Some great advice for traveling with a pet. The best thing you said was “If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them.” The best way anyone could word it. I’m always really careful when driving with my moms dog 🐶. He has AC of course and even heated seats when it’s cold outside. Stay safe and healthy and be safe. Love to Disco!

You could always get a stroller (for small children). They fold up, fold out for more Disco naps, hold picnic supplies, drinks, bowls, and even beers. Disco may even look so cute and adorable in it. Just putting it out there. Grab it or leave it. Many people just throw them away. I'm sure if you ask about, someone may even have one to give you. How adorable would that be, Disco in a stroller!?
I've been living in my express 2500 extended with my shepherd/husky for 4.5 months so far. He's not as mellow as your dog! We go to the dog park every other day or more. I also trained him to run next to my bicycle. He does good waiting for me if we walk places and is well behaved if we go in the store. He misses throwing his plethora of toys around so I try to find space to frolic with him and play one on one. Thanks for posting this.
I think putting Disco in a "wagon and drag him" along is an excellent idea. He loves being with you and being unable to take long walks/hikes, the idea of a wagon of some sort is an excellent idea!

Check out garden sections at Lowes etc. They have garden wagons with air tires. But, you might be better off building a small cart that can be folded up, then just add the balloon tires. Really enjoy your videos.
I think it would be a great idea to get him a wagon. You both will benefit from it he's the perfect van dog low energy. You should probably get a couple of those goofy deflectors for your doors so that you can keep your windows open a little during the rain and get fresh air.
I used those black foam boards and some packing tape to permanently black out my conversion van windows. It insulates, blocks all light, helps with sound, and keeps condensation from forming. Amazing solution for a low budget!

Dollar stores often carry car windshield shades than will protect your dash and steering shell from gettingbto hot and reduce sundamage.you are right to make sure disco is safe because many dogs have been stolen from cars especially expensive breeds
Disco cracks me up with those snores! I have a shih tzu mix and a german shepherd. Both love walking and hiking. I almost wish they were as lazy as Disco sometimes! lol
You could also use "reflectix" for your windows.. (it reflects heat) though doesn't insulate against cold, and if you paint the outside black, it just looks like tinted windows. And, you can cut them a little short if you want Disco to have some light coming in. I use it in my van.. $25 for a huge roll. I also use it for insulation on my cups to keep drinks cold. You can insulate your cooler (on the outside) with it, as well.
I have a Carriage (like a baby Carriage) and she loves it plus on real hot days she can go shopping etc with me! Great Video! Thanks for the Rover app!

It would be hard to be in a van with a high-energy dog. Disco fits the bill! He is so cute! I never thought about that hot water bottle aspect of the dog, that would be a bonus.

Me and my gf travelled and slept 2 weeks in eastern canada ( New brunswick and nova scotia and some of the U.S) in a pontiac vibe with a 80pound boxer we were safe with the dog and hike a lot and really tired him out before doing stuff where we couldn't take him ( not for hours of course ) anyways love your channel you guys are awesome ✌
For the window covering being too short, you should just get a set of window vent visors for about $100, then you can leave the windows cracked a little...no one can see in and it keeps the air flowing...
