I like your idea of using grooves to fit any type of jig, I use an L shape jig to register my pieces against but is not as flexible. Thanks for the great idea!
That's something I rarely do. The clearance on the screws that hold the honeycomb in place is very close so it goes back in the same location. I have not removed it since installing this system, but I wouldn't imagine there is much if any movement. I would recommend checking the positioning of the L fence after reinstalling though. Worst case scenario, you would need to make a new L fence. Any jigs that you've made you could adjust the positioning within Lightburn if it has moved.
