PS5 & Xbox, 8 ESSENTIAL Tips for Monster Hunter Rise! ruclips.net/video/8GcSxIHQ6GI/видео.html
I played world, so I utilized these armor sets. I changed to higher crit dmg and slowly changed pieces. It helped me practice combos and collect pieces.
Only touched defender gear on my second playthrough of World. It completely removes the point of the game, so I’m generally not a fan. It should only be used by veterans.
I don't think I ever touched defender armor other than to see what it looked like. Thought it was ugly looking personally and don't recall ever useing.
idk, for someone who plays solo all the time, and only got like 1 to 2 hours for gaming, this set are a godsend for me, i dont have time to keep running the same quest over and over again to farm material, and after we rank up, that armor and weapon quickly become unusable
As a world player. I fell victim to the defender set.
I found this armor while playing 30 hours, how lucky I am to be able to enjoy this game at the beginning of the game 😄
From a newbie's perspective, tbf, I couldn't get my hands on previous games of MH and invest in it, because my play style is always fast-paced, hack and slash, not caring if I get hit. MH's core mechanics are in the complete other side of the spectrum, right positioning, evading, and crafting the right equipment for specific purposes and all other I forgot to mention, it was overwhelming for me. But with MH rises added features, specifically the wire bugs, it finally got me curious to try the game
DLC Equipments, yeah, they are overpowered, I miss a whole lot of content of the early game ,but it helped me invest in this franchise. It made me want to learn more and practice other types of weapons because now I'm invested and I'm enjoying it.
You didn't learn anything. Using overpowered gear doesn't help you. All you got is the answer but not the know how.
Funny thing is I didn't know dlc until later and just downloaded all em a few hours ago and before I had those items I was slowly moving up in HR and soon got to kill the endgame monsters and have endgame equipment. Take your time the experience is better than skipping through it.
I am the same way man. That's why dual blades called my name. It was a match made in heaven. I ended up figuring out combos and how you're really supposed to play along the way and it was even more fun.
@@jrpgnation6375 that's not entirely true. you dont learn from the early game if you use OP gear, sure, but you can still start to pick up on things as the difficulty increases and the OP armor becomes weaker.
personally i'd highly recommend against using these armor sets regardless, but i can understand where theyre coming from
It is so much fun and satisfying to actually start from zero and work your way up. Still in high rank and going hr 100 before I get Sunbreak, and the grinding and fighting are a joy to learn and experience.
No black belt on Xbox/PlayStation it seems but guild cross is there
black belt is for sun break
So, i got the game yesterday, and got the armor and wepons, killed my first inconunter ever in one hit, imidiatly took it off knowing that i was ruining the game for my self.
Geologist 3 and Botanist 3 should be default settings for the game. I hate farming stuff repeatedly.
Only reason I used 3 pieces of the Guild Cross set
I haven't beaten rise yet but it seems like guardian weapons and armor are super op. Haven't had a proper reason to use other armors. Have tons of armor spheres.
I agree. I went back to Monster Hunter World and I found a new set of armor. It's overpowered and takes away the fun of the game.
They're great if you want to get through some sets quicker or if you want to speedrun (but in speedruns, i only use the defender weapons, not the armor)
LOL i did this too, used the guild armor then got to high rank and was getting 2 shotted but as a mh vet, i quickly adapted and crafted my armor and blazed thru the hub quests solo.
I try not to use the armor because it takes away the fun, but with the weapons i differ
The weapons do help in farming some thing easier or if i want to speedrun the game or if i want though the high rank or máster rank.
I used that armor up until the very moment I could forge better stuff. I could not wait to get rid of that ugly ass armor.
This is the reason I never told my friends that redeeming the events from the cat gave you anything 🤣. They were already complaining about the game until they gave it a good shot. If they would have that gear on they wouldn't last in High Rank. Great Video hopefully it deterred a few people from the armor set.
Started 6 days ago and learned the hard way now im mr 72 and hr 170 cause i learned to play properly by doing online quests
Best idea is this Defender Gear Should only be for Veterans who Already know How to Play Monster Hunter Games Before and only just want to Prepare for Master rank Unlock or something else At Least When I Did PC Iceborne I Only use that Gear Only Case I Already Played the Game in Base World form one of my friends ect and only did it for PC Rise After Beated the Game in Base Rise on Switch without it sense I Played Switch Rise DAY 1 and I did saw other players get to Ibushi and Nawra before me but it was a Friends thing on my Birthday
Only thing I don't like is redoing the needed 50 rampage quests to get the achievement. :S
I've been telling my friend this. Let it teach you. It may be a pain now but you are learing so much.
