Gary - tears in my eyes (of joy!) that you still remember us humble original Deus users and it’s not all about the all singing Deus II - thank you as always 😊
Thanks for this Gary! With the release of Deus 2 I thought everyone turned in their Deus 1 at the next pawn shop. As someone who bought a Deus 1 not too long ago before the Deus 2 got announced (I felt like that machine would be nice and a future proof investment already being on the market for 10 years) after hesitating for a long time (still a lot of money involved) I was kind of sad not knowing earlier that the Deus 2 was on the horizon. Well, what can I say? I saved your Eco and Sonar programs during the first weeks after receiving my Deus 1 and they're just so nice. Sure, multi frequency would be nice but I feel like it wouldn't change too much for me so I learned to not be angry at myself for not waiting any longer and maybe buy a successor model once it became available. Really appreciate that you still make videos with the Deus 1. Keep up the great work and another big thanks for the Sonar program. That one is a game changer!
Hi don’t be angry, I have choice, and didn’t won’t deus 2 for 1400f if I can have 3 coils included and headphones plus cp case and bag , and nice spade , all for 600f , it’s still great machine! I chose deus 1
I added your sonar program and tried it out today for the first time. It rocked. I was so pleased with it. The first good target I dug was a saloon token from 1908 that is worth $150-$500. Thank you for sharing the program Gary!
Awesome video as always Gary. Thank goddess your back my friend, love your videos on the deus 2, but I’m a deus 1 man, so if there’s any chance you maybe do some more deus 1 vids, say you will. Thanks for sharing mate
While setting up the Sonar Program for use with my black X35 coil, I couldn't get the frequency to set at 17.297 kHz. So when I removed my black X35 coil and I placed my white HF elliptical coil near my RC, the 17.297 Khz came up, and I "saved" the program. There must have been something I missed or didn't catch?
Hi Gary, I have been a Deus user since day one. Used the Sonar program fast and deep on the last dig. Went home tired from digging. Great results with the HF coil. Regards Paul W

@@The-skillschool I found two colonial British coins from the 1700's and 6 buttons. I really liked the sonar program and it has earned a permanent slot on the control box.
I have a Nox 800 and I have it working really well with my own latest custom settings which are a game changer but I also still have need for my Deus 1 and I will be working on some killer settings over the next few days on that also. The HF coil is going to be useful. It is always good to cover areas with different detectors and coils. Sometimes the bigger coils pick up small objects the smaller coils miss and deeper objects. So I scan the area with multi and single frequency machines and different coils.

