Frankly, your van build in an hour is my favorite van build. Simple, clean, straight forward, and functional. No fuss no muss and affordable. Perfect. Thanks for sharing your van life. Love your vids. 😎👍
Love that advice. "Pull up like you live here" - parking near retirement homes is a great idea. I work in them and never thought of that. Night staff often park in the evening so it won't look that strange to pull up at 8pm and park up.
Your van build is such a refreshing difference from most of the “Instagram” van builds out there! I came here backwards from most. Watched the Cat Van Lady and that sent me to your channel.
I found your channel about 2 months ago. Today, I started watching your videos/progress/experiences from the beginning. Your love for life, being yourself, following your dreams has inspired me. Thank you! ❤️
Don't mind who don't understand your process. You are amazing. You are an inspiration. You are helping many people see that you can do this as u go. And not get bogged down by all the technical stuff that u may not need
Love jumping back and watching where you started from to where you are now :) mad respect haha Me and my pup Piston are currently living like your beginning now and still loving it 🤘🏼rock the van life stay weird brother 👍🏼
This makes me want to make the change like NOW. Considering I work at a gas station that isn't shy of letting people park overnight, I work 3rd shift and have a gym membership, where I can get my daily routine in, shower and just park at my job. Seep for a few hours then go to work. I have a few family members within a couple miles where I can wash clothes and charge my devices. My car insurance is just as much as what i pay for rent now. If I cut the cost of rent, I'll be golden. Now, gotta find a van, sell my car and hopefully start my journey.
Going back thru all your videos... And these are the best, showing how to start and then how you can add as you go along and improvise... thanks Chrome. I have started converting my Navigator, I would just get on the road also but have commitments through the end of the year. So I make some changes go camping out on the weekends and make changes during the week or on weekends that I cant get out on. Again thanks for all the positivity, my travel and living companion is my 7 yr old Olde English Bulldogge Ollie 🥰
Hi, I am a french canadian (from Quebec) and you're a real inspiration for me. Your videos are amazing and proves that it doesn't take so much to change our life. Maybe one day, I will be able to do the "van life" me too. Thank you.
You are such a warm person. This is SUPER helpful to everyone, but especially to women, who are likely to very intimidated by the just the thought of "the van build", but may find themselves in a situation where they are desperate and need a quick housing solution. Hugs to you for this. Of course, your rig gets better suited to your needs all the time as you live in it.
Just found your channel. Great info and I think you've hit the nail on the head. Why spend huge amounts of money until you really see what you need. Half the fun is putting it all together, Love it!!!
I just found your channel today, and am a new subscriber. I love how positive you are, your videos are fun, informative, and what I love most about it is the simplicity. I am all about the simplicity! You've given me some great ideas, thank you I am loving your videos!
Enjoy watching your video! I'm in the process of van dwelling/RV life, watching you is just like I tell people, just another day in paradise! Keep up the great videos!!!!!
Appreciate your videos! Watching all those intricate builds are intimidating, lol! Your style is giving us the boost we need to just get a van and get started. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be going full time for a while, but we love our road trips and even though we've done the cheap motel hopping, it is still the biggest expense and I'm so sick of packing and unpacking, (and always a gamble with the comfort of the bed) Honestly a few basics and we'd be good. One for sure though, I'd need my porta potty, lol! Just for middle of the night situations, but there's a ton of options. Cooking would be very minimal. We'd have a few snacks and maybe something of a meal now and then, but we LOVE going to local diners in different towns to experience the vibe and the food. Most of the time we split a meal...saves on wallet and waistline and we don't need to bring back leftovers. :) Anyway, thanks again, love your attitude!
I just found your channel and I really appreciate the simplicity of it all. I have one year left to be debt free and you are inspiring me to do it at that point instead of working for another year to get the money to pay for all the fancy stuff I see in all of the other channels installing in their videos.....Thank you for publishing your videos!!!
You might want soup when it's cold outside, or some pasta. Boiled water goes a long way. I have a minivan that I use for a bedroom sometimes (when I'm camping), with a cot, and tub that I use for storage and a side table. I also have a bucket potty for emergencies. I travel with two dogs (border collie mixes) a big one and little one. Together they're like one big hairy dog! LOL. Happy trails.
