This is the car a 20-year-old me wanted to have back when she was new. Thank you for the strong work of bringing her back to life. I look forward to the reveal when you are finished. Well done so far!
Who knows if you noticed repair signs in the rear anti-sway bar mounts on the chassis... In the old days I had the same car, of the same model year and same diamantblau color with blue leather (simply in Euro specs, coupè form and Jubilhaum Sondenserie special edition), and apparently the new G50 gearbox of this series required to modify the anti-sway bar to clear its cast, and in several samples the bar ripped the chassis joints at low mileage (in my car at only 28.000 km / 17.400 miles from new). At the Porsche Facility I was told it was expected and they already had on the shelfs updated fasteners to weld to the chassis and fix the problem forever...
Interesting! Thanks for sharing Marco! We work with some very skilled mechanical teams specializing in these classic Porsches. Excited to see what life this little ol sc gets
Excellent work , really enjoyed this “clean up”. I’m an ex-Porsche technician, the dry ice process is fantastic, however 911’s are known for their rust traps and the dry ice removed the factory Cosmoline treatment, will you be rustproofing the underside again? I’ve removed many 911 interiors, a real pain as there screws /bolts everywhere
Fantastic work, maybe the car was repainted at some point but under that dirt and mold was a very fine car with hardly any traces of wear on the bottom and the interior as far as I can judge from the video. And that for a 40 plus year old convertible, that’s almost too good to be true.
Laser is primarily used for rust removal or working directly to refinish the metal. Dry ice wont touch rust, but it will clean and prepare the surface for laser if necessary

indications to use laser vs ice? or when both?

Awesome 😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥👊🏾
Great job as usual ! When do you use dry ice vs. laser ?

Amazing work! What conditioner are you using on the seats?
We’re using Swissvax Leather Milk

伟大的工程
That laser thing is pretty cool. Does it work for eyes?
The future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades
Sure! Just like Homelander
Вот бы еще процедуру озонирования провести в этом авто. Тогда был бы идеальный результат.
Is there a reason we never see you dry-icing any parts of the carpets?
We actually just dry iced the carpets on a Pista this week. It’s because when we have time, the tornador gun is the proper tool for the job.
One question please!
What is the colour code and or name for it?
Best Regards from Germany
Вторая жизнь!👉👌
What is the approx cost of such a detailed deep cleaning?
Is there somewhere SC? 😬 obviously you are right, this is a Carrera. Maybe editor put wrong title somewhere.
Great job Victor! There's another Black "barn find" waiting for you outside somewhere...😊
