Good to see the Fever play well against the WNBA's top team. A huge confidence builder for the young team. CC's triple double is icing on the cake.
Caitlin and Sabrina are friends. Sabrina gave the Iowa Hawkeyes her Nike signature shoe when she visited them. She also hosted Caitlin and her dad when they went to New York once. I happen to like Sabrina as a CC fan. Kudos to both and congrats to CC for making history!👏🙌
The Sparks beating Vegas last night, Indy beating NY today. It was a nice weekend.
Also Chicago beat Seattle yesterday.
The Liberty was throwing up rocks in the 4th quarter. The Fever battled harda nd is showing signs of much better team play. Congratulations Fever Team. Take the win as a gift.

A gift is "the act, , power, or right of giving." . This "gift" was the result of a less talented team defeating a highly favored opponent. It proved the adage that on any given night any team can win or lose regardless of how highly favored (or unfavored) it is. I'm a long time Hawkeye Caitlin Clark fan, and now a Fever Caitlin Clark fan. I concur with everthing you say...the gift thing is from my picky semantics.
I think it only shows that it was a huge game, from the context that NY really wanted the sweep.

She has done something 12 times but cannot come close to what Clark just did. There have only been 31 triples doubles in WNBA history....one a year...but there have been hundreds of double doubles. That proves how much harder they are. Stop lying just to prop up Reese. It doesn't matter that you don't want to accept it. And if she is so great...let's see her get just ONE triple double.

All this means is Sides is going to continue to coach the Fever into the ground for the time being.
Sabrina is an awesome player. As the WNBA tries to level up with all the attention they are getting now, negative comments are only that. Negative, for her and
the WNBA, not Caitlyn Clark. If any WNBA player thinks that their fans outnumber Clarks, everyone knows that is not true. Not true by a very, very wide margin.

@@Ariamallo Fair enough. This is the beginning of her career. Wait and see. Time will tell. I am doing my own wait and see with Coach Sides. A lot of people want her fired, but she has made them better and it's not that easy, so I give her the benefit of time. The fans have brought money and attention to the WNBA. Indiana had the 1st pick for a reason. They are also very young. They were going to be losses no matter what. Thanks!
Ionescu's comment makes sense if we also take into account that the Superbowl is not just a championship game, but also the most highly viewed and heavily advertised and therefore monetized game of the year. It's a worldwide event, not just another game. I don't know where the previous 4 games between the Liberty and the Fever aired (Amazon Prime, Ion, ESPN, ABC, CBS, etc.) but I'm sure if we do a little research we'd find that the previous 3 games along with this one would be the highest viewed games of 2024 for the Liberty and that the ratings would far surpass their highest viewed games last season or possibly or ever.
So, from that perspective these would be their 4 most viewed games of their season and will most likely have more viewers than any of their remaining games including any playoff of championship games. We'll have to wait and see if the WNBA playoffs and finals benefit from the Caitlin Clark's arrival in the league even without her presence in the playoffs or finals themselves. If the league plays it right, they'll find ways to incorporate Clark in the playoffs and finals even if her team fails to make it or is knocked out early.

Also Sides actually Coached the right way. Playing Hull and Samuelson as starters instead of Wallace and Wheeler. She might be figuring the coaching thing out. We'll see!
This is why the liberty won’t win a championship they have too many of their so called leaders that make excuses for any loss. Last year it was Stewart now it’s Sabrina, that’s sad for Sabrina because she hasn’t won anything

OK so Sabrina is generally well liked and I now feel she truely believed what she said as being ok. It was still a very stupid, bulletin board material comment for a young and talented team coming together and making great improvements who needs a jolt to get them fired up. Very possible they would meet in the first round of the playoffs. AND, in all fairness Fever started playing 11 games in 20 days, etc, etc. Might this be a litmus test of where these teams are at the midway point? Winning in the post season relies heavily on momentum and having key players healthy so we will see. Not hating on her, I want the league to grow as well and the PR person failed on this one once again. No reason to say that and it does not reflect the true validity of where these two teams are at right now.
