- A day late due to technical difficulties! We got a whole lot of Datsun going on in this video! Time to do some fabricating on the old mini truck, check on a couple engines, may of even found a 5 speed! Hope yall enjoy!

My better half of almost 44 years Cindy and I met at the local drag strip when we were teens. We kept running in to one another so in 1978 we tied the knot. We have 3 adult sons and 8 grand kids ages 4 to almost 17. Having lots in common helps a ton. Our mutual car interests are wide spread from rat rods to drag cars to sandrail's to quads and jet skis. We drag raced Super comp and 3 Junior dragsters until 2015. Now we have three street rods and 7 cars and trucks. Of course she has her crafting hobby. Last year she hand made almost 10K greeting cards for the US Military. She will exceed that amount this year. You are right. Not only can it never be underestimated but it should never be taken for granted.

I recently picked up a 1965 Ford F100 that I started working on, mainly because of channels like yours I finally got the motivation to move from rebuilding vintage motorcycles to trying my hand at rebuilding this vintage truck... The funny thing, I didnt notice it at the time when I picked it up because the paint was so oxidized from sitting for 20 years... its Ford Factory Baby Blue.

Rap video is great. Love the tail lights and the retractable plate is awesome. Had a similar idea on my 82 c10. Was gonna french in a plate box and have a cover that retracts into the tailgate

What we used on the farm for anything rusted was a 50/50 trans fluid and brake fluid mix and let it set. It would free up a virgin on prom night!

Here’s another tip for you. Get you a flexible fabric tape measure from the sewing department at stores for measuring around curved surfaces like your taillight buckets you made in this video.
Between the bumper, tail lights, and tag mechanical engineering design the Datsun is looking original and great. Definitely like the puddin's blue color!👍

Something that might help you or someone else reading. If tracing a part for a template or gasket or anything like that and you don't want to leave permanent marker marks on your part (like your chrome trim for your light), buy you a few fine point dry erase markers. They write on paper and cardboard as well as permanent markers, but you can wipe it off the part.
