Atk% on gauntlets is useful to increase the damage of bomb debuff
You right, it is exception.
I find that even on bomb champions crit dmg is on pair if not better, yeah you have a good bomb setup but the average bomb champ can put like, two bombs, a extra 5k each is not worth going %atk
"Flat stats on your gauntlets or chest can go straight in the, ... uh, bin", somebody's been watching Hell Hades :).
You missed the Biggest! upgrade beside the gem mine, the sparring pit! A fully upgraded sparring pit can recover all slot investments in a matter of months because you get to train champions while you sleep/work!!!
I saved so much energy just setting a timer and several hours later the Level 1 Rank 1 champion is now level 10.
First few days of playing and I instantly made plans to max the gem mine, even tho it takes a full damn day to get 15 gems, it'll add up much better than relying and sweating on events.
The sparring pit is also getting it's upgrades, though for now I need to store and wait for about 1.2k gems just to finish it.
I always ignored the sparring pit cause id throw a champ in there and id get a notification that the champ was ready to level up. Id have to open up the game and hit level up and it would reset the timer. If im at work or busy i cant open the app every hour to hit the button so it seemed useless to me. Am i doing something wrong should it be passively leveling the champs up to max without me doing anything?
@@ChrittyMedia Yes. Level them up to 20 minimum so their levelling takes longer. E.g. level 49 to 50 can take a full day to finish.
i can’t get my great hall up especially when arena is broken.
well we can but it takes so fucking long because nearly everyone is so damn strong
same, can't upgrade the great hall if i can't win offensive battles in arena.
on a side note, everyday i purchase an item from the market to complete de daily quest, but then i never use the arena tokens. there's no way i can fight more than 1 battle every hour, i need to refresh 5-10 times to find a team i would have a chance against.
i can't claim the rewards since we can only have 10 tokens and it's always full. it would be nice, if we could collect those tokens and it just stacks up, like energy does.
Im at bronze 4 silver 1 limit, i can barely farm 1 or 2 silver tokens every day it's very annoing and makes me want to quit playing.
Until you can compete at a high level reduce your defense team to a single loser... you will be at the bottom all the time but you can earn and level up your great hall... then work on your arena team affinities until you can compete better

Attack % gloves and attack amulets are for Bomb champions since bombs don't crit.

I would say that you should save your rare books early on as well. At least as a low spender. Save them for great rares, like apothecary or soulbound bowyer.
Agreed. You should max out your starting Champ first, though. Chances are that he will be your number one campaign farmer and one of your best damage dealers for a long time.
Pulled shards last night,got apothecary when I was like lvl 20 and didn’t like the way he looked so I ate him...then found out just how good he was.Last knight I pulled him and couple other good ones so can’t be too mad about that.
5:55 was my biggest mistake, and what's worst? I did that with Eviscerator even used Coldhearth to upgrade her... lol!
I blew yellow books on a Judge. I feel no regrets.... Since I have no Legos. Lol

Yes to pairing up DEF with Def buff champion. Had Seeker as my team leader. Pulled Tormin and Trunda and sky-rocketed from Bronze to Silver IV. Then I changed team lead to Lord Shazar for speed but fell to Silver II and I had no idea why I losing so much. Tormin now leader and working on Rhazin and Maulie.

Ha! I've been wanting to do a Def team but havnt had a D-up champ. I had ONE sacred shard for the event and pulled Steelskull...... Not a leggo but still cant be too mad, Decent pull from one shard.
I agree that in the ideal situation, flat stats on gloves and chest aren't good but looking at it from a new player's perspective, if flat stats are the only choice they have that also has the highest rarity, I'd say it could warrant getting upgraded. This, of course, also applies to accessories too for new players where it's not plentiful for them and farming low rarity accessories isn't necessarily a good use of energy. in other words, people need to invest into their artifacts to get better artifacts; no one starts with 6* artifacts or is capable of farming them without starting at the bottom.
There's nothing wrong with flat stats lvl 40 and under. The money players doesn't understand that not everybody has maxed out artifacts with speed present in each substat.
(Btw warmaidens def AOE is sexy....but she doesn't pack a punch. Use "Dagger" instead the void champion.

