What a JACKED UP printer. This thing constantly has to cycle, Hickup, and fart. What a F'n annoying printer. You just can't print one sheet without it doing some type of cycliing noise, that goes on for a good 5 minutes. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER.
I bought the Canon Pixma G4210 super tanker for $330 in 2018. Very expensive for the time but tired of ink cartridges being dry even if I didn't print anything. I only do moderate printing. As of November 2023 I have yet to buy ink. Still using the ink bottles that came with it. Good printer but tends to lose wifi if you don't use it at least once a week, so I recently bought a 14' printer cord, which I hope means I don't have to go thru setup every time I want to print, which is about a couple times a month. I'd suggest not installing the Image Garden software, it's a mess.
The basic problem with Canon inkjets has always been that they use bubble-jet technology which requires ink that boils rapidly. I have owned Canon and Epson printers and the heads on Canon always failed first. Software was also a problem. Frustrating when your printer churns out blank pages!
This is what's happening to mine. I bought a prixma and when the ink ran out it was cheaper to buy a whole new printer... so I figured a backup also. Both are junk. One wont respond and the other is like yours, pushes out blank pages. I think im venturing away from Canon for now.
Great video. Any comments on the quality of the software? I'm fed up with my HP printer due to the "HP Smart" software being trash. I'm looking to buy another brand but want to make sure the software is high quality.
I absolutely love the way this printer prints photos on photo paper. The best print I've ever had. Today it started to have missing lines so I ran the "clean print rollers" application. When it was completed I reloaded paper but it immediately went into error mode with no roller sound and a flashing yellow light. Also I get the 5B00 error code. What happened and how can I fix it? Do you have any suggestions? I'm so sad that it's not working now. Any help is appreciated.
Perhaps cover the G3260 and the Maxify GX6020/GX7020 in the future. Those are newer 2021 models that have the replaceable maintenance cartridge, so the ink absorber pad saturation issue is fixed. The G6020/G7020 are 2019 models without the maintenance cartridge. However, the GX6020/GX7020 are more than double the price of the G6020/G7020, so unless you really want color pigment ink, it's a ripoff for family use. Will Canon ever make a midrange replacement for the G6020/G7020? Who knows? The G3260 is intriguing with the maintenance cartridge but is otherwise an entry-level printer with no ADF/duplex/cassette/fax. The G620 is also worth a look because at $330 it is by far the cheapest 6-color supertank printer on the market. There's a lot of frills removed to get it priced that low (no ADF/duplex/cassette, poor display and scanner) but it's pretty much a min-max photo printer where everything is focused on the inks and print quality. The cheapest Epson 6-color supertank is $1000.
Your comment is more impressive to me than most videos I watch on these mega tanks. The biggest thing these videos should be mentioning is the fact that the g6020 and other models that you mentioned are useless after the ink waste area is full. Very very upsetting. Thank you for your comment. I personally appreciate it
It is NOT remanufactured ink - it IS compatible ink. I would love to get info on the cost/availability of the "waste ink pad/bottle" and how easy is it to replace as compared to Epson and HP. This seems to be an area of contention and there have been changes in the newer models. addendum: I recently found out the print heads are available as a separate maintenance item so if they don't respond well to a cleaning kit procedure , all is not lost .
@@BestPrinters i thought this channel aims to save us money... Just take the ink pad out and flush it with running water for at least 3 mins or until bo ink stains can be seen, then just dry the pad out.
@@reynaldjohncatriz All true, except the damn onboard "ink counter" will still think your unit has expired. I have yet to find a way to reset my counter after replacing the main absorber pads. The entire concept is a scam.

Good video I used to have a brother printer And I was paying out the nose for the ink cartridges until two years ago when I purchased a HP mega printer two years ago and I have not refilled the ink tank yet after two years some almost down to 70% which would have cost me a lot more I got with cartridges
I have the G3060 which isn't mentioned....3 years strong....weekly printing....still on the "starter" ink that came with it....Can print from my phone and other devises and has a pretty decent scanner....my only complaint is the LCD screen is small and not back lit....so it is hard to see....I'll stick to "OEM" ink.
