    The Street triple is the best road bike I have ever ridden. I own a 2015 675Rx and the newer I rode was the 2021 765RS. All are brilliant. I'm avoiding trying the 2023 RS because it can turn to be expensive 😂

    Lovely bike - would have one in a heartbeat, having owned the 18 and 19 models before. It's a shame to see they've gone a bit cheap on the RS' exhaust though - the 19 one had a nice carbon fibre tip with a Trumpet badge. And yes, the dash is pants - at least with the 18 you could have an old style rev counter (or 3) on it

    Hello from the States. Just traded my ‘17 Thruxton R for a ‘24 Street Triple RS in Cosmic Yellow. They had literally just uncrated it and I swooped in and grabbed it. It’s so new, I’ve barely put any miles on it since it’s only been a couple days. Agree on the lack of legible tach, but everything else on that machine is sublime. What a handling platform. Goodness! I picked up my cosmic yellow one at the end of April and loving it, done 900 miles so far. I agree on the display, however you can have a tachometer displayed which gives a clearer indication of revs. What I think is worse is the small font on some of the other things like time and fuel range which is difficult to read if like me you wear reading glasses.

    Sharply focussed review as ever. I may have missed some stats but it be handy to know the seat ht with the extra 20mm (cheery fact - inside leg gets shorter as you get older) One point no-one mentions - suspensions are generally described as ‘adjustable’ or not. But what is the RANGE of adjustment like? I’m sure Triumph’s is great but some have a fairly ‘token’ effect on ride ht, bump-absorption etc Thanks for the vid quality👍

    I have had a Street triple 765 RS for the last 3 years. I test rode all the new street triples (2023) and was left a little flat by them. It was just more of the same, yes the RS was much taller and a tad sharper, but still the same sound and feel. I then test rode a KTM 890 Duke GP and fell in love with it. It is sharper, Louder, more focused with no compromises. I have now bought the KTM. With regards to power, the Suzuki GSXR 750 produced near 150 bhp (actually 148) with a smaller engine than the 765 !!

Only complaint is the dash is pants in all 4 screens. If only it had the same dash as my streetfighter V4 it really would be perfect. Triumph listen to customers so hopefully they will stop trying to reinvent the wheel dash wise with each new model & just make something simple with a round tacho & the important info on one screen

    I think the 765 RS would be the perfect bike if it had a full fairing for wind protection. and I might still buy one the way it is, but what good is all the power if you can't use it without being hammered by the wind. there are big open stretches of highway in some places where it would be great to just cruise at 110. and occasionally go up to higher speeds. but who would want to do that on a naked. these bikes are great for winding roads like in this video. but in a straight line for anything over five or ten minutes, I don't think so. have you seen that beautiful full fairing that someone made for the XSR 900 ? I wish he would make one for the Street Triple RS. I look forward to your comparison with the 890.

      This is something that has been in my mind alot too, have a xj 600n and love the sport-ish feeling position but on longer rides the wind really does give a beating.
      Went for a test ride on a Norden 901 and rode my fathers s1000xr and the wind protection felt amazing, but I end up also missing the sporty naked riding position on the twistys so a fairing on a naked would be awesome

    You really ought to chuck in an MT-09 for that comparison test. All great bikes with slightly different focus trying to be top dog naked middleweights. How we have 900cc middleweights I don't really know. I guess the big boys have moved up with 1200/1300cc engines.

    • @xpantz
      @xpantz Год назад

      The Streetie will have to go to 865 or 965 if it has to keep being compared with 900cc machines as a middle weight.

    • @paulhope3401
      @paulhope3401 Год назад

      @@xpantz I see both bikes as direct compeitors. Despite it lacking the MT09's larger displacement, the ST RS's performance is arguably better for it to be a moot point.
      The MT09 SP is not so far off in terms of price point for some those of us on a budget. The Duke 890R is another that should be included in what would be a very tasty middleweight naked group test.

      @@paulhope3401 What about the Streetfighter V2... it's kinda in the feisty middle weight naked category. I just bought a new ST but the SF was the other one "on my list."

      @@xpantz At aprox £16k ithe SF V2 a fair bit pricier than both but Yeah, why not... more the merrier. 😀
      Besides the ST RS; I was also keen on the Duke 890R but after some deliberation and fears over KTM's less than stellar reliability record, I went for a 23 MT09 SP, it just felt more right for me and the type of riding I do. I'm very happy with it, been a real pleasure to ride and I've had zero issues so far. :)
