I have shot G5 broadheads for many, many years! I have absolutely loved G5! Myself, I have always shot the T3 broadhead and my kids as they were growing up always shot the fixed blade they make, I forget the name of it right now. I have shot many deer (and turkeys) and my kids have shot many deer with zero issues. This year is the first season I have bought the Mega Meat, and honestly with your test I am kind of second guessing my choice! I will now have to do some test of my own to see if this broadhead compares to the T3 that I shot prior to this year and if myself and my kids should use them. Thanks for the great video!

Thanks Shane, I think the montec is what you are referring to. I almost got that to test with because they are simple and fail proof but I like to tinker. I'd still take this thing to the woods and hunt with it, I just don't think it will be my first choice this year. Thanks man.

Been sooting the mega meat for 2 seasons now and love them , entrance and exit wounds are always the same every time, replacement blades for 3 broad heads is like $22, at that price I’ll keep buying blades to have the massive wound channel it makes

They are disgusting now. No doubt about it.

The deadmeat (the 1.5 inch version) worked perfect on my elk last year. Flies good, deployed perfect, kept all blades intact even after hitting ribs. It seems more durable than the megameat just because the blades aren't so long and thin, less prone to bending and flexing. However, they as well aren't perfectly silent, they have a slight whistle through the air, but most broadheads do. Also, you're better off pushing the broadhead through the target and take the broadhead off the arrow. They are considered barbed, so the blades do not bend backwards to assist in pulling backward.

@Bradw354 these are all great points. I may try the deadmeats down the road. At the point of this video I was frustrated with the glue and was trying to pull every arrow out backwards to see if it would pull the insert. Stuff is frustrating in the heat. I definitely heard the whistle. Thanks again man

You might try hitting the side of the ballistic block with a blowtorch. Could help with clarity. I saw someone do it on another video. Just a thought.

Could you test the sevr 1.5 hybrid? I really appreciate your honest and straight forward reviews. What broadhead are you using this season?

Hey bro im shooting the megameat at 60# and you cant use the cardboard on your target. I think the blades are to sharp and they wont deploy for just cardboard. I put an old peice of leather gloves and jeans and it opened everytime after that. This is my first year shooting it and im pumped to see it in action. Good luck man.

Yea I think you may be right, unfortunately I don't have any more due to losing every head I shot lol.

Hey man, I done a little bit of testing myself messing around and I have bows from 60 to 83lbs and it’s doesn’t like cardboard for some reason idk why but if u take that same cardboard and put two pieces of leather and pin it to it then shoot it it’ll open up every time just strange to me also that cardboard won’t do it unless the blades are just that sharp

I will try that man. The blades are definitely sharp so hopefully that's why. I appreciate you sharing this. I lost 5 of the heads to blue glue and hot summer days so I will have to see if I can find that last one lollll.🤣😜
