No one scrutinizes our face like our own selves. When I look at you Michelle, I look at your beautiful eyes & hair! My eyes literally do not even scan below your eyes. You look balanced, age appropriate, and simply flawless to me!!! ❤
Thank you and you are so right, we are our worst critics. I’m sure I am just hypercritical because I have to see myself on Camera six days a week but no one is putting a gun in my head. I love what I do.
You are so beautiful inside/out. Beautiful eyes and face BUT the first thing I noticed were your cheeks that look a bit full. Just my observation as they make your eyes look small.
I had the Halo done and loved the results at the age of 60, but I also have taken very good care of my skin from a young age. I stayed out of the sun, I wear sun screen everyday and have a good skin care routine. I must say that Halo is way to expensive though and I am so happy I found you to listen to this video, and yes the only way you can have your face lifted is by surgery. Thank you for this video ❤
Not sure exactly what MACS is (MAC in surgery is monitored anesthesia care) for a mini lower lift. I got the deep plane lower facelift. It's supposed to last 10-15 years. Given that you say you have no support. I wanted to share this so you can ask more questions of your surgeon and get your monies worth. And please choose a surgeon carefully!! Good luck!!
@dammar117 I’m so sorry you don’t have much of a support system. I feel you. I have medical issues and I only have my Mom, but she’s getting older. I’m so blessed to have her though. I really hope and pray your procedure goes well. 🫶🏻🤗
Thank you so much for sharing! I have been an esthetician for 23 years, and I went into it because skin care was actually supportive and nurturing the skin, and it made people FEEL their own beauty, instead of trying to adhere to a carbon copy beauty standard. I have watched my industry become a shit show of everyone becoming a "skin expert", but mostly it is expertise in exploiting people. Our skin is an intelligent organ, and it's first job is not "aesthetic", it is to protect us. It is the first line of defense in our immunity, and we are treating it like it's something that needs to be demolished on a regular basis. We don't do this to any other organs of our body. Our skin is also the nervous system turned inside out, so when we do these harsh and painful things, we freak out our nervous system, and that is a whole other topic. I also do not trust medspas. Just because a medical practitioner took an oath to "do no harm", does not mean they have integrity as a person. Recently, one of my clients, who has amazing skin, is aging healthily, let me know she had a consult at a medspa and they talked her into BBL and CO2. The doctor sold this to someone who is dealing with body dysmorphia and self-esteem issues, not skin issues. Ladies, we have so much internal work to do than giving our power away to an industry that is keeping everyone looped in fear, making you feel good temporarily, until the results wear off and you're back in fear again. They hook everyone....that is not beauty. We deserve so much better than that. I'm all for us expressing our beauty, and at the same time, the beauty industry has become toxic. Run away from lasers, be super cautious with getting on the peel wagon, it can be overdone and damage the skin over time. Basic micro needling at just .5mm done by a practitioner who is sanitary and gives impeccable after care, 4-6 treatments a month apart will give amazing results without damaging the skin barrier. Massage, lymphatic drainage, Gua Sha work when done consistently for skin health, but so many things can only be corrected with surgery. Mark my words, injectables will follow the path of the tobacco industry. People need to know they can that they are not entirely safe. There is a fast growing Facebook group about botox (neurotoxin). We need to inform ourselves and make the decisions that feel right in our gut. Thank you again for speaking out on this!
Thank you for this comment !! Important for us 'civilians' to hear perspective from someone, like you, who has experienced the industry from the inside. I appreciate your insight.
Excellent summary of what is truly happening. If something doesn’t work out as expected I do not return, interesting, when they are down clients, they text u. Cause u haven’t returned
This is the absolute best advice! I stopped all botox and injections years ago. Have refused lasers and learned the hard way about harsh peels in my 20's. What are your thoughts on using retinol 2 x a week?
Hi! I’d love to get your opinion on dysport - what do you mean by Botox same as tabacco company’s. It must be very bad ? I wondered too what your thoughts are on kybella ? I feel like taking away the fat. Which I have in my chin and jowels might cause more skin sagging. Idk?!
Thank you for your honesty, humility and the vulnerability you shared. You are as beautiful inside and out. I’m about 10 years older than you, and I can tell you that the aging process doesn’t get any easier. But being able to share online our experiences, hopes and disappointments in our quest to look and feel better is a gift to us all. I agree with you on your warning about CO2 laser treatments, Morpheus 8, RF micro-needling and fillers, especially for women over 50.
I had a lower lift face/neck lift 7 months ago. I couldn’t be happier. The lift is so natural looking and I look 10 years younger. I, too, went with a surgeon who was conservative. I’d do it all over again. I hear you about the numbness. I didn’t have much facial numbing, or I should say that resolved rather quickly for me. However, my ear lobes are still slightly numb. I should get my ears pierced again while my lobes are slightly numb 😉
@@gingerchipper Ginger, I am going to Dr. McCafferty in less than 2 weeks for neck and lower facelift. Thank you so much for sharing! I am pretty nervous about getting the surgery because I don't want to be shocked at what I'll look like afterwards.
Loved your video and I agree 100% with you about surgery. When I turned 60 I began getting fillers. My daughters were getting married and I wanted to look my best. After just two and a half years, I'd gone through $7,000. Apparently, I have a high metabolism and my body was burning through the fillers in 6 months. I finally said to the plastic surgeon that I felt that at a certain point fillers were a waste of money and that surgery was the best option. He agreed wholeheartedly which was very honest of him because he's not a cosmetic surgeon. He rebuilds faces from car wrecks, etc. I stopped the fillers and for the past 7 years I've wanted a lower facelift. I'm 70 now and really want to get the surgery, but don't have the $15k the surgeons in Nashville charge. Thank you for your honesty!
