Excellent for meditation and listening an instrumental soft music!! Thank you!!!!
Thank you for the help! You helped me draw much better with shadings now! (Bow action)
Very nice video. I was really searching for how to use the pencil without blending and you hit the mark. Thank you. :-)
I appreciate your instructions. Helps it all make sense to me. Thanks.
Great tutorial. I will practice the values of each pencil. This is a great excercise. I do potraits and do not use a blending tool. It takes me three times as long to do a drawing, but the effect is totally different ad more natural tha when you blend. Can you do a drawing as a demonstration.
a nice ecercise and I learned alot from ur videos
You make it seem very easy, but it's quite hard to actually do it. Thanks for this exercise. This will definitely improve my pressure control.
Ankita Padhi Same ive been seeing a problem i have with my drawing is the pressure i put when shading
No problem, hope it is helpful. It's a simple exercise but effective.
Thank you so much for explaining this shading gradient value scale, absolutely enjoyed
Glad it was helpful!
More exercises, please!
Good come back
great art vid
Great teaching
This is a very useful exercise for me. Thank you !
Glad to hear! It can be boring but it’s good to have that kind of control over your drawing and hone in your skills :) have fun!
Great idea for an exercise to do. I had to speed the video up to 1.5X to keep from wandering off though.
Haha whatever it takes :) It seems pretty similar to watching paint dry. It's more fun when you try it yourself.
Never boring. So enlightening. Is it better to use a pencil sharpener or a knife to shape the pencil lead?
Either one is fine :)
I think this was the first thing thought to me in high school art class!!!! awesome
Probably :)
I needed this i have a heavy hand so i will use this exercise to lighten my touch
Tysm💫👏🏻💕
Absolutely :)
Wonderful drawing class, thanks 😊
Thank you! Cheers!

Dr. Awe
You literally took the words right out of mouth
Best ever teacher award
Too kind :) I just do my best.
I saw you used darker pencils for the dark side, but would it be impractical to use lighter pencils (ie. HB, H, 2H, etc.) for the light side?
Not at all. That's a really great way to do it.
@@SchaeferArt Awesome! Thanks
So you used a total of 2 pencils for this? Just want to make sure.
why do u have so less views???the contents appreciable tho!
tysm for highlighting my cmt and reacting it!
No problem :) Thanks for commenting and watching. Much appreciated.

@@SchaeferArt omg tysm you reply to my every comment I feel so honoured 😊
Haha I try to reply to all my comments when I can.
forwarded, forwarded... led up to philosophical teachings. lol
had to watch it in x2 speed because it's too slow otherwise. But really nice explanation I think.
Haha I know what you mean, I just try to show reality sometimes though. People think you can draw like this in 3 minutes but it takes time :) Glad it was helpful either way!
@@SchaeferArt keep on with the reality it`s better than the fast way where we usually don`t learn anything
