I'm not attacking you are your opinions but tell me if you was the guy in the car would you feel injustice was done to you or that you got what you deserved? They didn't deescalate but just the opposite. Some cops are just bad at their job due to personal issues,lack of respect, lack of training and so forth.

The guy wasn't resisting cursing or anything like that. All that tyrant had to do was put cuffs on him but instead he wanted to humiliate the man. I would sue them to and why didn't they tell him why they stop him when he asked. That no license plate that can be seen in his back window would have cleared things up.

      @@drewd7824 Clearly you did not watch the original video. the officer came with guns draw on a traffic stop for a missing licence on a new car that has the temp tag in the windows.
      These officer were wrong and should not have even stopped them.
      The fat officer need to go to the eye doctor if he can not see the tag in the window.
      then back to traffic school for a couple more weeks of training.

    The $1,000,000 lawsuit must be paid out of the police pension fund. This is one way to have some accountability for all the bad cops!

      The thin blue line would get a lot thinner if proceeds from lawsuits like that would come out of the police pension fund. Actually, that is a really great idea. Cops know who the bad apples are in their department. If their pensions were on the line, they would have a good reason to get rid of the bad actors.

      You have got to be kidding. You start doing that then no police officer is going to want to pull over anyone. No police officer is going to do anything that is slightly risky if it means they may lose their pension. This means a lot of good cops won't do their jobs anymore.

      It would need to go to federal level on constitutional rights being violated for qualified immunity to not be an issue, other than that qualified immunity is why they continue to get away with their unlawful behavior and the judge perpetuates this by moving it to someone else.

      @@chadhaire1711 A chase? It was 1.5 miles. At low speed. After turning on his emergency flasher to acknowledge the order. Going to a well lit area is reasonable and a reasonable officer would not object to it. A power tripping officer would freak out over it and would draw his gun because he felt dissed.

      1. Like I have said before, the problem of racial profiling & police abuse in America is because there is no real change at the top and no accountability from Police leaders... Crooked cops will remain crooked until the Senior leaders become accountable for the crimes that their front line officers commit...Firing a 'front-line' cop for his illegal actions is most likely a necessity, however this does not resolve the long standing problem since that vacant position will most likely be filled by another with the same mindset as the fired cop! Real change happens when the system changes AT THE TOP...

    I recall that a Cacausian woman drove two miles to a gas station when police flashed her because she heard of stories of fake police pulling women over. She was uncomfortable and wanted to be safe like the lieutenant.

      The chief state the military guy escalated the situation which he clearly did. The chief would have not escalated the situation and would have just followed directions. Thus the incident would have been over as soon as the police cleared the vehicle and worked out there was no threats. Not sure what you point is or what that has to do with your previous comment.

    I understand being a police officer can potentially be a high stress job. I was going to go into nursing until the teacher said if you can't stand the sight of blood or someone cutting their risks to leave.... I did!! If an officer can't handle his/her stress level on the job...leave...find another occupation!! My son is currently in U S Air force and was harrassed by police every time he came home from FL to TX....no tickets....just DWB(Driving While Black)

      @brix broox you can't know that. As fast as that officer escalated it likely would have been even worse on some dark deserted road. Listen to the video. Even in the brightly lit area the officer said "this is going to be a felony traffic stop". I am 53 years old and have heard police ALL over say if you don't feel safe, drive to a well lit, populated area. He didn't RACE away. He signaled turns and drove at a normal speed. The senior office has an authority complex and demands "RESPECT" and he's willing to commit assault to get it. And his chief agrees that's ok.

    What has only been covered once is that this tiny town's police make an extremely high number of traffic stops, and many many of those are out of towners. In other words, the police are making money for the city.
    The police chief, the mayor and city council must know this ... must have created this policy "behind closed doors."

    Since when do routine traffic stops require suspects to be on the ground and pepper sprayed? If it's a simple traffic stop, there's no harm in INFORMING THE SUSPECT what they did wrong, instead of overreacting and having a prepubescent powertrip with your superhero utility belt, spray, and tiny pistol.
    Because enforcing your will over other humans with guns drawn is easier than enforcing the law in a civil manner.

      @@vladgaming6285 He did NOT flee , he put on his hazard lights and slowly drove to the first lighted place for safety . His safety and theirs . He had his gun on the seat beside him , that is why he was sacred to move or open his door or even undo his seatbelt. There is absolutely NO excuse for the cops jumping out , guns drawn , screaming absolute ignorance and conflicting orders to boot , spraying the man in the face more than once , taking him to the ground or cuffing him . There was NO reason to pull him over , he had done NOTHING wrong . His temp tag was in the back window where it is supposed to be . Had the young cop been even slightly observant or even bothered to look first , he would have seen it . The fact that before he even started towards the SUV , he jumped out drew his gun and actually had the ignorance to yell "Your fixing to ride the lightening son " when he was asked what was happening is absolutely sickening , horrifying and appalling . The fact that the so called chief not only stood behind these 2 POS but actually outright lied making up some BS story about what the officer "really meant" when he said that is just despicable . They ALL should be fired and their pensions taken and put towards the amount of the lawsuit . SMFH

    On the full 30 minute video they found his G.I. Army green service weapon holstered in the driver's door pocket and ran the serial # without asking his permission to search the vehicle. They asked do you have a weapon and he said yes its right there. Rookie unholsters gun and calls serial # in to dispatch.