I just pruchased the Epson ET-4800 printer at a $254 price tag on Amazon. Two days later I am returning it because it is freaking slow, and the ADF feeder will not copy multiple page documents, even when the featured is listed. When I try to copy form the ADF it always tell me to place the document on the glass scanner, which makes nose if you are using the ADF. Stay away from it. I am about to purchase the Canon Megatank GX2020 All-in-One. it's just a bit more expensive but seems to have more features, better speed, and after all, it is a Canon! Actuall my old Pixma Canon All in one inkjet printer broke (I broke the front panel while I was trying to lif it up), so I ended purchasing the Epson ET-4800, and now I am about to go back to my first love).
I bought a mega tank printer. Before lone I got messages that my absorbent pads were full. They were saturated when I removed them which makes me wonder where all this ink came from. Now I am waiting for replacement pads then they tell me it has to go to service centre to have the code put in so I can use it. To me this is not worth the extra money.. I only got about two years out of this printer. Now am considering going back to cartridges
Hey Hi. At no point have you mentioned this Canon printer will become junk by design. I have one on my desk that has shut down due to a 'counter' being reached. It reports 'ink absorber full (error 5B00)' It still has ink, It should be repairable, but apparently it's not. The manual describes the issue as 5B00 Cause Printer error has occurred. What to Do Contact your nearest Canon service center to request a repair. The error is the sponge in the back (which is reported not replaceable) is full of ink. Canon online says the printer requires replacement ..!! A built in redundancy. I have reset the counter with thanks to the web, but yet to resolve the inky sponge in back of this G3600.
Do you by chance have an older model? Canon changed the system a couple years ago to make the sponge (maintenance cartridge) replaceable by the owner and it will automatically reset the counter as well.
Grabbed a "broken" canon PIXMA g3260 in mercari for $30. Pretty aure the printheads need cleaning/replacing, maybe the ink sponge also needs cleaning/replacing. All in all, pretty happy
@@BestPrinters so I got the printer, tried to clean the printheads and.....the ink int come out the bottom like...at all? Try to push the solution in and nothing. It builds up pressure and pushes back the plunger. Do you have any advice?
@@Cyrilcynder1 Try soaking the cartridge (print head) in warm (distilled water) several times. Then using a syringe and tube, again use warm distilled water and slowly feed into the top feed ports. You may have to do several or many times because the ink in your print heads are definitely dried out. Be aware it's going to take some time and several repeats. Since the nozzles at the bottom of the printhead are dried out and clogged this is where I would focus the most to start. Your other choice is to purchase new printheads if you don't have time to do the full cleaning which could be lengthy.
If we are making full page color prints about how many sheets can we actually print from each ink bottle set? thank you for your help! I print 1500 pages a month of flyers and it's costing me $650 a month looking for a better option. I am sure the 7700 is if you only cover a specific amount of the page.
You know that's a really good question I would advise you to look at the spec sheet. You can find it on Google it's gonna be a PDF that tells you how much printing you can do per ink bottle. That information should be online for access.
My Canon iP4820 printer just died after nearly 15 years, never had an issue with it. It was a printer that only printed which is all that I need. Does Canon make a printer that only prints? I don't care about the wireless or printers that copy and fax. Thanks.
My question is does Canon sucker you in to paying for a reset on your printer like Epson does does the Canon have a waste tank like Epson does does Canon have a reset button thank you please answer
Thanx for the video. I have a Canon TS8160 which I mainly use for printing CDs and DVDs .l Yes we still use them. I know that Epson have disk printers in their top end range but haven't found any Canons yet.
Bought a Megatank printer G3202. I can not get it to print from my iphone in Airprint. It will not pick up my iphone. I can print a picture though the app though. Little frustrated with the printer. I just bought the printer! I am thinking about returning it.
Exactly why I only use a LAN connection for my printing, also I don't like having my documents floating through the air on semi-protected wifi signal which can be hacked. The wireless feature has been an issue ever since it was added to printers. For some it's very reliable but in my experience it's great until it doesn't work and there ARE many times it doesn't work! Then you get stuck in quicksand trying to re-configure everything, when it works. Convenient many times but also a huge hassle. And this goes for ALL of them.
We don't all think alike. Your 20 years of experience gets you way up on the learning curve. The printer guy helped me tremendously to decide on the printer I want to buy. So He served a purpose for helping people that know nothing about printers, like me.
