Whew, I have been eagerly waiting for another work of yours, and the time was worth it! This is excellent - I like very much how the sound wanes in and out, and how the percussion and the guitar gradually gains presence and then falls back again, just to leave traces and leave the song on a higher level of intensity. There's much drama in the arrangement without kitsch - VERY nice one, and also a great choice of song.
dizzyfugu Hi mate ! Glad to read you again. Thanks for your comment. I see you get exactly the expression I wanted to give throught this song. I mean in the "calm" I wanted to create something intimate, like a little single stage or a closed place. In opposition I wanted guitar parts with an expression of great spaces and freedom. A kind of big breaths in sadness you know ? That is the way I wanted to cover this song. This song was pretty long to comme because ... hum I just became a father and my little kid take me a lot of time. I gave up "Something To Do" for a while. It should be the next one but it wasn't now. I don't know why... Just before starting this cover I bought an Universal Audio LA610. It is a great vacuum tube préampli/compressor. In this song I used it for the guitar parts. It gave good dynamics. Anyway thanks again for this comment and for sticking to my work. See U soon. Thierry L
Thierry L It's a verý nice work - and offers (at least to me) more than just being a cover. There's some original element that you added, and that makes it a "good piece" to me. Well done! :D
Masterpiece!
my headphones on my ears and let me say this is very good !
