  • This brand new feature (Beta) is now available in the PHEV Watchdog. You can now get all the data while the car is charging.
    Also, heaps of Ponies in this episode, so better get your boots on...

    You can have also have the remain time on the dash during all the charging process. Even with the car closed doors.

      I could not figure out what triggers this. Sometime it shows it permanent sometimes it doesn't. What's the secret?

      unplugged EV it's pretty simple, just reconnect the power from your EVSE.
      I've program my wallbox to do that feature and now I have the remain time always on the dash.

      Telmo Azevedo so you cut the power after a minute for a minute?

    • @TelmoAzevedoPT
      @TelmoAzevedoPT 6 лет назад +2

      No, just disconnect and connect again. A message will display saying charge has stopped and the timer will remain fixed.
      I'm using that tweak for 3y now.

    Hi Andy, how did you get the new version of the dog? I can only find the same 0.8.2 version on the webpage.

      Daniel is slowly rolling the new version out to test server performance and database stability. It will come eventually... You also need to have made a donation before a certain date last year to be at the forefront of new versions.

    If you leave a mobile phone with a remote access software, you can have the data from the PHEV Watchdog over the web?

    • @unpluggedEV
      @unpluggedEV  6 лет назад

      Yes, that should actually work. I have also Wifi access in my studio to connect this mobile phone. Great idea!

    WatchDog v9.02 sounds great.
    Great job Daniel, thank you.
    Andy, does this version show the 12v battery voltage?

    • @unpluggedEV
      @unpluggedEV  6 лет назад +1

      Yes, it does. I've forgotten to mention that. Good pick up, Andre!
      It is in the first screen after I connected the app under BMU voltage -> ruclips.net/video/m5F_2KnCHLY/видео.htmlm13s

      unplugged EV yes saw it uder BMU. I wonder if the current (3:30) of .5A is for the 12V system and not the Main Battery System.
      I noticed a bit later ut changed to 1.8kw. Found that kind of weird

    • @unpluggedEV

      It shows the charging power. The EVS was ert to 10A (2.25kW) but the Dog showed only 5A (instead of 9A on the EVSE) and registered only 1.8kW charging power instead of the true 2.25kW. By tapping on the value you can change the display from A to kW.

    how do you retrieve the wifi password for the remote app if the card is missing?

    • @unpluggedEV
      @unpluggedEV  3 года назад

      I think you have to contact a dealer. They can somehow get it through the VIN number of the vehicle.

    Hello Daniel. I just bought a used Outlander PHEV with 220 thousands kilometers (after thoroughly testing the EV range of the used accu)! I plan to test you watchdog app. Reg. the battery map- is there any menu where I can also see the cell values instead of the color rectangles? Is there a special verbose/debug/log mode where I could read out these value? Thanks, Christian

      I've sent Daniel an email with a link to your post. He may respond to this later...
      (Du kannst ihm auch selbst eine Email schreiben, die Adresse findest du auf der PHEV Watchdog Webseite)

      Hi. From the Cells voltage map you can tap any cell and it's voltage will be displayed. I've added the cell number to the map in v0.9.4, now it's easier to spot cells number with lowest voltages. Long term analysis of the cells voltage and temperature is available at the website.

    So I never seem to get the time remaining for charge. How do I get that, is it somewhere in settings?

    • @unpluggedEV
      @unpluggedEV  6 лет назад +2

      You need to disconnect/reconnect while charging. The time on the dashboard will then remain for that charging cycle. What I just did last night, plugged in the car and waited 5s then pressed the trigger at the plug again for a few seconds and released again. That kept the charging time on the dash...
