She should’ve been added to the US Olympic team. Not just for the fact that she brings in ratings, but because she is the future of the US Olympic team. In soccer, they usually add a player on the World Cup team, who isn’t quite deserving of being on a team at the moment, but because that player is young guy, they know that by the next World Cup, he will deserve a spot on the roster so they give him a spot so that he can learn and experience what it entails to play at the international level. They should’ve done the same thing for Clark. No team uses all 12 players. There’s usually one player who is the odd man out who doesn’t get playing time just look at Jayson Tatum this year. It makes more sense to let a younger player who is learning be the odd person out.
fever pace takes the legs out of good shooters too. person on person stops are so much easier when the open jumpers arent falling. there are too many cc22s out there to get bunnies for their team mates too.
the us women's team completely blew a huge opportunity to help grow the wnba and women's basketball globally but instead they dropped the ball and now the wnba is about to become an afterthought with the nfl and college football soon. the wnba is going to lament caitlyn clark and angel reese not being on the us women's team. they have the potential to do for the wnba what bird and magic did for the nba but man this was a huge wasted opportunity to draw more yiewers and new fans and grow the women's game