Every plastic surgeon seems to say the same. And now, it turns out that fillers are dangerous for clogging up lymphs and even causing cancer (acc to the board of plastic surgeons in the US). I think you should be careful about the doctor who says that you have a fast metabolic system that dissolves your fillers fast. Take X-rays. Lots of research says that fillers move and remain in our body for a very long time or forever.
@@SculptExpress-gv8jpxrays are for bone structure and cartilage, for soft tissue you need to have a CT or MRI, and even then it's very hard to judge, unless she has images from the before all the interventions, and the person looking into them is specifically trained. Sorry to say this, but this scenario is highly unrealistic for an average person(
I’m wondering why you’re thinking about having a facelift at 70. The idea makes me feel a little sad. I’m sure you look lovely. What would change in your life if you had a facelift?
I have been warned lately about how the mixing of the botox can be skimped on and that sometimes the whole syringe of filler is NOT used but saved and used on other patients to stretch the $$$ made.
Hi you look fabulous! I am the person who sent you photos of my facelift and co2 laser. I totally agree with you about surgery. I was spending a lot of money on fillers and Botox. Surgery is the only thing that truly works. I only wish I did when I was in my 50’s. Not in my early 60’s. My surgeon was conservative as well. The co2 laser was a harder recovery than the facelift, which included my neck. It will be 1 year in May. I still have a little redness around my eyes. I am a crazy women with the sunscreen and my skincare. I am extremely happy with the results. I too have lost about 10 lbs. It shows a tiny bit in my neck. I can’t lose any more. Thank you for all your videos, advice and honesty. And to these young women getting all these fillers/ Botox. My advice is just protect your skin. Good skincare, healthy lifestyle, and sun protection. That’s your saving grace. Aging is inevitable. Embrace it. I still look my age just better.
You are telling my story! Kind of sad to think back on three years ago, but bravo for you to speak the truth. It turned my entire world upside-down. And I turned into a hermit. Thank you. You look wonderful!
My beautiful friend❤ what an eye opener! You are one brave BEAUTIFUL inside and out, woman! I personally don’t want anything on my face but great skincare and Seint makeup!! The education you give us is worth more than any skincare provider can do! It’s so true every thing you said. Anyone with an MD can do anything! That’s scary in and of itself! I learned that MANY years ago. I went to a free consult at a medi spa and ran not walked out of there!! 😂😂 since rosacea I learned how to manage my skin through skincare. At 73 my skin looks very good and only because I used Trentinoin since it came on the market. If there is one thing I have learned it is know your skin and stay with what works for YOU!! Thank you for everything you do and the education you share with us!! Is there anything I would change if I could afford it? I don’t think so. I have had a very stressful hard life but I survived it! Did it show on my face? Absolutely! But at 73, this is my time. I appreciate the simple things in life. Love, kindness, being with those whom I love and know loves me. You are one amazing woman my friend!! I am so blessed to have you in my life!! Keep up the great work for our Look Good Close Up Club!! I love you💕😘🙋♀️
You are beautiful! I am 51 and even though I have a lot that I'm not happy with; I'm also very blessed that God has allowed me to see this many years. I hope to remain being content with who I am as I age and love myself no matter how much sags, drags, and rolls.
You look amazing. As a former surgical nurse, I don’t recommend going to Mexico for any surgery. The U.S. plastic surgery standards are far superior. You still need to do your homework. I started using NIVEA SKIN FIRMING ANTIWRINKLE NECK & CHEST CREAM. I really like it
@@mariapadilla7501 I want to emphasize adherence to standards. There is a high level of scientific rigor to establish standards in the U.S. Now speaking of surgical talent, that’s where doing homework comes into play. I know surgeons who said they were the best but the results didn’t support that claim.
I had a neck lift 2.5 years ago. I have since lost 20 lbs and my neck has held up well. I have the tiniest little bit of skin where the underside of my chin meets my neck. Hardly noticeable at all. I’m still quite satisfied. My profile picture is recent. I am 71.😊
@@rosiebuddy4763 Dr.Marcelo Antunes in Austin, TX. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and Plastic Surgery and only does face and neck. He’s great! Also, you will find that prices can vary quite a bit regionally. Austin and San Antonio are pretty moderate as those things go.😊
Halfway through and I had to say how much I appreciate you. You didn't have to, but you did. You are being vulnerable and open and that isn't easy. You are going to help so many people 🎉❤❤❤ love you beautiful
This is the first video I’ve seen of yours so i just went back in your archive to see how you looked before- WOW he did an amazing job. Thank for sharing so much information.
Absolutely love the way you interact with folks Michelle, this is what drew me to you. Your tips are far superior and honest and i appreciate them all. You look beautiful ❤❤
After being in the industry for so long, you’re 100% right. Surgery is the only thing that lifts sagging skin. If you have wrinkles in the middle where your breasts seperate & those lines go up to your chest. A peel might help but again. Every time they touch your skin or add filler. Another part of the face has to compensate so all of a sudden you fix one problem but then have another. You need surgery on both sides so things balance. Filler eventually weighs down your face & you start looking like your face is a bit rectangular & you lose those delicate features.