    When they pushed that elderly man down last summer, not one of them stopped to check on him. He had blood coming out his ears and they could've cared less. Then they lied all through the report about what took place, unaware or just didn't care about the cameras. When 2 of the tyrants got fired, 57 of them quit the tactical team too. As if they had been treated unjustly and there shouldn't have been an any consequences. That told the entire story of how things really work around there. I say the other 57 should have been fired too. They were demons and the elderly man was surrounded by angels. These no good Leo believe they are the only ones who deserve to make it home at the end of the night to the families. I thank God he survived 🙏 because they way they didn't want to render aid. Came across as if they wanted the truth to die with him. SMH

    A police chief named Riddle and I venture his defence of his men must be an Enigma? This whole Windsor detachment needs to be audited from the top down. The rookie Crocker was trying his best to show he belonged and did in fact showed some empathy towards the victim after he was pepper-sprayed. But he blew it when he too started to manhandle him and forced him to the ground.

      The Mayor, but also the Windsor AG... already wrote letters to both them, the governor, both his and my congress people, Harris, Biden and the Sergeon General (because the Lt is a medic in the national guard and I didn't want him to get kicked out the Army and thought his boss needs to know where the court of public opinion sat on this, and that his actions appeared to me, as a veteran, to be very calm, appropriate, and commendable.) I will write them ALL again this weekend too, and I hope more people will join me!!!

      @@2186kmr Does Windsor have a mayor? Their website only lists a town manager, appointed by the town council to be the executive. Good luck on your endeavor, however, it appears the "wheels of justice" are already turning on this. It should be noted that in his January report, the police chief claimed that the Lt. was 'obstructing justice" although he was never charged. Clearly, the chief intended to poo-poo this until the lawsuit occurred. He should pay the price too for not being truthful to his boss, the town manager.

    The driver didn't put the temporary license plate on the back window of his brand new car, but the seller who should know better. Therefor, once it was made clear that there was a valid license plate, escalation of a non existent traffic violation was unnecessary. The chief of police deserves to be fired if he sees any fault in the driver's behavior.

    The commanding general of the base where the lieutenant is assigned should put the entire town of Windsor OFF LIMITS. Among other things it would mean that no service member or a member of their family can do any business in the town - not even buy a bottle of soda in a Windsor convenience store. They would not be able to rent an apartment and must vacate any property that they were renting. Once every business in the town looses all those customers, they will have the police chief kicked out of his job. Base commanders have used similar tactics at bases I was stationed at during my Army career, such as Fort Polk, Louisiana and Fort Hood, Texas.

      @gregory hatton Actually, I have seen it done more than once in my 27 years in the Army. The longest I saw an "OFF LIMITS" order need to be imposed was 2 weeks and the town changed what had caused the "OFF LIMITS" order. A barber in Leesville, Louisiana refused to cut a Black soldier's hair. After two weeks of "OFF LIMITS" being in effect, the town revoked the barber's business license and shut his barber shop down, The General then revoked the "OFF LIMITS" order and things calmed down.

      @joe clark 1976 at Fort Polk and the racist barber. 1975 at Fort Hood. At Fort Hood, the Commanding General put Killen, Texas on "Off Limits" when it was discovered that there were Killeen cops writing speeding tickets for driving 31 MPH in a 30 MPH zone and only on cars that had a Fort Hood sticker on them. Within a week the cops were fired and the "Off Limits" order cancelled.

    when I was in the military and one of the soldiers was treated like that Lt. was, the commander would put the town of limits, require all single soldiers to move back on base, all married soldiers to restrict off base travel to and from work ONLY and made off base purchases illegal and boycott the town until further notice. after about two months of very serious financial loss to the local community, there was a big change in how soldiers and everyone else on how the police treated everybody. the Chief was fired, wholesale changes were made in how people were treated. any time a soldier was stopped, the post commander would send the MPs to investigate. every time police abuse was suspected, the town would be placed off-limits again. the post commander would also institute a regular inspection of vehicles to ensure there was no reason for the police to stop soldiers off base. soldiers who caused trouble off base were restricted to base for up to 30 days for misconduct. the economic impact to the local communities is so great that the city manager HAD to act or the city would go under for lack of tax revenue. maybe there should be an economic boycott of those towns and see how things go. cancel newspapers for siding with the police, buy nonperishable foods and gas in another town! take your business elsewhere whenever possible. if the black community and others are being systematically harassed by the police, then take your money elsewhere by whatever means you can. firstly, cancel the newspaper subscription immediately. if they support police tyranny, then let the police keep them afloat. nothing hurts like a peaceful protest that takes money out of a community.