Weirdo here. Love the battery powered lights. Very simple. Nothing to break or have to troubleshoot. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your journey.
I think you are doing amazing at this van life thing, don't let anyone tell you any different. I think it was smart to live in your van like you have and understand "your" needs and build according to what you and Disco need. It will be fun to continue to watch your process, you do you cuz you are doing a great job!
Wow. Hope the people were ok in the house fire !!?? . Good to see your channel growing fast 🚀and also informative to watch your van fitting growing to suit your needs.. Great idea 👍 It makes you realize just how little you need to live. Food, water, shelter a cute dog 🐶
Dude, I'm a fairly new subscriber...your vids are positive, which I can't say about other vanlifers I sub to. I realize its not always gonna be great everyday, but your attitude is awesome and to me, attitude is 90% of the battle (with daily life). Thanks again for the rad vids, excellent made & music tracks are top notch!
The lights look terrific. I hadn't thought of using lights with batteries, that is a great idea. The stickers on the top of the desk worked out nicely.
I think it looks fabulous! In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter about what everyone else thinks because they do not live in your van, you do. Happy trails man!
Since organization is super high on my list, I really enjoy your vids! You seem to really have a great organized flow to your lifestyle ... so it makes for a good vibe and a nice uncluttered yet comfortable looking routine! Plus, your approach of living with the space first to see what you need/desire and finding an uncluttered way to fit it in is GREAT! So many other Vanlifers talk about having to unload unnecessary stuff!
Thank you so much for your channel. Yea the expensive builds are nice and all but when you're on a really tight budget it can be discouraging. You my friend have brought renewed hope for me with your simplicity and thriftiness.
Hey Hey Hey how you doing GOOD BUDDY! I like the additions to the van, that’s how you do it, just like pay as you go😂. “GET OUT LIKE YOU OWN THE PLACE” be friendly, show love, and it will come back 👍🏾 you are so right about that, well until the next one, be blessed and keep doing you🙂
I agree with you Mr. 750... pay as you go....get it when you need it...absolutely He has a different message to send....and it is very motivating as well ..for example.... . there are people that watch these channels, that may want to live this life style.. and we see lots of builds and pimped builds... and not EVERYONE have the money to start that way... but if you start out his way... now you can build as you go... and get it as you need it...He sends an awesome message.. which gives people hope that they too can live the nomadic life style (without having rent to pay anymore... it makes it much easier to SAVE MONEY
"You've come a long way baby"! Especially giving up coloring the stache. Fun watching some of your older work (like this one) when you first started vanlife. :-)
Great job to tie down the heater on your door, you don't want a heater to get kicked over by the dog while you're sleeping. Solar panels are great if you have a relative that don't mind you storing the 2 panels in their garage for the winter. The snow days seem to be less and less every year, it is light enough to keep up with brushing it off with a hand wisk. Well maybe not in Vancouver but in Southern Ontario it is.
All we all need in life is a safe place to sleep realised that when I lived in a jungle village near Cambodia. Where I lived there was many animals that could harm you or even kill you crocodiles and snakes where every where and not to be underestimated in any way. Returned to UK, 8 years ago and live a simple life style like your self. One huge problem when living in a van is condensation air flow and lots of it solves the problem as well as avoiding carbon monoxide poisoning. Best method of air flow I found is air vents close to the floor and ceiling in you van (use the ones that cant be closed) as well I fixed a rotating fan fixed to the roof make certain there always open and the air flow solves many problems may seem odd heating a van only to let air flow in and out your van but most the heat is trapped in insulatoin keeping you cosy and better to be safe. A fire extinguisher is another must have I have one each end of my home on wheels. Fridges use a lot of energy so now I don't use mine keep me milk and Beer cool in a streem of cool running water on a small patch of land I own. Regarding electric for lights I do as you do but use a rechargeable solar type of fairy lights very cheap and always carry a spare set of them. Cooking I do out side on one of many stoves I have. Laundry and wash my pots and pans, 2 large buckets are used doing a small amount daily. Other electric devices are charged with my small inverter generator that seems to run for ever on very little petrol and is very quite when in use. I really want for nothing in life this lifestyle saves me a fortune in housing costs and no housing taxes that are exspensive every month in the UK. To shower I use a garden pump spray system there powerful and very cheap. Toilet is a compost or chemical they bouth do there job perfect. I've always thought that when living in a house how many rooms can you be in at any one time and why heat a house when living in a single room is all that's needed. Enjoy the journey on the road less travelled,😃