@@anzelmasmatutis2500 For me it was Skullcrown and Brakus. Even now i wouldn't be gold 4 without them. They work really well together in pvp. Brakus was my first leggo but it wasn't until Skullcrown that things changed in the Arena. FTP 6 months 2 weeks in and got Arbiter a few days before Scyl.
All in all if you have decent luck you can make your way through the game. I just hope they fix the arena thing soon since thats too RNG dependent atm.
Ignore the doubters, I was in silver 1 before my account even unlocked high khatun and this was only last month when the arena is "so broken" with only f2p champs. You learn quickly which teams you can beat and which you can't. Don't look at legendaries and think "oh no I can't beat that" take into account whether they have a speed lead or not and their team score is not too extreme compared to yours and you'll likely win.
man... I had been playing for months before I knew book skills were random... Id hear content creators say "you need to book the A3" and Im trying to figure out how to make the books go to the A3... hah

BIG MISTAKES I've made early on: Not understanding how affinities really work and sacrificing rare Void Champions in the process (I did away with Bulwark and Harrier simply to make room in my tavern). Secondly, and most painful, was sacrificing Apothecary to upgrade Shaman to six-star status. UGH. Have not been able to pull him since.

Definitely with the artifact sets....I bought a couple and they were crappy pieces. I learned my lesson quick with that. You would think that because you're spending money and a decent amount on them you would be getting great artifacts with great sub stats....LOL
i basically popped all my rare books into warpriest and kael because i needed the xtra dmg cd reduction on certain abilities. I will however save them up once i finish all that though.
worst mistake i made when i started was using my 2* champs to level up my 3* champs in tavern instead of leveling them up and using them to rank up my champions instead. Also the big big big mistake i made was sacrificing Epic/Rare champs cause i didnt know about Fusions or how hard it was to get higher ranked champs LOL If i saw a rare that got like a F rank id scrap it into XP immediately. When i should have held on to anything 3* or above lol
I did that, then I too noticed the fusion thing and started saving all 3* above. I’d thrown champs I now need for the Razin fusion

Hey bro, one tips about atk% vs crt dmg%. I'm looking you videos cuz I'm new with Raid:SL, but I'm enought expert in Summoner War so... in summoner war there are some skill that ignore the crit dmg statistic (like Bomb explosion or some healing spell that heal more if you have a lot of atk). I immagin there is some monster like that in this game too... and here the value of that rune! Now the question! Is there any monster that ignore the critdmg% value?
Old video I know but I have to ask, even for an attack champion (one who is scaled for ATK as compared to DEF for damage) would you still go for Critical Damage or would Attack % be a better option??
If you're always critting because you've got 100% crit, then crit damage will be a higher percentage boost than attack % could be.
Hi Ash, We all know the stars of the champs, but have you ever done a video on the more common { more available} Champs. Have you ever classified a champ as a Nuker, Healer , debuffer, or types of buffing { defence increaser, decrease defence ,} it would be very useful.
Most are self explanatory imo.

