Just a hint. Next time measure out 2 cups from a 20 oz container of mustard and 4 ozs are left. This is the first time I have seen anyone make mustard. Will definitely have to make this recipe. Thank you for sharing.

I'm old enough to remember when mustard came in glass jars with screw lids. At that time , I think French's was the top brand. I also remember my Papa smearing mustard plaster on his chest.
I can attest to jalapeño burning the fire out of you, I had been cutting them up for cornbread then washed my hands several times, and later that evening rubbed my eye thought I was going blind it burnt so bad guess it was underneath my fingernail! How beautiful that jalapeño mustard looked!🫶🙏
I've never had this, but I'm sure I'd love it. One of my favorite things to do when I go to old fashioned general stores is to look at and taste the various "sauces". This would fit in very well at one of those.

So it blisters your skin so what do you think it does to your stomach and bowels. My hubby loved hot spicy foods and ate several kinds on a daily basis and ended in in the hospital after bleeding from the rectum. Be careful folks.

I just made this & it’s very salty??? Not spicy at all. I added Raspberry juice instead of water. I have paid $23. For a tiny jar of raspberry mustard and I added mustard seeds too.
@@inthekitchenwithtallifaye4724 Don’t know what could have happened because the raspberries were frozen and I just used the juice of them. 1/4c salt???
@@Straderjayne I’m so sorry it didn’t work out … We have never had any problem with the mixture of 1/4 c salt to 4c of sugar ratio.. I’ve never put raspberry in it so I don’t know how that works… Again I’m really sorry, I wish it would have turned out to your liking because we enjoy it so much.

If you look in the canning isle, they should have these big pots… they will have a grating in the bottom especially for canning 😊