Thank you. I have been doing all the “things” and buying all the devices. I didn’t see much change until I found a really good aesthetician who has been doing a series of mild peels. My skin looks so much healthier. Thank you for putting this all into perspective. With all the money I have spent in the last few years I could have easily paid for a lower face lift. Not to mention all the skincare with empty promises. It is maddening. I love your honesty.
@@maturemakeupmasterclass What kind of Peels work best? I'm 57 with undereye wrinkles and foreheard wrinkles.. Are Peels better and safer than Microneedling?
I've wasted almost 10k when I could have just saved for a mini face lift, no more, what are the odds that I happen to come across your video when I was just debating on whether I should go get more sculptra and try rf micro needling vs facelift??!! I can't thank you enough for doing this video and sharing your story, so many of us have wasted so much time and money on these "packages" and things that do not ultimately work.
A well known Dermatologist ruined my face. Well! The reason is though I had personally went to the building booked with the Dermatologist, the day I went into the treatment room he showed this woman how to do it. He left the room and the woman said she was new, this was first time using the Ulthera machine. The reason I had gone to that Dermatologist because he appears in all the media, famous and Ulthera Web page indicated he was the Ulthera machine certified. I contacted and explained the situation after the treatment. Ulthera hasn't even returned. My friend said we'll Ulthera is the no 1 scammer, some doctors and Ulthera work together in this scam: win win for them. Losers are the patients.
I enjoyed our coffee chat this morning. You are always so honest and forth -right, which I appreciate. You look awesome. Thank you for representing the "look good close up" club.
When CO2 laser first became popular back in the mid to late 90s, I waited about a year or two, thought I did enough research, and then underwent full face CO2 laser by board-certified dermatologist. I was told that you "never have pigment problems - unlike acid peels which can cause pigment issues". Well guess what, I came out with diffuse hypopigmentation and face too shiny and smooth /very unnatural. My life is/was never the same. Thank you for sharing your experience and your genuine empathy and honesty. And your skin and face are beautiful !
I'm so sorry that happened to you! I regret the filler I have. We were told it goes away, well guess what? No it doesn't! It's the wild west out there in procedure land.
@@honeybadgernasty botox near my eyes was injected wrong, it was dysport technically and it damaged the muscle around my eyes and lymph. Permanent swelling and puffiness and hollows. Microneedling is ok but don’t go to cheap places, the machine matters and experience. But Botox if they do it wrong u can end up looking like a freak. My eyebrows are permanently low too
Michelle, thank you so much for doing this honest review of surgery, devices and lasers. I think you look fabulous and should be thrilled with your results. A few days ago, I ordered the Nira pro with a 20% discount. Your comments about the device alarmed me. When I receive the product next week, I will contact the company to return it and get a refund. No reason to even open the package. I am 11 years older than you and cannot take a chance with losing any more volume to the face. Thank you again!
Don’t just take my word for it, really start googling the reviews on the pro device and read for yourself if you think it’s worth it or not. Some women love it and have seen improvement.
Typically I thoroughly research something before purchasing but in this case I did not. This morning, before seeing your video, I researched Nira Pro and saw all the comments and reviews you mentioned. A few weeks ago I watched Dr. Amir Karam's video about Bad Plastic Surgery Trends and he mentioned energy devices like RF, Ultherapy and Thermage. He said there are too many nightmare stories and just don't do it. Surgery is the only answer if you want to address these issues. Exactly as you stated. Nira Pro is an energy device. Your video confirmed every thing I read and heard and for that reason I choose to return the device, because the risk is too great. THANK YOU!@@maturemakeupmasterclass
I appreciate your honestly. Especially when it comes to procedures in dermatology, not surgery related. I do want an upper bleph and I could sure use a neck lift but I doubt I’ll have it. The eyes, yes. I do what I can with skin care and devices and my red light and will leave it at that. Although Penn Smith talked about a new peel that got my attention. It’s so new not many are doing it. I’m watching to see what happens there. You look great Michelle. Always appreciate your input.
So informative 👍 I have a friend who is a dermatology nurse and gets laser treatments all the time. I think my untouched skin is in better shape than her laser skin. I’m very concerned those lasers destroy fat volume and make skin saggy. These spas are PREDATORY in nature and I’m worried all these younger women are targets of aggressive marketing ploys. Targeting women with procedures like these ensures you keep them coming back for more treatments and tons of money…which is very sad.
Early last year I almost went for RF Microneedling and something told me to really do a deep dive first. I saw way too many comments from women that had fat loss and I didn’t want to risk it. Thanks for this, Michelle. I’m with you. I’m sorry you had that happen with Genesis. We really have to stay grounded and cautious with this industry.
I had microneedling done in a dermatologist office a few months ago for a horizontal wrinkle right above my nose between my eyes. It did NOTHING at all. So disappointing!
I had CO2 under my eyes and around my mouth. I still have red 3months later. I was told I would be healed in 10 days!! I also have hyperpigmentation on one side of my mouth. Thanks for bringing this to light and for the Facebook support group in
I recently signed up for your masterclass, and I absolutely love you and all of your content. You are so open and honest. I'm 52 years old, and I've learned so much from you. I didn't even realize skin care was so important. Over the years, I've washed and moisturized, but not daily. I have terribly hooded eyes and am contemplating surgery to remove all of that skin. Thank you for sharing.
My sister had her hooded eye lids lifted, very satisfied. This is just a heads up. I don’t agree with what my sister did, but here goes. The doctor will give you an eye test, you are to push a button when you can see these little like stars. My sister acted like she couldn’t see the stars until they got closer to where she should see them. That way her insurance paid for it. Her friend took the test honestly, insurance wouldn’t pay. Make sure you have a great doctor. Look into the doctor on line comments, etc. Good luck.
