This kinda actually makes sense... when you look at almost every model of grievous the top left green lightsaber when your staring him in the eyes in RoTS is just a Anakins Graflex saber with a green blade
I think if you took the sounds of the Black series, the ignition of the elite, and the flickering of the galaxy's edge saber you'd have the perfect Kylo Ren lightsaber.
Plus the unstable blade and the brightness of the custom sabers

I have the Elite but I’m really feeling the legacy a bit! The matte black and weathering is great on the legacy! But I’m gonna paint my elite! Already have the paint…the elite doesn’t come with a belt clip but I had a buddy of mine do so cutting on a chain slot for the door that works perfectly! Gotta mount it to the belt tho
And the effects of the elite like the blaster and drag

I talked to a cast member and she gave up on trying to call it Rey's lightsaber. She said they had Rey/Anakin/Luke's lightsaber in stock when I went.
I think they should just call it the Skywalker Sabre so everyone's happy.

Kylo Ren / Ben Solo is probably my favorite character of the sequel era. I love this saber and am super happy with the GE Legacy hilt.
Now whether to get a Luke ROTJ or Obi-Wan TPM saber next... 🤔

Definitely Obi-Wan. The RotJ hilt is a tad disproportionate and feels a little bit more toy-like. The Obi-Wan one is amazing though.
I agree, that new black series force FX looks almost orange on camera. It is very bright but the other two look “more red” because of that flickering the newest one is.

I just got back from Galaxy's Edge West and had a blast! My Fiance and I both built our custom lightsabers from Savi's workshop. Got loads of other goodies as well. I did end up buying the Kylo Ren Legacy saber along with a 36" blade and love it! Has a great weight to it and just looks amazing. Love the review! Liked and Subscribed :)

After seeing all of them, I will say that the Galaxy's Edge saber is the best. The Elite is a close second. It has more bells&whistles but looses due to the preposterous on/off-switch placement. Kudos for the superb comparison guys.
Great review! Been waiting for this since the graflex comparison. The legacy lightsaber is close to perfect if only it had a brighter blade, smoother ignition effect and better responsiveness. With the unstable effect, the cheap hasbro deluxe bladebuilders looks a lot better than the force fx elite's.
These high end sabers are pretty expensive, but there's this new budget sabers with removable blades at Disney stores and the kylo ren one looks especially good and screen accurate. They're pretty cheap and very similar to the legacy sabers, apart from being plastic and of prequel designs. I think they would make for a great comparison against Disney's own legacy sabers, especially Kylo's.

I feel like this inst an original idea but I like the concept of Kylo Rens saber including the equivalent of a couple of cellphone vibration motors so it can have a bit of physical feel for the instability.
Going to Disneyland from San Diego today. I'm actually going just to buy the Kylo Ren Legacy Saber and to ride the new Rise of the Resistance. This video got me super excited for the light saber. Awesome video guys!

The Legacy cross bars do have a light flickering effect. If you isolate in your hands you can see it. I noticed it without doing that and checked to be sure by isolating one of them.

People who insist that it’s Anakin’s and throw a fit whenever they call it Rey’s saber makes me laugh. Nobody says anything about it being called Luke’s UNLESS Rey is also mentioned
People also said that it doesn't belong to Luke as he built his own. And, Rey has built her own one now, so it ain't even hers anymore
shoot646 Anakin crested it. Luke inherited it and deserved it. Rey basically stole it. It’s a Skywalker lightsaber. And no matter how many times she says it, everyone knows she isn’t one.
Legally it’s reys cause of a certain finders law after anakin ditched it and Luke lost his hand then it became that alien women then Finn took ownership then passed it to rey I like anakins saber to but meh laws
People did complain, Luke made his own in Return of the Jedi. It’s Anakins lightsaber