Thats not the problem with them. Its that with cartridges the print head IS the cartridge so the ink doesnt have to travel through tube that can dry out. Doesnt matter if you refill them yourself because you are just wasting ink and when the ink counter is tripped the printer is software disable. Believe me the companies thought of everything to scam you.
@@edwelndiobel1567 Well said and very true! It's designed to be that way. Now what they've since lost in cartridge profits is made up in component parts that they designed purposely to have a certain lifespan. It's called MEASURED OBSOLENCE and is common these days, especially through software and design. Apple was caught doing this with their cellphone batteries! It should be highly illegal but no one in the consumer protection federal regulation agencies bats an eye at this practice. Add to it, those said agencies are purposely understaffed as well.
Very Informative.. I have a question.. I have a Pixma G3202, I bought it day's after they first came out.. For almost a year I had -0- issues with it.. I may do 50 pages or less of prints a month on it.. I used Canon ink refill's. Now, about 3 weeks ago I noticed it was not printing the red, then the yellow stopped even though it was nearly full of those inks, I seen there was a lot of air in the line, so I purged it by pressing and holding the stop button until the caution light blinked 5X, I also has to remove and replace the ink sponges in the back of the printer where it dumped the purged ink.. I also had to remove and clean the cartridges Placed them on a wet paper towel, used a syringe to blow the ink out, re-purged so they were filled back up with ink.. Now my problem is, the red & yellow still does not print well, doing a test print also shows that.. I have tried to find a video to show me what to do, cause I am at a loss to figure it out, I am very tech astute with computers, printers & most electronics.. If you have an answer or have a video or know of one, please let me know.. I find your video's very helpful & educational.. Thank you for sharing..

hi, i like the way you explain. my question is, what is the different between Canon G7020 and MAXIFY GX7021 Wireless MegaTank All-in-One Printer? please let me know
So I just bought the Canon 6020 yesterday. Do you think I'll have issues with the ink absorbent pads? Like, do you know if Canon has fixed that at all recently?
Sorry -- I wish you hadn't, and you will soon wish you hadn't. These are total junk. The problem has not been fixed. I am about to throw mine in the ewaste recycle.
@@johne6081 That's really unfortunate... I was hoping it wouldn't be that big of an issue but now I'm starting to have a lot of regret. Are there any ink tank printers you personally recommend I check out?
@@DaiKozui I wish I knew. I believe rather strongly that the fundamental problem with all ink jet printers is that the ink clogs up when used only intermittently. The advantage of those detested cartridges is that replacing the cartridge often helps. My wife is an artist who would love to be able to print high quality color prints and postcards at home, but for us it is cheaper and more environmentally sound to visit the local FedEx Office and pay for prints there. Laser jet printers simply cannot (yet) compete with inkjets for print quality, particularly in color. At home we have a cheap (sub $150) HP laserjet monochrome printer for things like print-at-home tickets and documents, and we are delighted with it. Simple, reliable, no ink jams, doesn't mind sitting idle for a month at a time. Bottom line: inkjets are for people who print several times per week, and this advice goes double for megatanks. Intermittent users are going to experience ink clogs, and the problem is far worse with a megatank.
Currently, I'm using a Canon TS9520 multifunction primter. What can you recommend, Canon-wise, that has ADF, scanner, etc., AND is also a Mega Tank printer?
Regarding the Printhead Cleaning KIt, on the Amazon page there are several photos of the kit being used. Are those photos showing different print heads being cleaned by using different pieces of your kit? Second question. I have just purchased a CISS for my old Canon PIXMA Pro 9000. (Not that long ago it printed a perfect photo using the cartridges - maybe a couple of months) When doing the Nozzle Check using the CISS the printout of the 8 colours is in two groups, 1 and 2. Group 1 has 5 colours in a rectangular shape going from left to right and measuring 50mm long x 15mm thick which are all ok. Group 2 has 3 colours but they measure only 7.5mm thick and occupy the top half of the "band" that presumably should read 15mm thick as is shown in group 1. These colours are Cyan, Magenta and Yellow in that order from top to bottom. Is this a print head problem? And how is it that these three colours print only exactly the top half of the band? The 7.5mm? I find this very strange. If it is a printhead problem causing this then what are the odds that the three colours are shown only in the top half of the 'band' and the bottom half is blank paper? When printing a photo it is a mess in that there is a band on the LH side of the photo measuring 10mm and another on the RH side of the photo measuring 13mm that appear to have the correct colours. But in between the 270mm is very pale and clearly wrong. There are also faint lines going up and down on the print. Any ideas please? Yes, I will be taking it to the local Printer/cartridge shop to get their opinion too ASAP. The suppliers of the CISS have been very helpful and I am awaiting their response to my email too but it might just be a printhead problem.
