- Walmart actually shipped out my Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Clone Wars Mace Indu, General Grievous, and Arc Trooper. Crazy. I like all three, one more than I thought I would. Now, is Walmart going to make them more available in the coming weeks, or is this it?

I like the idea of grevious at the beginning of the war in clean white, but by revenge, hes just been through so much action and death and destruction that his body just looks like that now, like hes just never cleaned himself after every battle
Mace is the clear standout in this group, for sure. I thought to myself, "Robo should just do a leg swap," right before we heard the "hmmm.."

I’m really glad that this line gets respect the 2003 clone wars mini series by the guy that did dexters lab and samurai jack is really underrated compared to the faloni clone wars tho I wish we got a durge figure that beefy boi needs his due now that he’s back in canon
He would take too much new tooling for Hasbro to possibly bother.

Yeah, for the ARC Trooper they reused the Echo version of the mold when it should have been the Phase I Trooper version. Maybe with Echo’s left forearm. This baffles me because unlike Boss or Fixer, it’s not like they didn’t have the parts. Take the pauldron and the kama from Rex or Bly, stick a rangefinder on the helmet and bam, it’s Fordo.
Though I admit I’m not miffed about this one because this figure looks really cool on its own, and making a custom Fordo will be a lot easier than trying to fix the Gaming Greats “commandos”.
I like the wider look on mace his appearance on clone wars cartoon being an absolute powerhouse was the greatest demonstration of a Jedis fighting skills outside of a saber
Okay I’m definitely getting the Grievous model kit and painting it like the animated series. Absolutely loved him in the show, stone cold, and menacing. Felt unstoppable!

General grevious looks awesome!
Grievous I wanted because it is technically his "first appearance" look. I would love for Hasbro to just make 6 inch figures that look exactly like the animated bodies, but that'll never happen so this will do. Also Mace kicked a lot of droid tuckus without his saber in that series, so displaying him without the saber ignited makes sense.

@@FanaticMitchell1 I mean maybe EVENTUALLY they will, but in the meantime they have settled for making the animated characters out of the molds for the live action versions.

Was surprised to find these guys last month at my local Walmarts, never heard of any preorders for them this far back. But it's not unusual for mine to put out stock like this so late, they also made the mistake of thinking they were old stock and clearanced them along with some recent Marvel Legends. It was only like $2 off compared to the legends being like $19 a piece but it still made me happy to have them since I wasn't into collecting when the original sculpts came out.
Just started collecting black series tomorrow a imperial clone shock trooper bad batch is arriving rly excited 😊

Nice. I was actually able to pick up the Arc Trooper at a local toy store rather than wal mart, glad I did, he is really cool and unique looking out of all the other troopers I have so far :P
Only wanted Grievous, but kept missing the preorders. Ugh love this look.
The accuracy issues of the arc trooper bug me more than they should. I feel like it wouldn't have been too hard to get those little details right, some normal clone legs, a fixed kama. Buts thems the changing times with black series. Accuracy has been punted for easy re-use.
The mace windu in this 2003 animation always reminded me of the Handsome Squidward 😆

I bought General Grievous and Mace Windu back then when they first appeared in the Series,but, the New Releases seem lot of reuse. Arc Trooper is a masterpiece !

I'm still disappointed in Fordo. He's supposed to be an early arc trooper, but Hasbro opened for the later body but a phase one head. I'm ok with Mace, but he's not what I was hoping he'd be in hand.
Wish they'd given him more accurate pistols too. Those standard guns don't have the big barrel attachments Fordo's blasters did

I think we all collectively went " hmmm" when got to boots lol either swap or dark brown paint...Saber on belt has that presence 🤔. In the animated he was wrecking those tin cans with his fist for a good while...

