Very concise and helpful instructions. My Canon all in one printer just died and I was deciding if I’d purchase another inkjet or dive into the tank printers. Thanks
Hi, just got this new printer also, loving the quick ink refill and i LOVE the ink windows that help with ink level viewing. Can the empty ink bottles be recycled or do we just trash them? Thanks.
Hey Brandon! Love your channel! We just installed our G6020 and even though the first prints are in color, the ink tubes for color are not filling whereas the black tube is filled. Any suggestions would be very appreciated!
It's amazing that Canon's own "instructional" videos and manual that came with the printer are so inept at conveying this basic, yet crucial info. Also, for $250-, you'd think the tiny display window would be backlit. It's damn near impossible to read without busting out the flashlight.
How easy is it to refill tanks with third party inks? Is it as straightforward as jamming a needle and syringe into the fill port or does Canon have some trickery that only works with their bottles?
I've been getting "low ink refill or else" messages for over a year, but I've ignored them because I had so much ink left. Now I'm down to about 1/4 of each color, WAY above the "minimum" line with the triangle. But after perfect printing through yesterday, today the magenta didn't print and the blue was faint. So I bought new bottles. BUT, if I just turn the bottles upside down and let them "auto" fill, will I spill ink all through the inside of the printer since each tank is only about 3/4 empty?
Oh YAH. I just bought and installed the G6020. Unfortunately, I was presented with a 1270 Error code that Canon decided not to include in the Error Code Library. After several frustrating hours hunting for info, the error displayed is: OPERATION PANEL IS CLOSED. I learned all on my own, it will NOT print with the panel Closed or pushed flat on the front of the printer. It's quirkier, to say the least, in the Setup Menus. Setting up WiFi, if by now you see how difficult to understand, be sure to use the Manual WiFi setup. It took an hour to finally get WiFi working.
Does anyone know if those plugs for each color can come off so that I can put sublimation ink in it or do I have to use a syringe with a needle? Thanks in advance
A terrible printer. It cost me about $275 and only lasted for a couple of years. I didn't use it much, either. The wi-fi quit at the same time that the black ink wouldn't print. My internet company said it wasn't their fault and I guess it wasn't, since my smart t.v. and computer had no wireless issues. I ended up trying to run the maintenance utility but that didn't work, either. I have McCaffee anti-virus, so I think a Mega Tank printer is a piece of crap.
Try the deep maintenance, and try it twice. I could print black only for 6 months because maintenance didn't work, but before junking the printer I ran deep maintenance, then did it again, and it has been working fine again for half a year or so.
Thank you. Helpful for someone setting up for the first time.
Great to hear!

How does the compartment for the print head refills come out
The print heads are not in the center. How do I access them or make them move over?
I show how to do that in this video, ruclips.net/video/du2QGijhbYY/видео.html
Hi good day. Where can I get a print head replacement? I'm looking for both the black and colour.
Instructive narration WITH visuals step by step? Mind… Blown… Well made my man 😎👍. Thank you
Hey Brandon, how do you like this printer so far? Pros? Cons?
In a years time, I guess he doesn't want to tell you.,
Are there generic refillable bottles for this, to use general/generic bulk ink?
Yes check the links in my description.
The bottles have a seal over the opening. How do you remove the seals? I just can't pry them off.
They pop open upon install.

Awesome! It depends on where you live, some places may want you to recycle ink cartridges, check with your local township.

Hi, thank you! Yes try lightly squeezing the bottle to allow the ink down.

lol xD i see why... or i wish they made it premium enough for a touch screen....
How can i empty the tanks as i put sublimation ink in them, but didn't installed the printer heads
Thank you so much for your help. The instructions and video were great. It was simple and I appreciated your approach! Nell from Maine
Glad it helped!

The refill tanks should be made to fit the printer nozzle ink compartment.
@@BestPrinters So you're saying people are limited to genuine Canon ink bottles? That stinks.
@@earthboundmisfit79 If they couldn't force you to buy their replacement ink, then their printers would cost $800 instead of $250.
After watching again, it seems the print head ink holders move over automatically when you raise the cover. Mine is not doing that.
Nicely done!
Thank you! Cheers!
How do u empty ink reservoir..I am trying to replace pigment black ink with dye based black ink.

I forgot how to do it, it has been so long.
do i can use other ink that canon ink for this printer?
Yes remanufactured ink for this printer is fine.
The printer head is coming empty can I used that for edibles print cake
Yes.
Question my printer is printer light I have been searching for a way to darken the printed pages.
can you replace the tanks?
No, at least not that I am aware of.
@@BestPrinters Thank you
Amazing printer!
The bottle and receptor each have notches to line up. Do they or one of them
come off? It’s the gray ink that I’m having trouble with.
No they dont come off, you may want to use a needle syring to install the ink if you are still having trouble.
Question.... The print head already came with ink???? or they come empty?
Empty, of course.
The print heads are empty?

Sorry about that!

use an empty canon ink bottle for your sublimation ink .
Do all the ink come with the printer
Yes
@@BestPrinters Yes, 1 of each color + 3 black. I'm 2 1/2 years into my G6020 and only now having to refill the inks for the first time.
So I don't need to keep all of these empty bottles on my desk. Eureka!!!!!!!! 3:00
Video is fine, however I will pass on the bottle refills. They have the potential of becoming way to messy
do i need to buy the printheads every time i change the ink?
No

Never had another printer since I was a boy, I forgot it uses ink. and I forgot how to add it.