VANCITY VANLIFE Thanks for taking time to reply it means a lot a few words can change the world we all live in. Some things I learnt during my many years of living a simple life style on the road less travelled, like your self is never be with out 2 or better 3 strong identical sized buckets, different colours for different usages there uses are never ending from taking a shower to carrying your food from the shop to your van. 100s of uses There's a video you could make there just on the usage of buckets be certain to end it by filling a bucket from a cool running streem fill it with bottles of beer to chill under your van then enjoy the contents of each bottle. After that just store your every day items you need in them hang them from your van roof saving floor space.. Even these days my morning routean evolves around buckets firstly bathing then doing my Laundry by hand then tie a line between your open van back doors and hang your cloths out to dry. Regarding food never be with out bread and bananas found in most food shops in the world high protein that makes a great sandwich try them battered cooked in a little oil or toasted there just great. Jam is also useful try a jam or chease, sandwich battered and fried there wonderful good filling cheap food. My self I live so cheap it's unreal it's by choice as home food simple cooking is just the best no prepacked rubbish for me. Buy your ingredients fresh daily use the shops fridge not your own ice may seem cheap but money saved all adds up over time that money saved can go to better usage like helping pay off your van or a long road trip. Enjoy your style it's different and very addictive topics are many that involves the van life. I myself have no wish to ever return to living in a house with out wheels. Regarding promoting your DJ buisnes get made some magnetic signs (I use them the amount of buisness they generate is amazing) that way it's a one time only outlay for the signs and the signs can be removed when you park up on a night to sleep. Just think your name and number will be seen by 1000's of people daily in many areas the signs do the work for you so you don't have to. I've tried every form of advertising in the last 35 years there is and a van with signs on it pays off with huge amounts of work. I'm a coffin maker my customers are dead but I'm always very busy so you just can not beat the power of signs on a van and I realise you would not want your van sign written straight onto the paintwork. Just a thought and if you ever need advise about this life style feel free to ask your welcome.😊☺
I saw people building their van for 1/2 year on every weekend until they were finally ready to take off. They spend hundreds of dollars for little details that were completely useless ... in the end the van wasn't cheap anymore. You are doing it right.
Love your show and your little guy is a sweetheart. If my husband would go full time,I would do in a second. We have a promaster rv and I really get a kick out of our trips. Problem is I have to come home. Y’all are awesome keep up the great fun shows. Stay safe and have fun
I love the buddy setup. A word of caution, get a carbon monoxide detector ASAP. Those heaters are great but must have breathable air. Most people I've seen keep a couple of Windows cracked open and even have a roof fan to draw air out.
VANCITY VANLIFE yes please keep windows cracked I expedited in a extended 3500 cargo van for 7 years and I used to Buddy Heater you have to keep the windows cracked because any form of propane heat causes condensation and it will drip from your ceiling... also if you use shaving cream on the inside of your windows you won't have condensation or fog buildup on the inside of your windows.. and I traveled with two shih tzus and even though there are non-shedding breed and have hair instead of fur they still lose hairs so I always had one of these that I used on my blankets on the floor and on my seats refills for these are only like 6 bucks it was more than worth it for me.. of course I shook my blankets outside every day along with my rugs but I'm kind of crazy about having hair on my stuff and I had long hair down to my butt so I also shed a little.. and by the way I love your no-nonsense attitude I've been accused of having that my whole life I also had what they called don't give a shit button LOL anyways Blessed Be from me and the Tzu crewwww.amazon.com/dp/B00IYSCXXW/ref=asc_df_B00IYSCXXW5211277/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=394997&creativeASIN=B00IYSCXXW&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198111066934&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4232756359807447336&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9017533&hvtargid=pla-317958989427
Another helpful video and still you just make me laugh! I am going van shopping this week and you have become my number one go-to videos! I love the whole vibe you have!
I like your process in building a multipurpose van. You can camp out or empty out: haul bicycles, move furniture, or haul garbage to the dump. This is not a permanent conversion.