I really appreciate this video. I’ve never done any procedures on my face as I’ve been saving for a face lift. My eyes will be first. I have many friends that have had procedures done and spent lots of money and need to keep going back. Too much money and too much maintenance for me. I’d rather wait for my surgery. Always love your honesty 💕
I did exactly that and it was the right decision. I initially got fillers but I quickly learned I didn't have the patience for upkeep. Instead, I saved that money for a deep plane FL. No regrets and good luck!
I am 50 and I decided a while ago on this strategy too. I might check out of the surgery too, but I’m not doing anything else besides home care. Laser been around for long time, they still do them. Yet, even cosmetologist report facial fat loss from it. And facial fat in the right places is what keeps us look young.
I appreciate your honesty and review of your plastic surgery and other treatments. My dermatologist sent me to a doctor who specializes in medical asthetics for rosacea and sun damage. I had 3 treatments in one year and the cost was $1260.00 for all 3 treatments. They were spaced 4 months apart. I had no adverse effects. I have a far more even skin tone, less redness and less noticeable pigmentation. I'm 67 and my skin looks lighter and glowy. I use good skincare products, a Qure mask and sunsceen daily. I am very pleased with the results of the BBL treatment. From what I've read the problems can came when the light is used too aggressively. I'm sorry for the people who have had damage to their skin. Thank you for recommending Platinum Skin Care. What a wealth of information on that website. My husband and I did our first Lactic acid peel yesterday. It was very simple to do. I continue to learn so much from you ❤.
Michelle recommended ROC wrinkle filler instead of my dermatologist trying to sell me thousands of dollars, she said Run and I did. 3 weeks of ROC wrinkle filler and I’m seeing results. Not drastic, but more than subtle . Michelle cares about her community. She has never steered me wrong. When I put on my skincare each morning I think of her and smile. She got me to wear SPF, which I never used. We are the look good close community, and Michelle is looking out for us!

Omgoodness… You are going to help many of us with this naked review! Like many of us I consider how far I’m willing to go as far as invasive procedures in the name of ‘chasing my youth.’ Currently I am spending my money on what I put in my body- stellar food choices, protecting the skin I have now & weight training. I am 56yo so time will tell what else I do. I almost cried when you described some of the things you have endured. You are beautiful… sending you much love & respect. ❤
Thank you Michelle! We need more women like you that are HONEST about all these procedures. They are now also "discovering" (disclosing) all the dangers of fillers!! The beauty industry indeed preys on the insecurities of women (and men). ... This goes for medical procedures, as well as cosmetic products! I know it won't be long before they disclose the possible long term effects of botulinum. Just wait until you really go down the rabbit hole about the 'education' these doctors receive. ... We are talking about a trillion dollar industry. They don't care about the consumer - only about the bottom line. I have decided to try some of the peels - but even there we have to be very careful. Some of them affect hormones, organs, etc. We have to be DILIGENT about everything we put in and on our skin - our largest organ. Thank you!! Blessings
I so appreciate your wisdom! Most of these injectables and procedures are new and we don’t have decades of results. Botox has only been around 25 ish years
Bonjour Michelle, I really appreciate your honesty, authenticity and integrity. It's true that I feel like I'm listening to a close friend when I watch your videos and you're one of the few youtubers I trust ❤
I'm so glad you are putting this out there about lasers. I've done many over the years. They've either done nothing, done a temporary lift for a month, or actually caused sagging. It took me years to figure this out! The last laser I did was around my eyes and the name of the laser was something with fx on the end. It was supposed to help my crow's feet. I paid 3k for something that did nothing. Then they tell you that you need multiple treatments 3-5 and then to repeat at least a couple of times every year after that. How is that better, easier or cheaper than surgery? It's not.
Thank you for doing this, Michelle. I had the BBL at 59, and it was painful. It's like having a fire on your face for days. I had my face and neck done for $2500. My face looked better for about 6-8 months, but the fine lines and age spots returned. I'm with you. I'm going to do peels from now on. I'm 62 years old now and have contemplated doing surgery.
I’m in the my 50s and the best Treatments I’ve ever had on my face was a face peel. and I’ve had them three years apart best money I’ve ever spent. 🙏❤️
First video of yours I've seen, and just wanted to say thank you so much for your authenticity, transparency, kindness and caring! Very refreshing and much needed. You are beautiful inside and out!
I have had horrible skin my whole life. No money to do much but later in 50’s started getting lasers. The first round was good but then couple years later micro needling, and other. The last round of lasers did nothing for my skin and now feel like under eye skin is too wrinkled because of these lasers. Wish I had known more of this info. Thank you!!
Oh, Michelle….This video is just what I needed to hear. I went to the Medi- Spa I use for Botox in Greenville, S.C this past Wednesday for a consult. This is what they suggested. 1. The Lift and Restore (enhance eyes while restoring lost volume near the cheeks , temples and mid to lower face $4,600. 2. Ultherapy (skin tightening laser) $2,400. 3. Pixel8-RF Microneedling 3pkg $1,800. If needed.. 4. FRAXEL DUAL Advanced $1,150. Bless you for putting this info out on this day! You spoke directly to my heart and mind❤️ Leslie by the way, I ordered the Innbeauty eye cream and face cream you spoke about and love it!
