Hey dude, kinda a very late reply, but do you think someone can compete in the higher levels even with bottom tier characters such as Rosie or Dry Bowser? I really like them haha. I mean you guys use even Kamek so the answer should be yes?
Hello! I think anyone can compete as any character, but those few in particular definitely have a learning curve and an experience minimum in my opinion. They wouldn't be the first characters I'd recommend that you choose, but would never tell you no to! If you aren't a part of our ZG discord yet, I highly recommend you join. There’s quite a bit of risk using specials at he highest level, and odds are your opponent can block it. You might see it every so often but not as frequently as on ladder.

Standard is the norm even for the Official Nintendo tournaments, but every so often you’ll see a simples tournament.