I liked the way the guild armor looked so I use it as layered armor
You know that post literally mentions the reason I found this video, I just hit 7 star quests and I didnt get my ass handed to me (I have experience with Monster Hunter tho so I know what Rathalos does bahahaha) but I did instantly notice the armour starting to crumble and wanted to figure out if it was time to take it off and honestly I think the biggest issue is that the armour is rarity 7 and at 7 star quests the highest rarity I have is 6 so it feels like the armour should push just a bit further and it doesnt, I think the rarity should be bumped down so players dont get under the impression that the armour should replace the other armours so like it should be at rarity 4 or something to better align with its intended purpose
ppl complained about the guardian armor in iceborne so idk why capcom returned these easy mode starter armor for rise and sunbreak :/ not to mention there are 3 of them in the game. i mean i appreciated the guild cross one for the gathering skills back during release, but the black belt ones are insane esp the earplugs. i just hope they would stop doing this for the next mh and just implement cross saves so ppl dont need to justify having easy mode armors in the game anymore
But remember, easy doesn't make you good. Once that easy shit no longer works and you MUST start to min/max, then let's see what they do.
I got lucky that I came from MHW as my first game and learned the Bow play style kind of decently. But I will admit Magdamalo had my number for a while on Low Rank. Him and That Nergigante Swanton Bomb was crazy.
No one should use that, they should farm for their armor and weapons; which are superior.
Idk man. Saying that they are there to help new players is kinda a lie, their literally cheating. (It's also a tactic used by Capcom to ensure people beat the game so that they might buy sunbreak)
@@mhfuwindowbird I think it's there to help returning players and new characters of high rank people
i guess i was one of the lucky ones. i started rise before even the guild cross set came out, let alone the defender armor so i had to learn to dance with the monsters the "hard way" that taught me to dance with them in world/iceborne and ignore the defender set there.
They should made it like world denfender armor. Where it only good till your in rank 5 then kt stop being good. To aviod that problem
I tried telling my friend that is new to MH it was cheat armor but instead he just got mad at me for not using it since he said it had good stats.
Im using it tho.
But i got a little Experience from the Other Games already😂
But does someone have a Tip on Rampage Quests?
Im actually a little scared of Them cause i get Stresses quickly and get overwhelmed by it.. any Tips in that?
Honestly I agree with this and I find the other armor that helps with grinding materials the what I call gatherer armors it helps new and changing platform players a much more needed help on grinding those herbs, ammos, ores etc
I plan on using it on PC to play catch up on my Steam Deck until I can build better sets. I've been playing the series since the first game, though I started playing that one in 2006 so I know what I'm doing in a sense, and I've pretty much beat Rise and most of Sunbreak already on Switch.
If it's op why shouldn't I use it over other armor and weapons? I'm a world veteran and I don't see the benefits of using anything other. Please make a video about that
Told a friend not to use them in world(guardian/defender), they used them anyway and still got their ass kicked in early lr and dipped from the franchise.
Didn't bothered with them as they don't have the skill... HORN MAESTRO
I started on hub and thought the difficulty was perfect. Going to start doing village quest now
We definitely come up with excuses for why they exist but in reality. They exist for all the wrong reasons. They exist to boost new players. That's it. They are for the exact person that shouldn't use them. Its always been a stupid inclusion to the game and has led to many awful conversations because its existence just kind of has to be accepted. It 100% hurts the experience of the game and the most people can say it's to either not use it or ignore it. Which can be difficult. No matter how much people on reddit and other places like to gaslight and pretend it's so easy to ignore. Reddit is especially awful when it comes to this topic cause they ridicule anyone who even attempts to bring it up.
I've kind of gotten to the point when I hear arguments about it. That if the low and high rank experience is just that bad and worthless. Then it shouldn't even be in the game.
I 100% expect Wilds to create this problem again and start up this dreaded conversation.
The armor shouldn't be in the game at all.
Of course people are going to use the best gear possible, nothing else you can even craft comes close.
The game is making you worse for min-maxing early.