We better get a face-off between that Grievous and the recently revealed Vader when that releases, battle of the bright white bad guys.
Honestly that Grievous to me almost has a retro feel, in the sense that a lot of actual retro Star Wars figures had less complex and more vibrant colour schemes than the actual film designs. Plus as a child growing up with the prequels I had Grievous toys that were more white in colour, and I thought of him as that colour rather than the more accurate bone colour, so I think this figure has a simplified toy aesthetic in a way.
Wave 31 has been scheduled for an April release date here in the UK since late last year, but surprisingly when it finally released in the last week or so wave 32 was released along with it, so it was nice that even though I had to wait longer I was able to get way more new figures at once than I usually would.
Bad side about living in Brasil... No way we're getting the opportunity to buy those different figures hahah

Damn you Robo! Another fantastic review but I think you’ve Jedi mind tricked me into buying Grievous! I have the other 2, love them. But I’ve really held off on the General cause I love my custom kit. Ah well, good thing Ramen noodles are still cheap…
if the right side of the chest armor's peg hole is any indicator, it looks as though you'd be able to just heat up the pouch and glue it in on the other side

Who do the sabers go to that Grievous has? I’m sure there are a few out there who know which are screen accurate.
So... funny thing about the lightsabers in the Prequels. There's a number of lightsaber designs shared between different Jedi, just with different colors. Plo Koon and Luminara Unduli share a lightsaber design, just with different colors, for example.
The TBS6 Grievous comes with lightsaber designs used by Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Aayla Secura, and Shaak Ti, and on this version they're painted solid silver.
I just bought that ARC Trooper I didn't know that they came out with that my favorite colors are red and black and I wanted a new Clone Trooper anyway.
I like to get creative with my displays outside of their originally intended properties. I create entirely new worlds/teams and this stark white general grievous is going to look amazing next to my "anti-hero" team with white prototype Boba and eventual all-white Vader. Now if we can just get a black and white darth maul some day.
Seems like Fordo should've included a heavy blaster, too. I think that's the weapon most associated with him.
I've actually seen these on wing stacks in the center isle's at Walmart picked up the holiday scout trooper and a purge trooper sweet finds in the wild if I don't say so myself
The ARC trooper makes no sense to me. They’ve already got a base clone body, just attach the existing pauldron and skirt pieces to that slimmer body.
Yeah, once you look at the basics, it's odd to go this direction.
@@TheFwoosh like I could understand the reuse if they didn’t have the standard clone body, but they _do_ and it’s been around longer than the arc trooper.

Arc trooper really urks me that they could have just gone with the Bly/Rex base body and it would have been better. It's so close.
That said they could repaint this blue and have a perfect Alpha.

Im considering buying that grevious just for the lightsabers, the 2 blue ones would be better to replace the sabers that came with plo koon and kit fisto
Would you recommend opening these or do you think the value may go up? I’m genuinely curious I just got grievous and I rlly want to open him but I also think it looks great in the box and I would have a better possibility at selling it
Interestingly enough I preorder all of them on the first round of preorders in July 2021 and only received mace and the arc trooper so far. My Grevious has been delayed.

I don’t have either one but the heads on those Mace Windu figures look different to me. The Clone Wars version looks like he typically goes back for seconds, maybe thirds.

Missed opportunity for Walmart to have ordered more of these from Hasbro. I was never able to find them even when Preternia announced they were available. Oh well...
You should check out Clone Wars by Gendy Tartatovsky(?) on Disney +, grew up with just that leading up to RoTS coming out. I hope we get more Clone Wars 2003 animated like black series figures, I’d love a blue arc trooper to have the squad.

You know Hasbro couldve took the clone wars 2008 #6 General Grievous and upscale it to 6" ... but then again those classic 3.75 cardbacks in 6" is a slap in the face to time when every walmart and target had two aisles of star wars figures and vehicles

I always wanted the BS Grievous but after I saw this, I love my Bandai model kit Grievous. Its so much better. Except the cape, this is also not good. Anyone know how to cut a cape on my own? Are there shapes to download?

I really hope someone yoinks that helmet off the ARC Trooper soon to see if they painted the head for whatever reason as well as casting it in flesh tone.
While I understand the re-use is a price-saving measure, I do wish they'd just been new sculpts all around.
I'm with ya, but in this case, where it's rehash characters, and following the Black Series "make animation look realistic" guidelines, it makes sense to reuse parts here.

Yea, these are a let down. I just bought two of them yesterday from walmart and i thought they would look more like the animated design. Can't believe they reused older figures, repainted, and added stuff instead of crearing new molds for that animated look from the 2003 cartoon shorts. Bummer.

My local comic shop was able stock all of these through their distributor at retail, so there's hope besides relying on a walmart restock