the new elite pulsing effect is build into the hilt? or its a feature in the blade? and are the blades interchangeable
from the new elite with the legacy and savi blades? and if so do the pulsing effect carry over?
I purchased a box set of Kylo's saber in Disney Springs late last year.The hilt itself in means of detail is exactly the same as the Legacy saber, which I love. The difference is how to place the blade in. You still have to unscrew the top to put it in but the button for the effects on the elite saber is a locking mechanism in which you have to push to be able to twist the blade out. It comes with a plastic stand that is ok, but I wish it would have came with the metal one. And it also came with the wall mount and belt clup
I personally am not a Star Wars fanatic, or even casual fan, I have done a Kylo Ren cosplay with a combat saber, which was not even close to screen accurate in hilt design, etc, so I am looking at getting a screen accurate saber that wouldn't require much mods to it aesthetically, if you had to choose between the Galaxy edge and Elite, just out of functionality for sounds etc, which would you say looks and functions better?

I’m pretty late to the party but what are the sabers made of? And I really love each one in its own area individually. I love the originals sound effects with the movements and clash sounds but I love the elite fx having the blaster bolt and dragging effect button but I love the overall look and honestly the brightness of the legacy saber. At least on camera the og looked too dark and the elite looked too bright. Edit: I forgot to ask this too but can you buy multiple sabers in one go at dok ondar’s or is it one per day? Cause I’m planning a trip down to Florida and I’m wondering if I need to plan multiple days to get all the sabers I want. If you reply then THANK YOU SO MUCH. If you don’t reply I still thank you for showing the differences between each saber.
All three sabers are a mix of metal and plastic. The finish on the original Black Series and the Legacy feels most real to me. You can buy as many sabers as you want in one purchase at Dok’s but I think you’re limited to 2 of each individual saber. Enjoy your trip, and thanks for watching!

Yes, sabers occassionally sell out. This weekend they were out of the "Rey" Graflex style sabers and Mace Windu. Dok's also gets a line throughout the day - I've waited up to two hours before. So yes, we recommend going early!
hello, is it normal to feel that something moves a little inside the blade of the sword when shaking it a little?
Do you guys know what's the difference from the Disney parks and the legacy lightsaber besides the packaging?
Is thier any chance that you guys can get a hold of the Disney parks kylo saber for a comparison between the parks version and the galaxys edge version?
The Disney Parks Kylo saber is almost identical to the GE Legacy. Main differences are the accessories, blade length (33" on the DPE, IIRC), the blade having a different locking mechanism that requires unthreading part of the emitter (and which is not compatible with other legacy sabers).
Where can I get Kylo Ren Galaxy's Edge Legacy Saber when I'm outside of the USA?
so the one i have is like inbetween the black and legacy sabers, it has removeable parts but the blades are not interchangeable with my sav. ones

You can buy Legacy sabers at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at either Galaxy’s Edge location.
Is the Ben Solo saber like a rare piece that shows up at Dok's shop or is it a more recent addition to the shop?
It's a recent addition to the shop - came out with the Skywalker Reforged saber on December 20th (the day TROS was released). We were lucky enough to be there that day and picked it up!
I would like to know where you can get the first one for 50 bucks, i would buy them all day long because even on ebay the cheapest i have seen used is over 100.00 and new 150 and up so don't know where your getting your prices from.

I got the force fx elite kylo ren lightsaber and when i try to swich it on it made a short sound and the blades dont light at all. Is there any ways i can fix the lightsaber? I would really appriciate ypur answer

Brittney Siedofsky Rob here. That’s a tough question and is honestly subjective. All of the Legacy sabers look awesome and are well constructed. Dave and I are both big fans of the grafflex sabers so if you have to go with one that might where we’d be leaning.
lets end the debate of whose lightsaber it is and call it Skywalker's lightsaber. Anakin is a Skywalker. Luke is a Skywalker. Rey is now a Skywalker. boom next problem

I bought the supreme leader elite version. It was the first one I bought, but since then I've gotten a few more and most recently sabertrio's reaver and that easily beats out all others. the kylo ren saberfont on my reaver is amazing in comparison to the 3 you featured.

update: i bought the elite black series saber. Great choice i really recommend it. This video helped me decide.