Mid game tip: unless you are great in spider den..upgrade a champion to 6* that you have a banner for. I spent 4 days and over 5k energy before the spider gave me 1 banner I could use
I know this is an old post but i had a question. You mention using the correct order for your team. Does each slot determine which goes first as in 1st 2nd etc... If so obviously the first slot is first but which is 2nd 3rd etc. Is there some type of time bonus for those slots that make them go before the other characters for positioning? Aside from just speed determining it?
No - the order you put them in only matters if you have one of the 3 counter-attack champions. The only way to speed tune your team is literally to speed tune them - get more speed stats on your decrease def champion so that they go before your attackers. Good luck!
trying to focus on great hall but arena makes me tilt. im level 58 with level 19 great hall. i beat drag 20, stuck at spider 16, stuck at ice golem 17, beat stage 15 mino, and all keeps.
Edit: Also at stage 17 fire knight
I had no problem playing FTP. Even if i wanted to spend money i can't see anything to spend it on. Seeing as how i have Arbiter, i think ive moved into the early endgame area. So yeah, its perfectly doable.
Amazing video m8 as always! Two questions for my FTP account.
1st: Sparring Pit -> Is it worth maximize it? I have all the slots but should I upgrade them?
and second more important. My main atm is Relickeeper and I can farm like Stage 13 on Minotaur's Labyrinth. Am thinking at least for Relickeeper to spend 800 shards to max his masteries, I believe it will boost me a lot and I can easier farm after. If I try to farm it manually it will be like 14 energy per run and not sure what I will get and which champion will get it. So at least for 1 champion or maybe my main support as well after. it will worth it more than buy 9 Ancient Shards. What do you think?
Personally I do not believe upgrading the sparring pit is worth it I've unlocked all of mine which is worth it but upgrading in my opinion is a no unless you just are a massive whale.
with the amount of gems you spend to get all masteries, you can buy enough energy to complete them on minotaur and get extra energy and experience.
early in the game, you could use gems to get masteries so you progress faster, then farm minotaur when you can complete the later stages.
this is not what i did, and not what i do, but it would be efficient.
@@antonionabais6506 As far I did small calculations, I saw that with 800gems you get 800 / 40 = 20 refills so... 40 * 125 = 5k energy. So you can do around 357 runs on stage 15. In that case, if you split the masteries into 5 champions. So let's say 70 runs on average per champion and you need 950 divine scrolls for full masteries and you get 6-12 per run if you get divine, so... 420 - 840 and keep in mind that you won't get only divine scrolls.
So as a result, I believe its good to spend them on energy to build a team with masteries, but if you want to focus on your first champion to boost your account, probably it's good to spend them 1 time. At least I spend them on Relickeeper and I manage to pass many dungeons. If you are willing to spend 1600 gems it worths for sure to spend them on refill :-) My second 800 will go on refills :-D
If the champions skills benefit from attack and you already got 100% crit rate, wouldn't buffing the attack% be better than crit dmg% with gloves? My thinking is the base attack is multiplied by the other crit dmg on the champ so wouldn't having a bigger starting attack number be better?
Ash, I love your insight and knowledge, but the thing as a new player, how do we know which champion is a multi use compare to a specialist. I'm sort of getting it but like myself it is difficult to recognize these champions
Look at the Champions ratings for each dungeon and aspect of the game anything over a 4.5 means there really good at it at least that's what I did in the beginning. You also just need certain champs for certain spots on your team attack up attack down defense up Defence down Etc

What about training field? Worth spending early to get a few slots? or just wait till later?
some people say yes and some say no... My opinion is that there are much better things to spend your gems on early game. Such as, gem mine, first complete masteries for your first lvl60 , extra energy when needed for events.... just to name a few.

I'm pretty sure under stats it says that crit DMG IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL to attack.
1.5x DMG OF ATK I think. A healthy ATK percentage makes sure you don't gut your criticals

My biggest mistakes were watching Twitch and RUclips videos about the game and progression.
I was happily free to play for 8 months before that happened and now I'm 3k in.
That's why plarium loves their RUclips peeps