That is such good lifting firming skincare! Awesome🎉 and yes, when you total all of those procedures, you could simply just have a lower facelift for the same cost
I do not know how I got here, but I absolutely love the way you interact with us. You are gorgeous - thanks for sharing all your experiences. I watched the whole video (all because of the way you talk), and by the end, I felt like I really knew you. It was as if we were sitting in a café, talking to each other - just like you said at the beginning. As a public speaking and online presentation coach, I have to congratulate you. This is exactly how it should be.
Fractional C-02 Laser was the best thing that ever happened to me. I think I’m going to do another session before my lift. I loved the results and it lasted me 5 years. I use to work for plastic surgeons and thought laser was the best for me. I loved it.

@annieg.7051 I've not found a surgeon I want to use yet. I'm still in research phase (for 3 yrs now! 😅). Which is why I wanted to know from this channel who in the States is still charging 9-10,000. The benefit going to Canada is saving money. Our dollar is worth considerably more than the Canadian dollar. I know this because I was engaged to a Canadian for 5 yrs. Unfortunately neither of us was willing to move...we're not together anymore.
@@Lucy-mf5gk wow..how can that happen if the laser is reaching the dermis level? The whole top layers of your skin is raw and red and basically burned off. I was in a mummy face gear for two weeks. I didn’t get orange peel skin but beautiful glowing skin. I hope your skin is better.
Thank you for the video. I have been an esthetician for over 20 years. As an esthetician I have tried to warn women regarding all these lasers and I have talked about how heat can melt the adipose tissue in our face , unfortunately I see a most become somewhat defensive and think I’m exaggerating or ignorant because I’m warning them about doctor and medical spa recommendations.
I’m sitting at my bathroom mirror using a Maybelline Express Brow pencil for the first time and thinking that I need to switch from the expensive pencils I normally use to this more affordable product because the results are amazing. I pause to choose a video to watch and here you are talking about the same product. Crazy.
Thank you so much for this information and honesty - I’m 56 and all of sudden my face and neck is falling like crazy- no wrinkles - just laxity- I not in HRT but going to doctor next week to ask for HRT
Hi Michelle, I loved your video on your one year review. It was honest and educational. Thank you for being so open with your audience. That honesty helps those who may be considering a facelift or laser treatments. You look fantastic! Your skin is gorgeous and glowing. You are very youthful regardless of what treatments you've had. Keep that upbeat and positive way because that is probably one of the biggest contributors to your beauty!
Your honesty is so appreciated. I do have damage from doing one series of Morpheus8. In one year, my face collapsed into wrinkles and my jowels are much more actuated now. And my weight remained the same! My skin did look beautiful for a short time after, but it quickly went downhill. Between that and Botox and collagen, I spent probably $10k in 18 months. And look much older, but that's because of the Morpheus8. Makes me incredibly sad what I've done to myself. The best thing for my hyperpigmentation has been topical daily use products. Morpheus8 made it worse and that was the ONLY reason I was doing it! I was aging well until I did that.
Awesome video Michelle! Thank you for speaking so openly. I used to work at a med spa and had so many things done that you talked about. I'm 55 and I do believe that some of those heat treatments caused damage to my face. 😢 not one time did the providers there mention that this was a possibility. Nor was I educated enough to tell the patients. I had a mini facelift 10 years ago and loved the results and will be getting a deep plane my early 60s. Thank you for revealing your doctors name. He's much more affordable than the ones here in Los Angeles. And lastly, I have been feeling lately that the Omnilux that I received for Christmas has been making my jowls more lax. I didn't think that was a possibility but now I'm second-guessing after I saw another comment about this. Ugh!!! Keep up the great work I really enjoy your page. 😊
You are so beautiful inside and out! The difference between your 12 week update and your year update is amazing! I have to say I was a little surprised at the cheek issue but obviously you were still very swollen! You look absolutely beautiful. I'm 71 and could use all the things! But even if I had the finances, I would not have surgery. I truly believe aging is totally normal and what we do if we live long enough. That's what is comfortable and right for me. I do not put myself down when I look in the mirror. I thank God for another day with pretty good health. I do not put anyone down if for them surgery is the answer. My prayer, like yours, is that women could start supporting each other and telling the truth of their experiences to help others make an informed decision just like you have chosen to do! I love your videos. God loves you and so do I. Janet from Florida

Really appreciate your honesty and transparency. I will be 67 this month and I had a lower facelift in 2018. I was so pleased with it except for, as yourself, a small part of the inside of my neck had a small wrinkled area that was not fixed. However my surgery was with just local anesthesia yes and it cost only about $6,000
Thank you for using your platform to speak out. About 3 years i did thread lift for face, neck and and laser total of 3 visits, roughly 5k which was a lot for me, and i was suppose to go back for more rip off 😅 I decided to wait until until I get facelift.
New subscriber here just want to tell you how much good information you have put out on here thank you so much i am 69 and don't have any procedures done anywhere on my body apart from a hair colour, i will be 70 next year and think i will try the frownies face patches on my jowls my forhead is tight ( my daughter says she is jealous lol) but jowls bad..thanks again enjoyed our little chat in the cafe with tea/snacks i pretended we did that like you said..bye for now take care Elaine from U.K.
Thank you for your transparency and vulnerability, Michelle. Your experience helps many who are looking for options to help them look and feel their best. I love that you respect choice and that you share your own experiences - you have taken many for the team. 😉 You look great and I'm glad I found you and this community ❤️
Thank you for your information, candour, humility, humour, and honesty. So refreshing! We are the same age. I loved what you said about us supporting, instead of judging, each other. And you are a beautiful looking woman. I just subscribed. Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you for this great honest video. I had twilight sedation by IV and it was a good experience. I felt no pain and had no recollection of the surgery. I would definitely go that route again.
