Im an aviation enthusiast, and my parents know that, today on my bday my parents got me discovery flight passes, after watching your vids for 7 months, im now going to be an aviator, thanks for being one of the people to inspire me
Happy Birthday and best wishes in your aviation endeavors!
Happy birthday and welcome to the sky.
Awesome! Back in '72 I opted to buy a car instead of taking flying lessons and have regretted it to this day.
I love that you recognise when you are approaching task saturation and focus on safety as always.
"I'm nearing task saturation here.."
That's the finest piece of airmanship I've seen on this channel. Know the aircraft, but more importantly know thyself.
I've been past that point to the load shedding stage, it wasn't pretty, and was almost fatal. Lesson learnt.
Great video, sublime airmanship.
holy cow - no kidding - helmet fire right here
This is why you Train to understand your own Task Saturation Level.
If Task Saturation Levels were taught as part of learning to drive a car, we might see fewer car accidents.
I have learned not to go past my comfort zone...Know your limits you might say...
It was an envelope expansion sortie. The flight as briefed was well within my limit's. Note "as briefed".
A FBW partial failure, with an unconventional aircraft and other factors that just kept piling on.
The aircraft doesn't care about your or my limits, at that point it just wants to kill you.
Both the above comments assume I had a choice, sometimes the situation chooses for you!
I'm not a pilot, and will never be one. But I really enjoy this channel and watching the flight process. 👍
Same here, ill never pilot--but I overcame my fear of flying watching P1D now for several yrs. Just love my new life being able to travel the globe without paralysis.
2 more trans-oceanics planned in next yr. Thx Gregg!
Best Aviation site on You Tube
I'm not a pilot either, missed my chance to learn how to fly for the military when in college due to an injury and have always had a void. But I chose my alternative which I love and excel at. I follow Greg as he is the pinnacle of a former Air-Force F16 fighter pilot who successfully went into the private sector and continued to fly.
Never say never, my friend.
@@TheBomo Sport or ultralight would probably work. I had a full retinal detachment and two intraocular implants and I maintain a commercial license.
The shortest flights are the busiest. Great job Greg!
I'm 52, a former Marine, never been a pilot but working on getting my private pilot's license. Then onto IFR rating, then multi-engine rating. Greg your videos are very inspiring. Much thanks!
Greg! It’s Anthony from the FBO at Poughkeepsie. Been waiting for this video. Awesome as always!!! Cool to see this finally :)
@ryan New York
@ryan yes it’s an airport north of NYC in the state of New York
Check it out on Google maps
@ryan 70nm due north of New York City. Right on the Hudson River. Cool little town.
"Is there any doubt we arrived?" 😂 Rough touchdown? 😆 God I love Greg!
Nice vid Greg.
As a 23 year Navy flyer I didn't miss the important lesson you stated almost in passing.
"Task Saturation" I've got to concentrate on flying". Valuable lesson in focusing on the important work and ignoring the fluff. Every pilot can learn from that. Thanks.
Very nice job.
Thank You for having us aboard. HAPPY HOLIDAY'S TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY!!! TAKE CARE.
Wow, ATC was busy! He earned his money, for sure.
I’m guessing that prior to Covid there would be more sectors open to share the workload. imho
Yeah ny controllers seem to be working 5-7 frequencies at times 🤦♀️
@@boostitupagain when I reviewed the video for editing, I was surprised by all the radio calls that went unanswered. Which merely means exactly what you said- They were working many Freqs at one time.
Uhgg daas ftkllKK
Welcome to Covid controlling. I work up to 10 freqs at ZID
Enjoyable flight Greg. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Greg for another great flight video and thank you for not filling it with advertisements (keeping it pure) , seasons greetings to you et al.
Thank God your back. You have been missed my friend!
44 years old... flew only twice in my life...I watched your video once and boy do I one to become a pilot.....never to late to follow a dream.....thank you

You just can't get enough of it and we enjoyed it very much as always.
Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us!
Great as always Greg! Thank you!
Enjoy the video and appreciate your putting it together. THANKS!!!
Sometimes you need a firm landing to ensure the passengers are awake.
The Premier must have the stiffest landing gear of all the small jets.
Thanks for taking us along on this trip. Stay healthy and safe.
Definitely busy in the cockpit you did great Greg and thank you for producing some wonderful flying videos I really do enjoy them a lot. Take care and stay safe
Steve

Greg it's so glad to see another video. You were the first channel of this type that I watched and I really look forward to your next video. I find them enjoyable and sometimes informative. Please continue making videos and making so many of us entertained.
Ahhh - beer time on a Friday and a new video from Greg - life is good!
Wonderful videos - feels like I'm in the right seat of that beautiful aircraft. I used to fly a Mooney - thought it was a great machine, but now spoiled having experienced your Premier! Thank you for the rides!

