I've used Kiss brand nails for years. Tip: clean prep your cuticles back really well then scrub and clean your nails with a toothbrush and Dawn soap to remove ALL oil. Let air dry. This will help the glue adhere. My nails last 2 weeks and I get compliments all the time

I soooooo feel you on the cost of nails and pedicures. I'm broke right now and tried doing press on nails and they did NOT stay on. I spent so much time every day having to fix the nails, I finally went back and got them done, so my hands will look good for three weeks and then I hope I can go again 🙏🏼
Also, LOVED Memoirs of a Geisha! The book was so moving, and the movie is visually stunning!
Thank you for showing the double cleansing routine! I love removing my makeup with an oil based, moisturizing cleanser. I've never used a cleansing balm, I'm very intrigued!

I'm a straw person, thanks for showing your straw! Lots of nail prep videos will show you how to prep your nails prior to putting on your press ons. Critically important for them to stay on. Search how without a drill if needed. There are small $10 drills available. I'm a nail DIY for 30 years. LOVE YOU!

I’m done with nail salons. They always over charge, rush, and 2 years ago I got a fungus on my nails and it took over a year to get rid of it. I just don’t paint my nails anymore. I keep them short and clean. If I’m going to a special occasion I just paint a clear nail polish or a translucent nail polish. They last the longest. I do my cuticles and moisturize my hands and feet.

My nails looked really nice the last three months if I did cuticle oil every day and kept them polished every few days, but I got lazy and let them go to Natural and then then I end up picking

@@maturemakeupmasterclassadd a few drops of lemon juice to any cuticle oil. Apply every morning and evening before bed…it was(still is) a game changer for my thin, brittle nails after I stopped getting those gel nails. My natural nails are growing healthy …I use nailteks product systems (CVS) and I’m happy with the results.

I'm glad talking with us all perked you up. We all so look forward to seeing your beautiful face and hearing what you have to say. Some days are just...blah. I started the first of this year being serious diligent about sunscreen. Of course I have used sunscreen but not quite so liberally and not consistently. Now I am slathering it on! I had no idea that it is difficult to breakdown sunscreen until I started paying attention. I never thought about it. I thought a simple face wash would do the trick. I have been double cleansing for several months now, mainly to remove the SPF and if I wear makeup. I don't feel cleansing is complete unless I do it, and I enjoy that slippery step😉. Now if I can convince my adult daughter to double cleanse.....

Nicole Caroline double cleanse is the best in my opinion. Put on the oil, massage, then apply milk right on top of oil, massage. Rinse. This is their recommendation on using their product. Fast, easy and products last a long time which makes it very affordable. Love it AND watching a previous video from our sweet Michelle about this product made all the difference for me.

I use and love LRP Hydrating Gentle Cleanser! It is really gentle and hydrating for my hyper sensitive skin with Rosacea. Doesn't cause any flares. I live in the Texas Hill Country. A basic, classic is $45.00, prices go up from there to I think about $65-75 for their luxury ones. I've used Kiss press on nails before with good success. I found if you wipe your clean nail with a alcohol wipe twice, just flip it over and let it dry, the glue adheres more. They stay on longer. My sister in law taught me that tip. I work with my hands a lot and I have them stay put for almost a week. I also found the KISS Powerflex Brush-On Nail Glue has more staying power than the glue in the box. You can buy that separately. The shorter nails wear longer than the longer ones. Hope that helps. I hope you feel better soon ❤.

Have been using Kiss nails for years. Now also use Olive and June, too. I don't rough my nails and I don't have bad cuticles, so I don't touch those either. The press-on nails usually come off, one here, one there, over about 2 days and as each comes off I use the nail glue purchased at Kiss to reapply them. Then, the manicure stays for a full two weeks after that. The nail glue is very inexpensive and I carry an extra little bottle of it in an empty prescription pill container (just in case of leaks) in my purse. Michelle, I love watching your channel and you've helped me so much. I should be complimenting you on your skin, which is indeed exquisite, but if I could just say you have the most lovely, soothing voice, I love unwinding watching your channel. God has certainly gifted you and you use those gifts well.