I also think it to be a very versatile program that can be great on pasture (especially using the deep program as a platform) and stubble. Shame it doesn’t work on the D2. Thanks Gary.
As always a great detecting video from you. I own one of the original Deus with the 9in stock coil. I know seems like I may be a but behind the times but I really don't think I am. I also have the Minelab CTX3030 and those two machines going over the same site with them both will both do a fantastic job at what ever the other one may miss. One thing I have noticed more than anything is that the Deus is killer on small targets. Amazing how may rivets there are here in the Western US. I have found so many of those and they are such a great sound.
I have nostalgia about deus 1…and maybe i buy one soon 😄 This is my first xp machine and i sell it when my deus 2 come… I enjoy to yours video.thanks,Gary.
Great video once again! Won't be selling my Deus1, still a fantastic machine! You never know, something could happen to my Deus 2 and I'll still have my Deus1 as backup. Hey,Gary.Love your videos 🍀 What's your opinion using full tones in roman sites / in trashy areas etc.Is the sonar program better than full tones? ( i often use hot with adjustments ) Where do you prefer to use full tones? Thanks and cheers , mate!
Full tones works well on a Roman site, it is especially suited when there is a lot of Iron, just like the Sonar. FT has the added advantage of giving a nice high tone on big Silver and other highly conductive targets.
I don't know why my HF coil take ages to charge, a full night at around 110ma sometimes at 80ma. My guess is the coil charging circuit is faulty because I bought new battery and same thing, very very slow charge rate.
@@The-skillschool Yes, I use the same charger as my phone, capable of 2a+, I use a usb charge tester that shows the ma and voltage of the charge, that way I can tell if it´s charging or not, could it be the charging clip? have you heard of any people having the same issue? I wish I could get a spare cable to plug into the battery and charge it externally , just need the connector reference / name, do you know If I can get it anywhere? I am sure it´s not proprietary, I would just use a simple 1s lithium charging board , I have a couple of those with USB c port. I have tried contacting XP but they forwarded my email to my local XP dealer and sure enough he couldn't provide any help.
Make sure it isn't turned on. There is an intermittent fault with Deus headphones whereby sometimes when you plug the charger in to them, they are switched on. This of course means the coil is working as well and cannot then charge fully. The problem with the headphones appears to be that they don't actually turn off properly when you press both buttons - the screen goes blank so you think they are off. If you don't charge them, the next time you go to use they are flat. Once you're aware of the issue, the best thing is to charge all the kit fully before every session and when you plug it all in to the charging gear, check the headphones to make sure they are off. I was fooled by this issue for some time, to the extent that at one point I sent my HF elliptical coil back to regions for checking because I couldn't understand why it was going flat. I know from forums this is a common bug with Deus headphones.
I have the HF round and the larger X35 coil (11"). I've found small hammered coins with both. In all honesty there isn't a lot of difference; the HF is more accurate in that it's easier to pinpoint smaller targets but you can use the X35 on its default 17KHz and it will still find cut half and cut-quarter hammies.
Great Video Gary, Love the Sonar program ! Oh by the way, where did you get that Gillett from,? looking for a quality one ! Sticking with the Deus 1 I think !
After 3 months of waiting I finally got a call that a Deus 11 was available. And guess what I turned it down, The delays with supply has given me time to think. I am not convinced there is enough difference with multi-frequency unless you do beaches. I would give anyone with a Deus 11 a run for thier money using my lite and it only set me in £400 !
I think in a nutshell, as long as the Deus 1 is comparable in price to the Deus 2 then the Deus 1 will be finished. Lower the price on the first one and it might have a fighting chance. but as far as I’m concerned if the two machines are around the same price,I’m gonna go with the new one every single time.
I have the deus2 . I want to use my 9" hf coil from my ORX in the mono program BUT IT WONT PAIR . There is no good reason why I should not be able to use the hf coil with the deus2. !
Gary why not if your running single frequency in the mono program ? I tried pairing the 9" hf coil to the deus2. Of course it didnt work . But it sure would be nice if i could.
a lot of people want simple deus wsa ears without tuning and have been waiting for them since the release of this first model. as you know, this is not possible and do not wait. this is unfair.
Hi Gary, I bought a Deus 1 last year because it is so lightweight. But the one problem I have is that if I use any notching whatsoever, all signals becomes sharply cut off making it hard to determine targets. Is this a previously unspotted V5 update glitch?? I would really like to use notching but because of this, I can’t use it. Any ideas ? Also, the D2 is not lightweight like the D1 so is not for me.
Thanks for your thoughts, if you don't like notch try using tone breaks instead. Who on god's earth told you the D2 is heavier....perhaps by a couple of grams.
Today i was us using the deus2. It was going crazy with interference. I put it on mono mode like the deus1 and using 25 k all the interference was gone . I plan on looking for a deus1 .
Just got my old Deus 1 love ut already these videos help greatly thankyou

Full tones works well on a Roman site, it is especially suited when there is a lot of Iron, just like the Sonar.
FT has the added advantage of giving a nice high tone on big Silver and other highly conductive targets.
Can you put a picture with numbers of Sonar program for us who don't understand english too much?Thanl you