The supplier is saying it is a faulty print head problem but it printed ok before with the ordinary cartridges. Looks like a problem with the replacement cartridges fitted to the CISS to me.
@@Stalled-wm3qd Be aware another person said they tried the same thing (adding CISS option) and Canon disabled it on their system. It may still show up but not be able to work. not saying it IS your issue but could be a possibility.
Most canon mega tank printers are basically just Cartridge printers. The only added those fancy tanks ang hoses. The cartridge is exactly the print head. In contrast, Brother printers are not cartridge printers. Print heads are inside a print head assembly. It is easier and much cheaper to replace the print head of canon than brother printers. Most people need a printer that 'just works'. In PH, we buy the cheapest canon ink cartridge printer around PhP2000 (50USD) and a DIY ink tank conversion kit for PhP600 (12USD). you just need to watch some youtube tutorials and ..... voila. You now have a megatank printer
Thats what I did but you know what happened? Canon disabled the connection! Now the software refuses to print! It was working fine with a full cartridge. But now its software bricked. Nothing wrong with it just software disabled by Canon.
Hello Printer Guy my canon Pixma Mg 5320 has just died I am looking for a new canon similar to what I had what will you recommend today with the canon products all in one I have. My work low on the canon is very low. Thank You
Hi, been watching a few of your videos, like them really well. I am looking at replacing my hp Officejet Pro 8600 Printer, works fine, just tired of paying $80 for new ink. So, I'm thinking of buying a printer that uses bottled ink, to get more pages for my money from the ink. I thought I was convinced that I might buy the Epson ET-3850 model. And although I try not to let reviews influence me all the time, several people stated in their reviews they were not happy with the quality of the copies themselves. Some said they were having a hard time with the feeder as well. Maybe I shouldn't pay attention to that. ?? The other model I'm considering is the Canon G7020 model printer. I know you once said that you felt the Epson's just seemed to be better quality overall, yet it seems the quality of the copies produced by the G7020 seemed to be real good from most of the reviews I read. Sorry this is so long. Bottom line, in your opinion, do you have a preference between those two models you might buy? I think you make a lot of sense so I thought just another opinion would be good. Thanks for reading this. Regards, Jerry
Hi Jerry, the Canon G7020 is actually a much better model than the rest of the Canon Mega Tanks. I would say to go with your gut and reviews are very important, so I would go with the Canon G7020.
BTW, with a simple model, e.g the IP7250 - the ink sponge getting clogged is not such a big issue: You simply dip it in a bucket of water for several hours, then spill the water and dry it for a day in the sun - and then put it back in the printer. With these simple models, a factory reset is then enough to reset the chip. I don't know if it will work in the Tank, but it sure works with the cheap models. But in any case, I would not waste a dime on the Tank when I can get a Pixma that can be fitted with a CISS.
@@Bobrogers99 This was an old post (9 months old, to be exact). The printer worked fine for around 4 months but then my dad broke the cartridge holder by mistake, so we've purchased another Pixma (IP7250) and this one's ink sponge still didn't have time to fill up. But yes, the previous one was operable after the procedure (with factory reset) for several months.
I have bought 2. I sold my first one and everything seemed fine with it when I sold it. But, the second one was supposed to be a better model, and it hasn't even lasted half as long as the one I sold. I am done with inkjets. I'm going back to color laser very soon. The one I have now is the pixma megatank 7020, and the one I sold was the 4010.
Susan.. thank you for sharing. Long story short I Brother all in one, I could not find WIndows 11(64 bit) drivers. Brother tech support is so bad ( poor). What I need id a duplex scanner/printer. If I can old is the 7020 (Model year release). Did you have any setup issues with scanning?