I use Color Street nail products… total game changer for me. I got tired of spending money in the salons and often not liking my manicures , plus the dips and acrylics would ruin my nails. When I apply the nail strips, my nails look great and they last for 10 to 12 days. I get compliments all the time on them. I had thought of using press on but I didn’t want to deal with nail glue, etc. The strips are 100% nail polish, and won’t ruin your nails like salon manicures, can. They are also super affordable. I loved them so much I became a stylist! Let me know if you would like any information!

You can save and re-use them if you use the double sided peel and stick nail adhesive instead of (superglue). You also need Nail Stand Magnetic Holder with Adhesive Putty to hold while polishing.

I’ve always had the same habit as you -precisely- and have had short (bad short if you know what I mean) nails and some stage of chewed cuticles. Have had gel nails a bit but They ALWAYS do them so THICK. THEN I JUST WANT TO RIP THEM OFF plus so unnatural looking.
I swear I would pay that money if I actually liked the way they looked but it’s a no. In the past six months my nails started coming in thicker and hard. No explanation why. So I’m trying to not bite or chew at my cuticles because now my nails are so hard it would be difficult to chew through them! The cuticles are challenging to stop b/c it’s so automatic. It’s been a bad week and I chewed and now they look not so great. The key is to keep them clipped back and neat but ….
Anyway Please let us know if the press ons are any good. I love how genuine and just wonderful you are.

Michelle I'll suggest going to a salon school instead. I just got another gel Mani Pedi Friday from my long-time church friend's young adult daughter who I've been seeing regularly since having my back surgery a year ago. They offered at different times a free $25 gift card when buying a $100 card and then Ashley told me that when pre-booking my 3 appts I'd get 10-20-30% off otherwise they'll have some package prices. I tip her on the full price of course.

@@maturemakeupmasterclass I have stretched my nail appts out to 3-4 weeks. Since my appts have been after work, I've mostly been frustrated by schedules getting delayed throughout the day before me (longer hair taking longer to foil or whatever), but I learned I can remove the gel polish myself while waiting this making the process quicker. Thankfully Ashley's pretty quick (& the student I'd had before was just about to graduate). Since I'd had hip surgery and was just about to get back surgery and sitting was my bad position, the instructor thankfully worked with me. Otherwise they would normally book the general public walk-ins with newbies.

I have spent ages trying to have long healthy nails. I'm 44 now. I don't know if you approve of name dropping other youtubers. But I watched one and she recommended keratin. So I got the CND keratin treatment oil and Dr. Dana glycolic nail kit. My nails are actually long and strong!! Nail companies make no bite stuff too. It's clear but when you go to bite it has a bitter taste.

I will double cleanse if I wear makeup for the day. If not then I usually do a single cleanse. 😊

    Hi ☺️
Astrology has been a hobby of mine. I'm always guessing others main astrological signs Lol
I'm guessing mercury is one of your dominant ones because you have such great communication skills but also the things with Mercury being dominant is that it can make us angsty. I'm guessing you either have Gemini or Virgo ruled by mercury prominent in your chart. I have a Virgo Moon and Mercury is second in line in my dominant planets.
Oh, I also read memoirs of a geisha, great book! Also mercury dominants love to read.

I agree. Mani/ pedis have gotten outrageous. Been doing nails at home. Dashing Diva. Nail strips and semi cure nails. Like the nail strips. Don’t ruin nails.

This was a wonderful video. I have never double cleansed; however, i'm starting now.
I have a wonderful nail person. She does a mani and pedi on me, and it costs me a hundred dollars. I give her twenty dollar tip or twenty-five if I feel rich that week. I live in new hampshire.

Better to spend good money on a good chiropodist/ podiatrist and paint nails yourself . So many good products in the drug store now.
Also spend money on a good home nail treatment rather than ruining finger nails with salon treatments.
I just haven’t got the time let alone the money they charge unless a very special occasion arising.

I'm thinking about trying the Nicole Caroline cleansing duo. I have been using the Sexapeel since last November, which I absolutely love. Would you recommend using the Sexapeel before or after the Nicole Caroline duo?

I don't know if you have mold in your area, but it can make you feel really tired and crummy. You should have a local allergy report online. Might be helpful to see what allergens are high.