Loved the video. And super agree with you. Van life should be simple and not full of gadgets and stuff. The music on your videos are cool by the way. Keep it up ! 💪💪💪
I've been telling my husband for months to lets look at a van; we did three years in an RV, I want to try van life.. he said we needed to think about build, I said lets move in and build while were doing it, he said it couldn't be done, but you proved my point... lolrotf! So rubbing his nose in this video... lol! Loved this video, can't wait to see more..
Great tips. Really like your message to not let details stop you from getting started. It should not be overwhelming worried about solar and water and all that. Just get out there.
As soon as I find the van I'm going to build as I go as well that was always the plan and now that I'm homeless it's the only option lol thanks for ur videos man ur giving me inspiration finally seeing the life lived without a fancy start off build
My boy.....doing his thing! Thx for the vid, bro. Just an FYI.....when you speak, the volume is low, and when you dont speak and play the music......the music is WAY louder than when you speak. Keep doing your thing, and stay safe.
Love your puppy lol The face only a daddy could love :-)))) Cheers .. I enjoy your videos and you have a great attitude about things!! Be well :-)) from New York :-)))
I love how you've approached your build - do what you need to when you find the need. I've been looking at mobile living a bit for various reasons, and your method has been inspiring. It works great for minimalist living and also supporting your DJ business. You've added the heater now, and I've always thought maybe Thinsulate (while expensive) glued to a thin paneling or wall board and drilled into choice spots in the van's support beams might just be easiest and good enough. I think the floor you have is good enough as well. Keeping it simple and agile is so appealing. Thanks for sharing and I'll keep following.
Thanx for another great video lately I’ve been in a crap mood but ever since I stumbled across you’re account about a week or so ago... you’re Attitude has been so positive it’s hard for me to stay negative about life thanks it’s honestly given me the little boost I needed Stay blessed and humble
VANCITY VANLIFE any time I really enjoy these videos there very positive and real I've also watched so many van life type videos and they seem nice and all but like you said they scare you away from trying it out becouse they make it seem like you need to do all that build out and that's also the reason I myself havnt try to live in a van but after seeing how you live it makes me feel like doing it I want to travel and see allot more and I feel like a van life is the life for me
I love catching up on old videos 📹 😌
me too 😀
Frankly, your van build in an hour is my favorite van build. Simple, clean, straight forward, and functional. No fuss no muss and affordable. Perfect. Thanks for sharing your van life. Love your vids. 😎👍
I pray that no one was hurt by the fire, I'm really sorry for the people that must have lost everything.
Its like I built my small house from a cool storage shed. I lived in it for 6 months with 2 x 4 walls, one plug in and one light :)
park like you own it. Love it.
Love that advice. "Pull up like you live here" - parking near retirement homes is a great idea. I work in them and never thought of that. Night staff often park in the evening so it won't look that strange to pull up at 8pm and park up.
My man,you make van life look so easy way easier I'll follow your advice and life in a van.
You make more sense than a lot of people on RUclips. You're awesome.
Louella Alebiosu he totally does!
Black Rose People easily connect with him. He is not so self-focused and clickish. Really happy I found him. Awesome channel.
Your van build is such a refreshing difference from most of the “Instagram” van builds out there! I came here backwards from most. Watched the Cat Van Lady and that sent me to your channel.
For those of us on a budget I love the process you are using to convert your van. Because it does get you out there sooner.
👍🐶❤️ Love the retro ‘Tache...
You crack me up with the eh eh batteries.
I found your channel about 2 months ago. Today, I started watching your videos/progress/experiences from the beginning. Your love for life, being yourself, following your dreams has inspired me. Thank you! ❤️

Re: GREAT temporary light. Camping lantern! square batteries, lasts a long time. LOVE your dog's little tongue sticking out. Hah!!
Makes sense to wait to see what ya need
This makes me want to make the change like NOW. Like we say in engineering, KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). Love it!
Glasses becomes you- learning and enjoying the videos
love your videos xo

You're the only person on RUclips that makes sense! I get it...best videos!
Just found your channel. Great info and I think you've hit the nail on the head. Why spend huge amounts of money until you really see what you need. Half the fun is putting it all together, Love it!!!

