- After searching for the right floor color i found a temporary van floor option that ended up being the perfect floor. I am very happy with it.

I think sheet vinyl is the way to go for a one piece floor for a van, esp with a drooly dog :) (love you Disco, but admit it, operating that water bowl can be tricky)

I'm with you on the vynal. laying all those wood boards would have been a pain and a lot of time. The vinyl will be easy to clean it's inexpensive it can be replaced easily down the road if you want to. Good choice

While everybody is talking about putting duct tape down for the seam is not a bad idea there is a better idea they have this metal strip that you put between a carpeted or tiled or vinyl area and you can slide anything over it I don't think it cost very much and is quick and easy to install just a few screws or nails I would suggest going with the screws if possible the vibration of the van driving over the road will more likely loosen any nails that you have in anyting a whole lot faster than a screw would

Good floor choice. Vinyl floor is low in cost and easy to keep clean. On the plus side you saved a large chunk of money. The floor looks great and you installed it like a champ. My daughter loves Disco, she thinks he cute. The van is looking more and more like a home. Take care Chrome.

Pretty gorgrous!!! Gray is my camper color as well. Gray is soothing, complimentary of who I am and I have lived with that color for years. You can incorporate so many colors to change the look and style. Gray was a great choice my friend. You rock Babe!!!

Oh.. forgot to say.. I feel like you Cap'n Chrome Sir.. methinks it looks tight and right.. the flooring. for $40 you can scuff the shit out of it.. tear it.. no fears no tears.. replace it once a year.. done. ;]]
Those changes made a huge, quick aesthetic improvement. Great for the mind and soul! I would get another sheet of that paneling and put it on the side and tail doors, it would really finish it out. I did a similar thing on a 1962 Ford Econoline van I restored and build out years ago. Looking great!

Love how you just getter done when you put your mind to it. Oh...the trim is going to look so good too! Thanks for taking us along with you on this build. I wonder if you use hinges for the trim boards you are going to install to camouflage the wires. That way if you need to swap anything out you won’t have to deal with added holes for any changes Disco needs a nice white hard hat! He’s definitely supervising it all. Cheers and Ola!

It looks great! Vinyl flooring is sturdy, easy to clean, soft on the knees & the color is friggin' perfect in your van! A seriously good choice!!!

Have you considered placing Disco's water/food dish in a deep tray, or a Rubbermaid/Tupperware style rectangular plastic pan? Not higher than the edge of the water dish but high enough to catch the 'drink slops'? Loonie stores have cheap ones :D

I suspect the bike would either get stolen or cannibalised for parts, would attract unwelcome attention to the van in general and would get trashed by Vancouver weather.

TBuy another of the cabinets you liked in the back and make a false front to cover up the propane tank. That way it matches.

Dude, that's awesome! I was hoping you would skip the expensive (in my experience, fragile crap) board laminate flooring. Labor intensive to install; and rip out when it leaks, wears out fast, or fails; reflooring labor/cost/time, etc. A good sheet vinyl floor is water & dirt tight (no pieces), super cleanable, sturdy, flexible on knees, AND easily & affordably replaced. Great choices, great job! You got this one for sure! Beautiful home!!
I agree with you about the taller cabinets on either side of bed: looks finished, planned, highly functional. Hey, I trust you will figure out a way to stow your gear to make it work in time, if it's what you want. Doing it natural, no rush. You got this!

I like the lino (english word) much better than the laminate. Most Brits have this at home, as its easy to clean and its warm. Laminate holds the cold. The vans looks dapper!!

Hey Chrome to remedy Disco's water bowl from spilling, there are shoe/boot trays that even the Dollar Tree has. Just put some grip on the bottom.

Excellent. I believe people have had problems with the other kind expanding and contracting in van installs resulting in gaps. You might want to leave a little space around the walls when installing.
