There are two small editing error when transitioning sceens, clips where one frame too short, sorry for that. really loving that unit, so thats the one i wanted to share first.
This is very similar to the first squad I fell in love with in the game, with gambling Ochlys up front as an evasion tank and Lhinalagos, Rosalind (with Dancer's Bracelet for extra buffs), and Melisandre in the back row. I am only halfway through the game and just cleared Elheim so it might get weak soon, but so far it's the only squad that beats everything consistently for me. Also, I like it for visual reasons because it's so damn funny having an angel up front and two elves in the back row blowing kisses at her for buffs and debuffs, haha.
Also saw now that you make Diablo builds with focus on finding unique and fun variations on stuff (maybe?), so you just gained a new subscriber from me. That has been my main focus since I started playing it (with mixed results, haha)
Can you explain your Alain unit/Josef unit?
I'm really new and thought I had a sweet unit with:
Left/Middle/Right
Front Row:
Ochlys/Alain/Empty
Back Row:
Aubin/Empty/Nina
Josef's:
Front:
Empty/Travis/Empty
Back:
Selvie/Josef/Rolf
Am I way off-base in my thinking here? Any suggestions?
For Auch's Fireball conditions, you want to swap the 2 around if your goal is targeting armored units with highest HP. Since both of those conditions are priority conditions, the 2nd condition of highest HP will override the armored unit priority. If you flip it around, then once you have your highest HP list, the game will sort by armored units after.
Love finding a good synergy build! Feel like most things I've seen are focusing on specific gimmicks or enhancing one special thing. Doesn't seem as much fun.
Love the focus here of how everyone works together to enhance! Scratching my head at potentially swapping the wizard for something - the options are vast on that front!

Liked the highest evasion gambit. I was using this with my rolf:
1. flame shot- flying
2. flame shot- most AP, prioritize scout
your version is much more elegant as i just basically want my true hit units to attack evasion tanks.
On auch, i've found that magick counter doesnt really work if your tank is hit. I think not stated there is it only works if auch is hit. Whats your experience on that?
my gambits on auch are:
1. fireball- prioritize armored, nost AP
2. fireburst- burning
3. fireburst- lowest hp
another way you can mitigate arrow dmg is to use a cleric.
get the rod that gives protection passive to reduce dmg by 50% and add in lapis pendant to reach 3 PP. setup some quick heals and heals to recover arrow chip dmg. refresh prevents the auto-hits generated by being frozened/stunned. 2nd acc can be a carnelian or the gamblers coin.
My first version had prio on scouts, flyers, elfs, etc but that not always worked. The highest/lowest evasion solution however works like a charm!
As for auch, i noticed it works on direct dmg hits. But not always? Its super weird and probably translated wrong, so i mostly only use it to test foe additional dmg before i start a fight. Its rarely worth it.
As for the cleric, i prefer to use it on a less nimble group with a warrior and sellsword, combined with a hoplite. Probably my 2nd favourite combo capable of immense dmg and featuring great sustain. Dodge tank however are tough
@@Mordarim yeah changed my setups to use that on rolf. its elegant. I prefer the minimalist approach as much as possible (1 line per skill, 1 condition).
there are other passive options for auch with certain gear. IIRC theres the guard hunter staff/acc which casts a magick attack is an enemy guards. Good prompt once enemy tank guards to nuke him early, instead of waiting till the end of battle to use fireburst. Of course can always use lapis pendant to use both.
@@Mordarim you'll need baroque swords to stand a shot against evasion tanks on that team. On a tank + sellsword team, i'd prefer chloe/soldier as a healer there so you can handle evasion tanks due to her access to unwavering spear. Then i'd round out the team with anti-armor via a mage/warrior.

yeah, thats not something i will do anymore. Piled them into early, mid and endgame 3 squads in one video videos. Just had to see what the game has to offer post demo.
