchers have previously hypothesised that the Mozart effect in epilepsy was connected to the emotional effects of music, as dopamine (the main neurotransmitters of the brain's reward system) is released when listening to music. Still, there is no direct proof of the mechanism.
In conclusion, Mozart was truly a genius!!!

Its weird i came to listen to this piece cause i have heard tons of cases about reducing seizures. I have epilepsy, and i thought why not give it a try. Though i know it takes great skill ans talent to play classical music i am not a huge fan, however this song i could listen to for hours and not get bored. I have also found in since i have started listening to it i have been getting so much better sleep, and i have been feeling a lot more happier. I dont know how its helping the seizures since it has only been a few dayd since i started listening to the music. But i will say i havent had any seizures since listening to this song. Whether its actually the song or not i guess we will have to find out

don't know about that, but it covers the sound of BBC farting from the neighbours apartment, quite well…usually i have to use pop and rock for that…. cause classical music often has pauses and pianissimo parts through which BBC gets me …but two pianos are rocking thickly enough to keep BBC at bay.

Scientists have just discovered that THIS piece of music, and ONLY this piece, causes a decrease in epileptiform discharges, the brain waves that cause epileptic seizures by 32%. The researchers said, "We believe the physical 'acoustic' features of the Mozart music affect brain oscillations - or brain waves - which is responsible for reducing EDs". Add this to the power of music to temporarily bring Alzheimer's suffers " back into the room " so to say, and music truly is remarkable .

I'm no expert but believe it's really quite the opposite. The perfect symmetry of cascading scales in perfect harmony relaxes the brain and affects spatial perception as it in effect "Tunes" the brain similar to how a person would tune a piano. There is no painful or disturbing dissonance, just healing form and symmetry at 448k.

I am doing research for my masters dissertation (counselling) I am a classically trained musician (clarinet, piano and orchestral percussion) and has been teaching music for 16 years now (career change in progress ) growing up music was my sport and I competed professionally .individually and in bands, orchestras and ensembles. Now, my problem. I HATE MUSIC but i LOVE teaching it and find the effect it has on people fascinating!. I am fully aware that my negative association with music stems from the anxiety and pressure I felt as a child. The effect music has on people are unmistakable and most people find music as a medium to express themselves and find solitude in. I see this everyday with my students. This is why I chose this topic for my dissertation. This particular (k448)composition sparked "The Mozsrt Effect" A book by Campbell on how this specific piece is seen as one of the main compositions used in music therapy. The scientific studies done on this is also well known. It has been proven to helps with spatial awareness and even reduces epileptic seizures in some. ON the other hand. It draws anxiety and a feeling of emotional numbness from me. My husband finds it utterly irritating (he has the most varied taste in music I have ever seen. From death metal to Renaissance and EVERYTHING in between. He always listens to some form of classical music in the background when he is doing research ) My question. Is there anybody else on this site that did not find this piece of music as mention above, or as everybody in the comments below experienced it ? This will help me tremendously if you can tell me one or two things about it that did not resonate with you, or even if you share the emotions you felt. Much appreciated. Thank you

I love classical music, especially piano and violin and often find myself listening to it while reading or knitting but the only reason why I found this piece in the first place was because of Ouran High school Host Club 🙂 I usually find pieces in some show or something, then get curious and decide to listen to that piece again in my own accord.

because of other factors like meds as well but this really helped.

@bryineanthony same I haven't had one in ages, I can't remember the last one I had. I now listen to it every night before I sleep to ensure that it hopefully decreases the chances of me having a seizure during the night, as I have a fo of epilepsy where the only times I have seizures are when I'm asleep, they are always going on in my brain bit my body just picks and chooses when to physically show that I'm having one.

    • @SaltyandSaint
      @SaltyandSaint Год назад

It actually even doesn't matter if you have epilepsy, listening to this making falling asleep even in stress is like a meditation, instead of trying to focus and stay awake, you focus and fall asleep peacefully. Now it's among my before bed medication.

Lovely performance with beautiful phrasing and understanding between the two pianists. The Andante is particularly touching with its simplicity and classical style, what a wonderful way to return to the basics of musical structure. No wonder Wagner was such an admirer of Mozart.