I don't know why my HF coil take ages to charge, a full night at around 110ma sometimes at 80ma. My guess is the coil charging circuit is faulty because I bought new battery and same thing, very very slow charge rate.
Check your charging source, for example never use a laptop to charge coils.
That's a cracking video
Thank you 🤝
Will the sonar program work in Australia?
I have no idea Paul
I've got my new Deus 1 and sonar program works really well in Italy @@The-skillschool
What would be the best coil to find hammered coins? I have the 11 inch x35 coil, is it worth buying another one and if so which one you recommend?
I like the white round HF
I have the HF round and the larger X35 coil (11"). I've found small hammered coins with both. In all honesty there isn't a lot of difference; the HF is more accurate in that it's easier to pinpoint smaller targets but you can use the X35 on its default 17KHz and it will still find cut half and cut-quarter hammies.
Many thanks Gary, just put in my first programme ( I hope ) !!. Will stick with my Deus 1 , seems a bit like consumerism gone mad buying the 2 ?.
Thanks Roger, good luck 👍
Hello, do you know if there is a new update in for deus 1??
Nothing yet
@@The-skillschool Thanks for your reply!!!!
And what is the greatest depth for deus and deus2 if the target is large ... Thank you.
About the same length as long piece of string 😁👍
👍Fantastic information👍
Thanks for watching 🤝👍
Gary love the tutorials.
Q.
if the sonar is a relic programme... what is the hot programme 🤔
All programs will find all targets. HOT gives a multi tone target ID. Sonar is a simple 2 tone.
wow....pure hell in that first part...happy to live in Japan
Japan looks great 👍
Great Video Gary, Love the Sonar program ! Oh by the way, where did you get that Gillett from,? looking for a quality one !
Sticking with the Deus 1 I think !
Thanks TH

hola para cuando una nueva actualizacion deus 1?
👍🤝
I like the dues 1 will definitely get one if I had the cash tell you what buddy this will help so many
Thank you sir 👍😁
I haven’t been able to use my Deus for over a year. No support
Find out who your importer is, then talk to them.
Great info Thanks
You are welcome
Deus 1 lite hawe sonar program? Thenks for answer
Not quite, you need to use 2 tones as there is no tone break option.
Thanks for your thoughts Julian 👍🤝
@@The-skillschool thank you for your videos and for your honest reviews. Good luck. J
Gary, so you prefer this over the full tone on ancient sites?
Most of the time yes
Thanks for your quick reply.
Thanks for your thoughts
I have the deus2 . I want to use my 9" hf coil from my ORX in the mono program BUT IT WONT PAIR . There is no good reason why I should not be able to use the hf coil with the deus2. !
Yes there is !!!! they wont make any more money out of you they allowed that !!!!
Deus 1 coils on a Deus 2.....you are kidding right !
Gary why not if your running single frequency in the mono program ? I tried pairing the 9" hf coil to the deus2. Of course it didnt work . But it sure would be nice if i could.
Hi Gary! Do you have a favorite program for beaches and forests with lots of aluminum cans/bottle tops? Thank you!!
Not really, they all fall within coin ranges.
@@The-skillschool thank you so much for confirming it!!
🔥
Should I purchase the I or the II? Thank you.
I can't answer that Jeff
@@The-skillschool What if I said, I have the Deus I, is it worth the switch. :)
a lot of people want simple deus wsa ears without tuning and have been waiting for them since the release of this first model. as you know, this is not possible and do not wait. this is unfair.
Life is unfair
ci sarà un nuovo aggiornamento per il deus 1?
Pozdrawiam serdecznie 😀👍

hi, bit of a newbie here, but how deep would u say this sonar prog goes down? thx
ps, would u use this in an ordinary grassed field?
Yes use it where you wish
congrats
Thanks 🤝
Super!!!
Thanks Vlad
Please can you give me a brogram to search for gold in mineralized nature for this device of course xp deus I am waiting for your reply sir
Goldfield program 10, using the HF Elliptical coil would be my choice.
Why can’t you get technical support from Deus
The company name is XP, check out their web site for contact details.
Is there a factor help line. I’m not that old but can not figure this thing out. Would love to have a person to talk to
I’m told there are no factory settings
@@stevemcdonald817 There are plenty of very helpful Deus videos here on RUclips. Watch some of those to learn how to use it.
I usted this programa in muy Deus and is amazing, now i have Deus II and I Will try this programa in it.
Ok
does it also work on the deus lite ?
You can't change tone breaks on the Deus lite.
Looks like you are scanning about 50% of the ground you are walking over. Is there a reason for this?
Yes because I am a useless detectiorist.
@@The-skillschool Great come back mate 👍 👏
DON'T DO AS I DO , DO AS I SAY. !!!!! Ha , ha.
👌👌👌
👍🤝
Today i was us using the deus2. It was going crazy with interference. I put it on mono mode like the deus1 and using 25 k all the interference was gone . I plan on looking for a deus1 .
If you have EMI with the D2, first noise cancel, if no luck use mono.
May swap my nox for Deus 2 now that is multifrequency..
Hello Gary ,
DEUS 1 will be furthter developed, or is it already a closed product (software) ?