i love your simplicity, confidence and videos. thank you for making it look as simple as it can be- iIMO you are genius.
Love the simplicity of your van...alot of people spend thousands of dollars and months building. This is a good channel for me to watch..😎
You rock omg my first RUclips marathon!
Thank you so much for sharing all you do. You’re an inspiration and have given me hope to get started xD keep doing what you do! Much love

The little piglet is a cuter! And I mean that in an affectionate way
I love your attitude about living small and also "living large" at the same time. Great tips too!
No sugar coating just straight up. Thanks.

I got a 3 watt 240 lumen LED lamp. It was 6 bucks at wal mart. It's awesome. Perfect amount of light
Totally love all your music choices and like your sense of humor. (guess that's why you're a DJ).
I think it looks fabulous! In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter about what everyone else thinks because they do not live in your van, you do. Happy trails man!
the best van conversion ever, u really don't have to convert anything 😂😂😂

"You've come a long way baby"! Especially giving up coloring the stache. Fun watching some of your older work (like this one) when you first started vanlife. :-)
Playing party music while the house burned is hilarious ..... hopefully no one was hurt.
* house music 😳😐. Ye I hope no one was hurt, looked a serious one 🙏
Love the new toys and like the concept of building out as you need to.
I live my life through you. Love the videos so far. Binge watching… apparently I have a long way to go.

Another Great Video❣️🚌🐾
So Much positive vibe from your video bro 👏👏👏
Hey there..love your videos ! There isn't one right way to do this lifestyle. You're right..the most important thing is to get in the van !
Another helpful video and still you just make me laugh! I am going van shopping this week and you have become my number one go-to videos! I love the whole vibe you have!
Love the show , from Texas ....Keep up the good job.
I like your process in building a multipurpose van. You can camp out or empty out: haul bicycles, move furniture, or haul garbage to the dump. This is not a permanent conversion.
thank you brother enjoy your day give disco a big hug for me lol :) I like that dogg
Really love your simple approach and positive attitude. So refreshing and inspiring! I'm so glad I stumbled across this channel! Keep on thriving! 🙏🙌💛
You're the dude! Learned a lot about putting a van together from the other vid. Thanks.
You're Awesome!! Thanks for your awesome videos!
that new desk is PERFECT!
Good channel. Can't wait to get a van. :)
By the way your 'process' totally motivated me. You don't need to explain yourself. Let the sceptics simmer down 😄
I don't understand haters. If you don't like it don't watch! Move on! 😏
You now have subscriber 2001 :)
Thank you sir. Very stoked I stumbled onto these vids!
i love your ideas they work grate. like the idea thatevery thing can come out thats cool thanks
Mister Chrome this is Viking van man that's so funny I bought the exact same table cool
Just sit in front of the bank in your cargo van 😂
Awesome seeing your ideas. Thanks..
Great tips. Really like your message to not let details stop you from getting started. It should not be overwhelming worried about solar and water and all that. Just get out there.
I've been wanting to get an RV for a long time now that I've watched your channel I think this is a better way to go
As soon as I find the van I'm going to build as I go as well that was always the plan and now that I'm homeless it's the only option lol thanks for ur videos man ur giving me inspiration finally seeing the life lived without a fancy start off build
My boy.....doing his thing! Thx for the vid, bro. Just an FYI.....when you speak, the volume is low, and when you dont speak and play the music......the music is WAY louder than when you speak. Keep doing your thing, and stay safe.
Love your puppy lol
The face only a daddy could love :-))))
Cheers ..
You continue to inspire me!!!!..... dang it now I need more stickers!!!! Stay weird. Love you!!! 💛🐕
Thanx for another great video lately I’ve been in a crap mood but ever since I stumbled across you’re account about a week or so ago...

Stay blessed and humble
VANCITY VANLIFE any time I really enjoy these videos there very positive and real
I've also watched so many van life type videos and they seem nice and all but like you said they scare you away from trying it out becouse they make it seem like you need to do all that build out and that's also the reason I myself havnt try to live in a van but after seeing how you live it makes me feel like doing it I want to travel and see allot more and I feel like a van life is the life for me
Great info thanks chap
Fantastic tunes and footage
I love your home, thanks for sharing.