Thank you so much Michelle!!! You are a gift from GOD. Truly. Keep doing what you’re doing. Really appreciate your honesty and willingness to help us. 🙌🏻🙏🏻❤️
I appreciate your vulnerability and integrity! First, let me extend my sympathy for the result on your neck that you are disappointed with. I agree with your friend, though, and looks beautiful!!❤ I just watched a great video - Dr Amir Karam, a plastic surgeon. He was TRUTHFUL and said don’t piecemeal your treatments. After years of some procedures that don’t work, he said after 50, I recommend facelift surgery. Nothing else like fillers or botox will give you the results you want. You are right!!
Such a great video. Thank you for sharing your experience, excellent information, warnings, and advice. I’m not considering surgery but was going to schedule a consult with a reputable dermatology group for other in office procedures. I’m so happy I saw this first! Will definitely be careful. You look amazing, and I’m glad you’re happy.
Michelle! I so appreciate your honesty. Just subscribed.❤ I’m 49 and all I can afford to do is an at home peel from The Ordinary. I’ve always felt bad about this…like I’m not doing enough. Thank you for your transparency and deep explanation of all this. You look incredible and I’m so grateful for your warning. I think I’ll stick to a surgery when it’s the right time. I hope to have the funds by then…Mexico sounds horrifying.🤯🙏🏻
Michelle I think you look lovely and your skin looks spectacular! What an informative and real video!! Thank you for talking about things that I do not hear talked about much and sharing your perspective/experiences too. Your makeup tips alone have helped me to do my best and just go with it! Thank you! And don't you think what is inside our hearts eventually radiates outward? I am working on my heart! 🙏😊
Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much for doing this video Michelle. In NYC these doctors promote laser treatments and I was always skeptical because as time passed I would see these women looked older. Geez, I didn't realize why! Bless you for this information 🙏 much love and blessings 🤍
Thank you for your sincerity =) I had fat injections and my cheeks look way bigger. I had laser done for scars but I now have to worry about melasma. I don't ever want to do lasers.
😊 You are a beautiful gal and I cannot believe your age! I thought you were my age, I recently turned 46. Thank you for sharing your story, your experience, and your feelings about the surgery. ❤ My grandmother's side of the family have amazingly good skin, even in her 70s, besides sun spots her skin looks smooth, I'm baffled. 😊
I love this. I just came across this video and agree with everything 100%. I’ve only had BBL twice and Halo once, but I feel that it caused extreme volume loss. You look great and I can’t wait to watch your other videos. Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I just received my TCA peel from Platinum skin care .... I'm stocking up on the essentials and will be doing my first peel tomorrow...I look forward to it...and I agree with the correspondence and all the videos Platinum does a great job educating! ❤
I appreciate your honesty and thoroughness. I hate my eyes, both the bags and upper sagging but will have to do my research. I would love to do a peel but don’t have 10 day down time
I love your honesty, sincerity, and desire to help others. You’re beautiful inside and out. I found your video very helpful and informative. I plan on getting a facelift soon using all the money I saved from foregoing Botox and fillers for the last 10 years. I will be having it under general anesthesia because the wonderful surgeon I found only does them under general.
I am so glad you are calling out all these 'anti-ageing' machines and processes. I had laser and RF done to address some frecking and lower face sagging, and I ended up with full patches of hyperpigmentation on my cheeks! When I told my provider and tried to find information on hyperpigmentation being a side effect, it was tough to find any supportive information. Like you, it was anecdotal evidence from brave souls like you, willing to talk about it and share their experiences. So, warning to ALL women with Mediterranean and dark skin, RF and lasers are not what they are cracked up to be; the hyperpigmentation can come back...with a vengeance!
Great video. I remember when you got it done. You were so honest. You lower face looks really good now. The nira doesn't seem like a good idea. I had 3 radiofrequency and micro needling. Honestly I see no difference. I agree microneedling at home is good. ❤
Hi! I am 42 and just watched this episode out of curiosity because it popped up on my feed. I thought you were my peer until you said you were 56. I was shocked!! You look fantastic, so don’t even give a second thought to the tiny details you don’t like about your appearance because they aren’t noticeable to the outside eye! This was an interesting, informative video, and I appreciate honesty like this because I want to age well without doing anything dangerous. I’ll never do lasers now, thanks to you!!
Yaaassss I agree with you that the only thing that lifts sagged skin is through surgery. I always thought that is NO WAY anything else would do that when I was offered different procedure packages. They never fool me with their speech because it's just common sense, something extra or loose, it needs to be cut, period. You are beautiful and you are helping a lot of people with your honest experience.
Hi Michelle, I absolutely love your videos. You are such a nice person, so honest, so natural, beautiful inside and out. Wishing you a blessed Sunday and sending much love ❤️
One big thing sweetie is the subject of scarring is one’s own skin healing capabilities also helps determine scarring versus non-scarring. Some of us scar with a small nail scratch while other’s can have numerous surgeries with little to no scarring at all! This is from someone with tons of surgeries!
