Hi Angel. Nice video. Thanks for taking the time to do it. I just wanted to ask if you tried to oil the motor when you applied voltage to the actuator. I noticed that you marked the start and end. Could it improve if oil was applied?
Hi Fix It Angle! I was wondering what the voltage was when you were running the actuator manually using the alligator connectors and a power pack.
Is there somewhere around town to get the DTC cleared/reset for free, or cheap? Auto zone can only read codes, but not clear them...

I have this same issue with my 2007 caliber. When you pushed the pin thingie in and turned it with your fingers and I could hear the flaps opening and closing HOWEVER mine can’t be turned with my fingers. The flaps feel locked. How can I test to know for sure?

How about disassembling that component to determine how it failed, or if it simply became gummed up internally. Obviously the solenoid action in it still functions. But maybe the range of motion is less than it is supposed to be.

I have a 2010 Caliber that while sitting at a red light the rpms will just jump from 5 to 600 and go up to about 4000 rpm. it's getting a little sketchy driving it. Also there are no codes shown. Any Ideas would be helpful. That would give somewhere to start anyway.

hi eric, that's odd if there is no codes. i think you have a problem with the throttle position sensor.
sorry there is no way of testing it. you would have to go to a good shop with the right scan tool to diagnose the problem.
What is that cover on top of the battery called the one you first removed ? Mines missing that is that important ?
thats battery cover.....also acts as air suction. if you dont have it you are feeding your engine with hot air.

Does this make engine vibrate or shake when on a stop sign it red light or while idle! I'm having a problem with mine it shakes when stopped at idle anyone has had this experience...

Primo Tripleta 0:13 if your car has that code. More likely you will need to change the runner valve. Sorry I don’t know any symptoms.

mine i changed it twice.... would clear the error but came back in three months. i like what you did marked them and test how far the turn is.....gonna do that. im thinking of the other culprit is the connector(maybe electrical problem?). the sympton is the engine run in lump mode.... not much power(results in slow performance/drive). i always casrrry an ob2 to clear out the error but cameback after 34 miles(thats from home to work and vice versa).

why remove battery its so much extra work,No need to remove filter either just bungee the Intake Hose back and the valve is below it on left 4 minute fix

Plague Plague I don’t think so. Maybe something wrong with your transmission.
Plague Plague no , have your transmission fluid exchanged and make sure you change the transmission filter also or your transmission fluid will be wasted .
po2017 is not an intake manifold problem! its a camshaft crankshaft correlation problem!

Jeremy Anthony some are. I guess depends on which type of vehicle it is used for. On this vehicle, the part is lifetime warranty. I have not yet experienced any dorman part breakdown from what I installed.
My friend wanted to get it fixed first before he sells it. He got it sold couple days ago before he left to Philippines

That might be true, if it sat there for a year, not 30 minutes.
