I wish I had someone to sit down and talk about the destructive force of sound known as the metal with. Everyone in my area listens to rap or shitty pop, and the ones who claim they listen to metal only listen to bands like Bring me the Horizon and Sleeping with Sirens. This video is a perfect representation of how society's mindset towards metal is.

TopKek I had friends that got me into that stuff. I'm only a year into liking EDM but I've discovered lots of great stuff. I have also found, many of these people are metalheads too, take people like Excision, Varien, Skrillex, xKore, KRAM, Code: Pandorum, Trampa, etc.
