Thanks Tracy never know when these videos come in handy. Great job 👍
Very helpful, thanks 🇦🇺
Thanks for this Tracy.. Much appreciated !
Thanks, this exchange is exactly what i´m doing right now!
Sweet! Hope this helps 🤞
I’d be curious to hear did you have the same issues with the previous pickup draining battery too fast?
Привет. Могу ли я разделить сигналы отдельно, магнита и микрофона через кабель?
I’ve been struggling with which one to buy… two of my favorite acoustic artists Jeffery Foucault and Peter Mulvey use Fishman Rare Earth Blend acoustic pickups but it is around $50 more then the Seymour Duncan Mag Mic
Oooof so hard! Each pickup has such a different flavour. Any chance you can try one before a big purchase? Goodluck!
I thought Maton and Cole Clark installed what is considered some of the best preamp systems in the world in their guitars. Did your guitar come without any?
They sure do. I use a split system in my set up so the acoustic preamp runs all the time and the magnetic Seymour Duncan is a separate line that runs into a volume pedal and various effects including an amp simulator so I can phase in as much ‘amp’ sound as I want. I’ll have to get around to doing a live set up video soon to tour my ‘rig’
Hi. Just got a Mag Mic and watched you installation video (even if I had to do it from scratch ;) ). Thank's a lot. You mention that the change was due to the former mic did use battery even if you wasn't plugged in. Seems like you're sure that the plug in decides battery usage or not. The thing is I can't see that subject mention neither in product info or elsewhere. Can't find ANY in on the web actually. Just wanted to check with you as it seems like you was that certain that you swipped the mic :) / My best Micke
Hey Micke, I have 4 of these pickups in total (love them!) and that was the only I had issues with so pretty definite that’s what was going on. Normally they are wired to only use the battery when the 1/4” lead is plugged in - which is how they operate in my three ‘work horse’ guitars. One day I’ll probably get it looked at it, as it can most likely be fixed I just never get around to it 😅 Does that help answer your query??
@@traceybarnettmusic Thank's for the quick response. That was my guess as taking of the strings twice a month seemed like an insane option. Just wanted some confirm as the task isn't mentioned in any documentation. BTW I succeeded yesterday with the installation (was a bit recalcitrant to drill a hole in the body of my precious Eastman E6D-TC) and I really like the sound of it. All my best / Micke
@@michaelkallman4368 nicely done! enjoy
Hi Tracy! Do you still have the spare one? Want to sell it? I’m looking for one in Sydney!
Heya. Yeah I do still have it but I want to hang onto it sorry. No luck finding any over there?
@@traceybarnettmusic they are bloody expensive haha! I’ll be putting them on my Maton and Cole Clark as well, mostly to use effects pedals!
@@thefotofoundry5996 ha ha yeah they’re not cheap but a great investment. Such a huge sound running CC’s and Maton’s that way 🙌🤘