I got the Galaxy's Edge Kylo Ren back when it was called Parks Exclusive. I was pleased that it costed less than my black series. I was prepared to buy the Rey. But they had the Kylo. I didn't for the life of me know how to take the main blade off until I watched this. I probably could have read the instructions. But I'm glad I seen this video.
1. The Legacy saber did have flash effects on the guards.. it also has a better fx with a yellow flash verses that white flash and the pulse looks better than the elite, 2. The Ben Solo saber was in it longer than 4 seconds... it was on the desk and was shown multiple times in the retelling of the attack scenes, 3. if I was going to Disney for a saber, I'd be building my own unique saber.

There is actually an effect in the galaxy’s edge it is just very hard to see because of the thick distortion paper in the small blades
When I was 13 in 2013 I believe. I got two FX lightsabers from Walmart? A Vader and Blue Luke. Were they rare or something because I haven’t seen them in stores since then. (In SoCal) they were like $30-$60 I don’t remember.

Also managed to pick up (Anakin’s) Disney park’s saber for $35 brand new straight from Disney and the defect on the activation box doesn’t really bug me

What size blade do you have on your legacy lightsaber ?
We both have the 31" blades that came with our Savi's lightsaber builds. It's a great middle-of-the-road blade length. I wouldn't mind picking up a 36" blade though.

I think the "Rey" Graflex style saber is the winner here because it can represent all three trilogies of the Skywalker saga. But get whatever calls to you!

It does not.
Biggest problems with the Force FX Elite (aside from it not always working properly & the blades not always lighting up in unison) are the loose on/off button & the hilt itself being too detailed & uncomfortable to hold for long periods. You can’t do tricks with it for that reason because it digs into your hand. Turns off way too easily with the loose switch too.
What do you guys recommend as far as blade length when buying a light sabre at Galaxies Edge ?
Dok Ondar's sells 36" and 26" blades. If you're over 5.5" tall I'd say 36", if you're under then I'd say 26". But Savi's Workshop sabers come with a 31" blade - that's the sweet spot to me. - Dave
@@TheRebelRave Wait theirs a 3rd option a 31" blade......now I'm confused. When you buy a hilt over the counter they come with the 31" and options are 26" and 36" after the fact ??
@@robberg150 if you buy a legacy Saber, it doesn't come with a blade. The options to purchase are 36 or 26. The Savi's Workshop custom made sabers come with a 31" blade. That's 200 bucks for everything.

Have you all checked out the boxed version of the Kylo Ren saber that is available at Disney? I have that one and the original Black Series, and the one from Disney takes a lot of the best attributes from your review and jams it all together in one package. It comes with a stand, a belt hook, blade, blade plugs, and hilt obviously. The hilt has the same finish as "the last jedi" saber, and is directly proportional with the Ben Solo saber that just released. It also has a far superior "unstable" effect than my Black Series saber and the Black Series Elite that you reviewed. I don't think there are as many sound options there, but the blade is bright and reactive, including a clash effect that blinks it out for a second. It's not ideal, but I think it takes some of the best parts from all three of the sabers you reviewed and sticks them into one $150 dollar package. At the very least, it's worth checking out if you want a jack of all trades saber, master of none (except looking amazing.)
Yes! The boxed “Disney Parks Exclusive” is almost exactly the same saber as the Legacy apart from the blade, locking mechanism and packaging/accessories. Solid saber.
I was planning on getting a legacy saber but I found a black series elite for 140 on Facebook still sealed in box and couldn't pass it up

You cannot - the blades are not compatible.

I'm pretty sure the Kit Fisto saber is being released as a regular Black Series saber - no removable blade.

I think the Force FX Elite is the most feature rich and has the best electronics (sound/blade FX). If electronics are your priority then the Elite is the saber for you.
My fav one out of the three is the black series elite one because of the effects and plus the switch placement most people don't like where they put the switch but I like it

For the legacy sabers can you change the crystal
No, you can only change crystals in Savi's lightsabers. Legacy sabers are fixed to their particular color and sound profile.
I have been on the hunt for a good quality Kylo Ren lightsaber and I came to this video. In my opinion the black series Kylo Ren force fx elite lightsaber is the best, good lightning and hast the snow drag effect. Sure the switch is loose but i have hand grip gloves so that might help. Like i said this is my opinion.