Me at lvl 3 hunts taking off my OP Amour shamefully lpl
These sets are great for those of us that already played on other systems, but definitely not good otherwise
I got the game last week . Xbox player and I agree. Mtzusune was my hardest challenge so far because of the habits I formed getting the head start
same as world i used it the time to grind the parts i needed to craft regular armors pieces.
I mentally tortured myself with freedom unite I'm giving myself a pass 😭
LMAO @ The REDDIT Dude. ROFL
This video made me restart Completely 😢I made mistakes from the start why!?!?!?!?
Wow, took forever to see this... to those vets that been playing rise on switch or Monster hunter in general, do what we do best, use the crap until midway or end game then make a set that really suits what you're after.
Theres no reason NOT to use the armor when you're potentially going to fly through the game anyways.
To the new guys, virtually the same applies to you, enjoy the game the gear gives a substantial amount of def more than anything you can build early off, and it comes with some clutch skills you're able to maximize.
Enjoy the game.
I forgot these existed. HR 121 on PS5.
Lol. I just hate it because it looks stupid.
Damn. I must be SO ass at the game to be dying with this armor lol. Time to make a new character and not use that
I remember when i played worlds and had a feiend help me loads and i enjoyed it but nowhere near as much as im loving rise having earned and learnt on my own. Feels like the same situation as the armour, it takes all the fun out
Yeah I started Rise a couple weeks back (tired of waiting for MH6)
It was a struggle to not use the armor.
It's annoying having a strong weapon and armor sitting there and not using it making every hunt take twice as long.
But (much like early access to layered armor to some extent) it also ruins the experience to look like a complete twat while you build your sets.
Now for my alt I'm going to abuse this armor to shorten the gap
They had the same thing going on with World. I was very cautious to not treat the armor like a crutch, knowing this exact issue would be a thing. It's best for newbies to treat it like something to farm for better gear with, imho... and definitely figure out the mechanics of the game!!!!
Only thing i ever used was the layered armor except for the helmet.
Yeah I think I get ya well capcom just want players to get the expansion fast but new player's won't enjoy the normal game if they're op from the beginning
Thank you Blunty! I realy "hate"(strong word) dlc and other things than screw the natural progression of a game.
I’m sure they’ll be fine. I’ve played nearly every single monster hunter made and I can assure you that this is by far the easiest game in the series. 400 hrs in I think I’ve only died 20x max. But then again I am a seasoned vet so that helps. And also weapon choice plays a huge role for beginners. Pro tip- Level 3 evade extender = cheat mode activated lol
your experience blinds you. I can NUDE-RUN monsters NOW that once before I needed extra high defense armour to survive long enough beat. "easy" is relative, MH needs a different aproach to action combat than many games that LOOK to have similar combat, and it takes newbies time to learn this.
@@BluntyTV Yes my experience has given me a massive jump on rise. So yes if you’ve never played a monster hunter game before than yeah it can be challenging but the learning curve imo is pretty low compared to any other game in the series. I believe this is the perfect game to start with if you’ve never played one before. Just don’t go back and play an older title in the series cause you will get smacked 😂. On another note I never used the gift armors so I really don’t know myself how op they make you in early game.
I’ve never died in any Mh game and one time I even reverse died
Pro tip: evade extender is not a pro tip, it’s pretty basic
Does this go for veteran MHW players who are just coming to Rise? I get what your saying and all just curious if we already understand the core game
This goes to OG veterans from early gens as well. I started mhdos or 2 years ago when I was a kid, Was hard. Now, playing rise and it was kinda easy but also hard to adapt to newer mechanics. Plus the armor are so OP that I didn't even bother to craft base monster armors. So yeah, don't use the armor if you want old school challenge or just, challenge.
I can understand you from my experiance as someone who started in 3 Ultimate and played every single MH that came after base Rise is after base World the second easyest MH out there, but Sunbreak on the other hand is one of the harder and in my opinion one of the hardest Monster Hunters. So if they use the defender gear in the base game Sunbreak later will absolutly destroy them.
Sunbreak the hardest?
I've only played World and Rise.
But sunbreak has been an absolute breeze with 0 walls.
Sure I'm only at research 130 atm but still
3U actually gave players a free 50 defense boost on western releases that wasn't even tied to your gear, making LR a lot easier
Thank you for this video! I'm a 999/999 in world and starting rise today. I'm just going to pretend like those sets do not exist and kick other hunter who play with.
Nice joke
Or just play solo if your going to act like that.