I soooo agree! I had 6 pixel-8 sessions (similar to morpheus-8) and have had massive laxity and dramatically worsened nasolabial folds and marionette lines. PLEASE do not do these. I was doing this for acne scars! Not sagging! I got NO improvement from acne scars and I look ten years older. I went to a board-certified dermatologist in a well-known dermatology and laser center in Brentwood, TN. I did get some results from Fraxel for the scarrning. I have heard mixed reviews on Fraxel though....but not nearly as much as with pixel-8, morpheus-8, or Ultherapy/thermage. I won't do Ultherapy either--I had ultherapy on my eyes and have hollowing now and worsened dark circle. Highly reccommend Dr. Biesman in Nashville for honest opinions.
Love your video. As a nurse and as a woman that had few surgeries herself I agree with you, small imperfections are not worth to risk of another surgery. Sometimes “Perfect” is the enemy of “good enough”.❤
Love that you are happy with yr results. With that being said, I can not afford surgery. I’m 56 also, what skin care will be best for a mature women’s skin. Will you please do another video of just skin care from the same line not a mixture of a bunch of different products. Thanks 😊
Great video thanks you you look very beautiful and your information was fantastic I did have the top s of my eyes done about 3 years ago but I am beginning to see them fall again but I am 65 years old and dew to lots of heath problems I have had 2 knee replacement s I have a problem with my spine which is very painful so I have to take lots of pain killer s most of the time I also had two discs replaced in my neck which was done through my throat so you can understand I really don't want any more surgery now I have used fillers in the past and botox but as your great advice said they leave lumps on your face I am now since over a year ago I have had nothing to my face I am thinking I my have threads put into my face what do you think? And also I have brought over ten new foundation s and they all look wrong not right shades I have very dry skin so I don't want a mat finish I have always looked after my face I have fair skin which is very thin but after all I have bin through I guess it will show on my face please 🙏 can you suggest me a nice natural foundation I can get I respect your judgement nothing that expensive maybe even something from Maybelline I do already have some of there products which are good but I really can't just go on any more blind buys anymore thank you again and enjoy your your beautiful great looks waiting to hear from you God bless you xxxx❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
I appreciate you sharing your experience and results. It’s clear that you’ve put a lot of thought into your enhancements. In my experience as a professional model photographer for over 20 years, I've observed that smaller, gradual procedures often result in a more subtle transformation. Your look is certainly enhanced and can appear quite glamorous depending on the occasion and styling choices. Personally, I've undergone significant surgery myself, including upper and lower reconstructive bone surgery for facial harmony. The changes were noticeable to me but subtle to others, who often just remarked that I looked well 😂 Ultimately, each person's journey with cosmetic enhancements is deeply personal, and it's important to pursue what feels right for you. Thank you for sharing your story.
Great video you look great. Please share the name of your doctor. Thanks so much.
You are so beautiful inside/out. Beautiful eyes and face BUT the first thing I noticed were your cheeks that look a bit full. Just my observation as they make your eyes look small.
She had surgery. Looks good though.
As a licensed professional I am thrilled with your honesty and your results.
So refreshing to see someone being so honest about their procedures and giving honest advice, very rare ❤
Thank you for this video. I am going for a MACS lift (lower mini), but I have zero support from anybody. So, people like you are my support system!🤗
I’m sorry to hear you have no support. You don’t need that❤
Thank you so much for sharing this information ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹
New here. You are freaking gorgeous.
I like that you are not selling anything rather giving your experiences and advice for nothing but knowledge for the next person.
she is lol read between the lines
@@Elena-rt9yu Yup. They need people’s results to start slipping or have a new thing to fix.
Idk?!
As a former esthetician you are so CORRECT on all these skin treatments and what they actually do. Fantastic video.
Thanks for adding that, Chrissy ❤
That's why I left the industry having trained for 2 years
Apparently the only thing that has significant results is a phenol pill ?
Would you be able to share your surgeon?
Yes please share the name....

I’m 68 and had an upper and lower bleph a year ago. I am planning a lower facelift later this year.
Thank you. You look wonderful!
tell us what happened, dear
Sending hugs!!
Good for you and how blessed you truly are❤
Thanks for the information!!You look really natural!!
I really like it
I disagree, there areP S just as qualified if not more than US PS's. I had mine done in US w/double board certified PS who did a hideous job.
@@mariapadilla7501 I want to emphasize adherence to standards. There is a high level of scientific rigor to establish standards in the U.S. Now speaking of surgical talent, that’s where doing homework comes into play. I know surgeons who said they were the best but the results didn’t support that claim.
Awesome! Thanks for pitching in with great products that work on mature skin!!! ❤
South Korea has the best surgeons in the world and priced reasonably
I had Amado g results in Cancun Mexico. Ask me.
I had a neck lift 2.5 years ago. I have since lost 20 lbs and my neck has held up well. I have the tiniest little bit of skin where the underside of my chin meets my neck. Hardly noticeable at all. I’m still quite satisfied. My profile picture is recent. I am 71.😊

Hi beautiful 😍. How much to pay in cash if you don’t mind sharing this as well please? Thank you so much for your video ❤.
And this is why I talk openly, to save many women time and money! Peels are amazing! They work!!!🎉
@@maturemakeupmasterclass What kind of Peels work best? I'm 57 with undereye wrinkles and foreheard wrinkles.. Are Peels better and safer than Microneedling?
Who and where is your aesthetician? Thanks
You are so welcome! And thanks for being a LGCU member!!!
Microneedling and botox messed up my skin and face permanently
@@setme4ree How? Can you please share?