always roll a legendary piece of gear with a speed substat, especially if it is speed gear. You NEVER want to miss a quad speed roll even if it is on a flat hp glove for instance. SOMEONE WILL WANT IT for the speed alone
I had to spend 200 gems on refreshes to get silver 1 by fighting people with no real defense teams. It's super frustrating as a just over 30 day player because everyone is so difficult, it's more than just having to play too high of people that's one part another party is a loss losing you 11 points when only get 9 for wins. I sure hope arena changes come through soon it destroys working on your great hall and puts missions and quests out of reach, even though I did the 200 gems I went out of silver pretty quick so I won't be able to get the silver medals for quite awhile. Pretty much until I get a full team of 60's that are good for arena i feel I can't make real work on the great hall. Overall I'm ok with most other progress in the game, though getting free good summon shards is a little to tough so I've spent a little money.
I'm 60 days in and have no arena issues. I can't break bronze 3 but my great Hall looks pretty decent. I also only fight good competition while trying to win. Honorable fights. Lol. It's helped me learn the strats pretty well that my 50k power team can kill a lot of 70k power teams.
Just downloaded last night... I'm hooked. But now I need to hear more
Best rares: Kael, Warmaiden, Apothecary, Coldheart, Athel, Soulbond Bowyer, Frozen Banshee, Coffin Smasher, Marked, Elhain, Galek, Coffin Smasher, Fellhound, Bulwark, Bellower, a few more etc. Watch a lot of this guy ASH, watch Hell Hades vids. Those are the best for newer players etc. Don't spend a lot of money, well unless you have a lot of discretionary income to do what you want etc then I guess do what you want. If you have 10 dollars a month to blow on the game you absolutely should buy the "Daily Gem Pack" you get 2150 gems in 30 days for 9.99 it's the best deal. It's a long grinding type of game you will hit points where it is tough to progress. If you are still having fun keep going. Good luck. Game is not very friendly to low spenders or free to play players but it's also not impossible to progress if you study the mechanics of the game and start building teams of rare/epic champions with good synergy. You don't always need legendary champs to progress.
Find "don't make these mistakes" videos. Much more helpful for new players than all the unit guide and gameplay videos combined. Recognize raid is a glorified slot machine, run by a casino company.
Hell Hades has got a really good Free to Play series which would be great to support videos like this that highlights mistakes. Good luck and enjoy the game. I'm 90 days in and really enjoying the challenge.

I use my gems mostly to buy ancient shards (at least till I feel, I have a gud team for Arena and for Clan Boss)
I always buy the 11 pack one, its really worth. Sadly i was doing before i upgraded the mines(took me like 6 months to realise the mines were profit)
Put about 9 Epic books into Elhain at the beginning and I'm still salty about it lol
I put Lego books into a Judge. No regrets. That guy is a spider stomper.
Is it better to have higher star artifacts or higher quality? By quality I mean blue, pink or orange. TIA
Higher star artifacts also give you higher stats and substats but rarer artifacts give you more substats bonuses so its really a mixture of both and good rolls.

Biggest mistake I made was to waste all the early game gems, by level 30, if you just follow the quests and missions accordingly to your gameplay, you'll end up with nearly 2000 gems, enough to go full mastery on two main champs + upgrading that gem mine :) Unless I missed it in the video, that would be my first recommendation, not wasting a single one of those as they're getting as rare as books over time.
Hey Ash, I noticed you pointed out a lot of void champions. As a f2p player, void shards are rare, would be lucky to pull any good rare voids let alone any good Epic void. If this is meant for f2p players, I would suggest leave the void champions out, chance of f2p getting any of these good epic voids is slim. On a second note I got Sinesha as my 1st Epic from shards early on. She actually helped me go through Dungeons and Campaign a lot. I disagree about leaving her out and putting Skullcrown as priority. I have zero void Epic so far, all the voids I got are trash rare. If I would of wait for Skullcrown over Sinesha, haha I wouldn't progress where I am now. Just my thoughts.
agree.., I learnt the hard way, to "save your books" for gud champions and gud skills.., and NEVER use legendary books on epic / rare champs..