Cheers to All.. Happy New Year's!
Thank you and Merry Christmas to you!
Great piloting. Such patience.
Greg, I've been retired as D.O., 1 year now from a large 135 helicopter operation based at KPOU. As a fan of yours for many years now, I find it ironic that you finally made it up there after I was gone! I would have loved to take you out to lunch. Maybe sometime in the future our paths will cross. Happy Holidays! Rich
Welcome to Potown P1D! I call it home. Nice to see some familiar scenery on approach. Love your channel!
As a Former Marine, when we had to improvise, we always said "that's a trick I learned in the Air Force". :-)
Looks like some busy airspace! Great video!
Looks like they gave you the scenic route. Nice flight...enjoyed it. Thanks
Like this video. It really shows what happens in busy airspace and how you need to concentrate on flying the plane and listening to ATC. Good video Greg! Very instructional.
Welcome to Poughkeepsie! Never figured you’d get to this neck of the woods. Pretty much flew over my back yard.... Love the channel thanks for the videos!
Thanks great ride again !
Job well done!!
Love the speed of the coms !
Hi Greg am here in the Cayman islands ,I love your videos ,am a former firefighter here in the Caymans I just want to say I love the way you show the people how safe you fly especially to avoid bad weather and when your wife fly with you you try's to keep the ride is smooth as possible for her ,You are a great pilot.. love all your videos man . Fly safe.. God bless.. hey, a pastor from here ,he's pass on at 84 but he always used this term .Safe n Sound one more time Praise the Lord.. practice saying it .
Glad you like them!
Really enjoy flying with ya!!
Great visual approach in a challenging right downwind. Was convinced you were too tight, but slowed right down for a perfect landing. Pilot skills and great airplane! Xmas greetings from Sweden.
Having a rough week, but just got a little better. Thanks as always Mr. Greg!
Ditto.
Love the break out through the clouds.
enjoyed it...as always! Thanks!
Great video, as always, Greg.
Build that turbine time! 😆 Great video as usual P1D thanks for bringing me along with you and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Nicely done!
Great video. You brought back some fun memories flying into Dutchess.
I like your videos. I like the discipline of ATC communications. Stay safe.
Thx Greg that was great to see 🙂 That routing was a long flight for a short distance but thx for showing the map so I could visualise what you were taking about perfectly 👍🏻
Another good video. I hope you are going to continue the entertainment.
Safe travels, Merry Christmas, Gods speed. From King County WA. I pray you and your family have a healthy winter.
i don't know how i missed this; no notification, and i have the bell clicked.
Thanks Greg, 'tis always a pleasure being allowed to ride along with you.
Fly ON.
It warms the hart to see Philly again!
Well done Capt Happy Holidays
Great vid. Busy mission!
when my boy was small we used to go down to the back road and watch the pilots come in over the fence at PHL
It is nice to see some flying videos from that area! I spend a lot of time in that airspace in my early flying years. That is some mighty pretty terrain up there around Kingston and Poughkeepsie, especially during fall foliage season.
Way to Go! Fun stuff.
That was hard work!!!! I like the look of that airport you landed at. very neat and compact....
Another enjoyable flight!!
Thanks for taking me along. I don’t fly anymore, but this was exciting.
I did the first leg of my solo long Xc to POU, I love this place!!
I just found this channel for the first time today, all I have to say is Awesome. So much fun and I learned so much. This is a completely new aircraft for me I've not come across it before, she is beautiful and I love the cockpit.
Please continue to show as much interaction with the instrumentation and controls as possible. Also if we could have some video of the outside that would be nice, I look forward to following you on many more frights now and in the future. Thank You.
Wow, I used to live up in philly
Thanks for the airport view, flew out of there alot
Glad to see you again, and not yielding to Mask-o-Mania! Looks like you lost some weight, too.
Cool cameras that I assume you pan & tilt in post. That one seems to hold the horizon, not stay level with the aircraft's deck. Technology ho! Nice artwork at the end, too. Good to have talented fans.
If I get a vote, I'd opt for seeing the startup every time, though narration's not necessary. I love the sound of the engines spooling up. Shutting down, too. Hope you'll consider it.
Thanks for the lift!
ATC here, this is my airspace most of the way. The filed route over SBJ is fine with us, you'll just never get it approved because SBJ is the north/south boundary with us and NY Tracon. They won't accept it due to departures. The reason you go as far west as V499 is because EWR and LGA arrivals cross parallel at 13,000 about 25 miles east of V499 and they need to be at 13,000 for airspace and procedure. Nice video 👊
Love this insightful information. Thank you for sharing!
@@gregmink absolutely. Let me know next time you are around PTW, FJC, ETX, FQM, MIP, etc and I'll try not to double your flight time 😉
@@UnableVFR I'll take you up on that offer!
Gregg, I've enjoyed seeing your posts and hope that some new ones might be coming soon. Thank you!
Great content, keep them coming!
I like your new sketch of your bird at the end. Looks Great.
Beautiful
As a controller we monitor more than 1 frequency at a time and when “it” hits the fan or the rush comes in boy does it sound like we’re auctioneers lol.
I always thought in an emergency you get a dedicated controller to get the plane on the ground.
SOLD!!! LoL...