@@honeybadgernasty botox near my eyes was injected wrong, it was dysport technically and it damaged the muscle around my eyes and lymph. Permanent swelling and puffiness and hollows. Microneedling is ok but don’t go to cheap places, the machine matters and experience. But Botox if they do it wrong u can end up looking like a freak. My eyebrows are permanently low too
Hyperpigmentation is fairly easily treated and Botox/Dysport is gone in about 4 months
I tried an at-home RF and it ruined my lower face, the only place where I was using it. That did it for me as far as energy devices are concerned.
I ADMIRE & RESPECT you. Your honesty is rare nowadays especially in the aging & beauty field. THANK YOU, I did learn a lot.
But I'm thinking it can't be helpful when you are 80. Ageing is a part of the circle of life
Early last year I almost went for RF Microneedling and something told me to really do a deep dive first. I saw way too many comments from women that had fat loss and I didn’t want to risk it. Thanks for this, Michelle. I’m with you. I’m sorry you had that happen with Genesis. We really have to stay grounded and cautious with this industry.
Amen🙌🏼 and I’m so happy you didn’t go! ❤
I had microneedling done in a dermatologist office a few months ago for a horizontal wrinkle right above my nose between my eyes. It did NOTHING at all. So disappointing!
@@conspiracybeliever1749 if you’ve only had 1 treatment generally you need 3treatments 4-6 weeks apart then a maintenance of 1-2 treatments per year.
Why is that not good 😮 microneedling
@@conspiracybeliever1749 it takes more then 1 treatment to see any results. A series of 3 spaced 4-6 weeks apart are usually recommended.
Morpheus 8 - bought 3. Went twice, saw ZERO results. Refused to go in for 3rd one. LOVE your vibe in this video. Want to see more like this!!
Yes heard there was no result with Morpheus 8.
I had CO2 under my eyes and around my mouth. I still have red 3months later. I was told I would be healed in 10 days!! I also have hyperpigmentation on one side of my mouth. Thanks for bringing this to light and for the Facebook support group in
They’re taking advantage of vulnerable people. All these celebrities are also part of the problem. But if you notice, most don’t look that great…
Your expectation to not be red only 3 months post-CO2 is unrealistic 👎
Thankfully you can treat hoper pigmentation ❤
Good luck.
@susanmulvey6311 Thank you kindly for this information.
Smart Cookie. I’ve spent many $$$$$ on fillers! Sometimes I can’t tell I had anything done, sometimes it’s super subtle not really worth it
I did exactly that and it was the right decision.
@@inquisitive9248 Please define " home care."
I absolutely appreciate your level of transparency and honesty. Invaluable! Thank you!
Thank you SO much for sharing your positive results! I know a gal who had laser for her rosacea and her B&A is gorgeous! ❤
So glad to hear it!
Which ROC product exactly? When I Google it, a couple different products with the word filler show up
Is that a cream you use or an actual filler ?
@@lynnmcl3165 it’s in a tube. ROC wrinkle filler. It has retinol. Using it under eyes, elevens, crows feet. Results after two weeks, more at one month. Great suggestion as usual from my skin Guru, Michelle!
@@amyjacolenne6863 I’m not sure if I replied. Just returned home from baby sitting my three grandgirls, 6, 4 and 1. And a puppy. 4 yr old came down with strep. Any advice for spots on face and hands 🤔
Yes to FROWNIES!!!!! Helen is my real life friend ❤and she is a real person with real skin 🌸🥰

You are a breath of fresh air. I love your candor, transparency and vulnerability. Thank you for being real!
Thank you Michelle. I so appreciate you in so many ways. Just binge watched you for my few hours I had some alone time. It was so worth it. Big hug!
Botox has only been around 25 ish years
Thank you for being BRUTUALLY HONEST, to the point and being your authentic self!! Great video
Bonjour Michelle,
I really appreciate your honesty, authenticity and integrity. It's true that I feel like I'm listening to a close friend when I watch your videos and you're one of the few youtubers I trust ❤
Merci❤ I appreciate that! I always want us to feel like we are in a one-on-one conversation
I’m glad my info helped you and yes to peels!!!❤
Facelift does not make your skin better. It only lifts
Thank you!!
Beth, it’s never too late for peels! Peels are affordable and you can do them for life! ❤
Your honesty and your suggestions mean the world to me! Thank you very much! ❤
You spoke directly to my heart and mind❤️
Leslie
by the way, I ordered the Innbeauty eye cream and face cream you spoke about and love it!

Fraxel left pinhole like orange peel skin. Be careful

Thank you so much for being you always honest and respectful. I’m very happy I found you on RUclips and I look forward to seeing all your videos.

It will help in some ways and at least help mentally

Some women also put oestrogen cream. Botox for the DAOs.
Thanks Maureen, I love your encouraging words ❤
I needed to hear this. I turned 60 in December. I love watching the videos but you find yourself comparing yourself to them. I loved your video on “stop comparing yourself to the people in the videos”. 💜 I simply adore you 💜

Threadlift was a total fail for me. Lasted maybe 3 months and barely made a difference! A total waste of money!
That money could have gone towards a facelift

You're so welcome!
I recieve that! Thank you and you have a beautiful Sunday as well
One big thing sweetie is the subject of scarring is one’s own skin healing capabilities also helps determine scarring versus non-scarring.
Wow!!! THIS🙌🏼 this right here is why I’m so angry! Thousands of dollars for a “skilled” and respected doctor and this is the result. It’s so scary 😮
Thanks 😊

The changes were noticeable to me but subtle to others, who often just remarked that I looked well 😂
Ultimately, each person's journey with cosmetic enhancements is deeply personal, and it's important to pursue what feels right for you. Thank you for sharing your story.