just imo Plarium NEEDS to give us more ways to get epic & (especially) legendary books
I WANT to focus on my great hall but I can't because Plarium thinks it's a smart idea to get one tree to level 10 to get an arbiter and be competitive in arena. So right now I have everything level 2 or 3 and getting my crit damage to level 7 which will take so much arena time.
I can't imagine the grind for level 10
Would it be more beneficial to use a "Perfect roll" item even if it doesn't make a set? Like having 6 different set items, but their stats are near godlike, if not godlike?
Because that's what I did and I like the results. Waiting for better gear is getting old and i'm having an internal debate.
This is REALLY late, but I like talking to myself a lot so it doesn't mater!!
Anyways, single pieces are always better than a complete set, unless you something like lifesteal so you will need the set, but the other two pieces don't have to be in one set, mech mash them if their rolls are good, for speed boosters in arena you will need a full set of speed tho and the perfect speed roles on them, as good as your account offer, so they are the harder to build.when it comes to accessibility to the right gear.

My only mistake was investing 10 rare books into Galek. which sucks a lot more than most mistakes on here.
How long or what needs to be done to move into hard, brutal and nightmare farming? I've played thru the campaign dozens if not hundreds of times, yet the harder levels are all still blocked from me. Do I need to do the missions blindfolded with my hands tied behind my back to unlock the harder difficulties?
After beating state 12-7 you should be able in the map to toggle to the next difficulty in the bottom left and then open and fight stage 1-1.
@@Wulfereene I have been beating stage 12-7 for weeks now, but when I try to change the difficulty, I'm still locked out from doing it.

Well I'm now at day 3 of this game and it is so complicated half of what you was talking about is gibberish so yes I guess I made all those mistakes I'm having a hell of a time of getting my champion leveled up Kale's at level four stars and you got to level up other champions and sacrifice them and that is just really complicated to the point of me just quitting the game got no money invested so no big deal great game but awful complicated

You need to have a raid card to do a hundred multi battles, which costs money, but you get 30 for free

Tweh, guys Flats should be to champ who is not specialized on that specific stats. For example: Athel is an attack so if you put percent Def; you wont get as much defense as Flat Defense stats!!!
Well man, I think attk % is much more better before you have decent gear ... logic would say if you have 50% crit dmg than 1% crit chance should increase your dmg by 0,5% but if you increase your crit dmg over 100% cxrit chance should be much better. I know this calculation isnt perceft also some champs do something extra when they crit. But when you have only white gear 5* max than I think attk % could be more.

God I forgot about the Great Hall!
By the way, they adjust probabilities of favorable results to maximize revenue without losing player loyalty.

Elhain or Mausoleum Mage is my vote. The starter champs are all actually Epic ability at minimum. Kael is Lego for all bosses.

I always try to place my champs in a specific order like you suggest, yet the game always overrides my order of them! WTH?
Dude, you can't put your champs into any specific order by placing them, you need to adjust their speed value by giving them the right artefacts, so that the one you want to go first ist the fastest. Also keep in mind that a speed Aura of your leading hero will grant its bonus based on your hero's base speed, not their already buffed speed. So let's say you have an attack buff support champ with base speed 90 that you want to go before your damage dealer with a base speed of 100. Using artefacts, you got the supporter to speed 170 and the damage dealer to 169. Now you use a leader with a 20% speed aura. The aura gives the supporter 90*0,2=18 additonal speed and the damage dealer 100*0,2= 20 additional speed, messing up their order. Also, enemy moves that manipulate speed or turn meter can mess with the order.

i dont know, getting ancient shards is easy, and to an extent void shards too, it's possible for f2p if you only pull on x2 events, you have to save shards at a certain point no matter how much you want to spend them
as a ftp player, i never had any issue with the amount of shards we get for free.
i've been playing for 6 months and have 6 legendary champions (3 from fusion and fragments) and some void epics.
booking them is much harder. since i started playing, i collected 7 legendary books total, not even enough to fully book one champion.

A champ that has aoe freeze/daze/stun
It means characters that can control the opponents with things like stun, freeze, etc. If they're under one of those debuffs they can't attack you or place/clear buffs/debuffs of their own.
you should say that 1st champion in the beginning what you pick should be Kael.