@@afveteran The 7020 turned out to be horrible. My first one lasted way longer. The 7020 stopped printing after just a few months. I bought a color laser and I love t. The toner is really expensive, but the high-capacity ones last pretty long. I didn't have any issues with the 7020 at all until it stopped printing. I mean it still ran, but not much showed up on the page, and it kept getting worse. The print quality was never that great on either of the mega tanks I had..the print quality on the color laser is way better. I didn't even try to sell it, I just gave it away and bought my color laser. As far as scanning goes, there were no issues that I can recall on either of them. I would not recommend the 7020 at all...but mine could have been just defective or something.
Personally Brandon and because of the excellent info you always provide, I have an Epson MegaTank printer today. I believe Epson MegaTank printers are better than Canon and HP. Hi I really need your advice on a Craft printer. One that prints 12 x 12 & has a back feeder. The problem with all ones recommended is they are sold out or discontinued in very short time frames, im also in Australia. All internet research yields failed searches. Help 💛
it’s not same ink quality at all, I tried different third party brands and colors are just not the same, I recommend the Canon original inks, price is not that much more and you won’t waste your money on watered down inks
I saw your review on canon printers and you said that they had the best performance. Based on that I decided to purchase the canon maxify gx7120 and I just installed it 2 hours ago, since then I am trying to print one color page and after 30 minutes waiting it printed 1/8 of the page. VERY FRUSTRATING! Now I will have to go through the hassle of returning it.
If I understand with the Tank technology (at least in Epson) the cartridge prints cold and therefore the head shouldn't bother us if you don't print a lot, as happens now with jetInk. Is this the same for Canon and HP?
Nope -- they clog if not used frequently. The only solution is to run a bunch of ink through to try to dissolve the clog, and then you have to deal with the ink usage counter, which renders the unit unusable when it reaches maximum count. Canon is singularly and disgustingly unhelpful with any advice regarding how to reset the damn counter. AVOID until they fix this problem!!!!!
@@hnia0 They're ALL prone to this. The only option would be Epson who allows you to change the overflow cartridge. Canon could have done this but didn't, a bit of consumer abuse on their part.
It depends on which model models you can replace the maintenance box. That may be one reason to go with Epson Epson definitely, you're able to change out the maintenance box.
@@BestPrinters True. Sadly, how quickly they fill up to me is very surprising. After less than a year AND having only printed less than 1,000 pages my print overflow box was filled in no time on my Epson XP-4200. The replacement isn't expensive ($12 - $15) but I would have to do this 1-2 per year every year for the life of the printer? And yes that was with exclusively OEM ink carts only.
Personally I own a Canon Pixma G4511. Don't buy. This printer is designed to fail after some time due to ink waste pads you cannot replace yourself. Regularly we have to initiate deep cleaing because the ink flow stops. The waste ink goed to de waste pads. When the waste pads are full, the printer stops working. There are many post about this issue by others.
These printer certainly need some problems to be fix via new mod's? when ever that will happen? The problem with the ink not reaching the printer head, so you need to suck the air out !!! Doing ink cleans causes the sponge in the back of the printer to fill up and then cause problems with printer will not work! full sponge replacement and still get same readings. The sponge idea is a real problem Canon need to get smarter with this one! maybe have a bottle it empties into because these printer use a lot of ink when doing a head clean! If I know all this before I would have stayed with the expensive cartages model and they also do a much better print quality to with way less problems.
Ink printer. Nahh i'll pass. I'll stick to laserjet. Am still using my trusty ole samsung scx-3405fw since 2007. Apart from crappy software support which no longer available the printer scanner still refused to die. Im switching to Canon MF645Cx laserjet. Toner won't dry up.
It's a conspiracy. I managed to reset the purge tank several times, the latest after a complete line cleaning purge to remove air bubbles (no yellow flowed). Yes, you must print a test pattern each day to prevent a nozzle cleaning cycle. This is BS. I will know when it's time to send this unit to landfill when I see a puddle of ink beneath the printer! My Canon Prograf 1000 uses inexpensive replacement purge tanks but the inks are a king's ransom! Another gotcha!
@@viincreations Continuous Ink Supply System. It's basically external ink tanks who are connected to the print head cartridges, via a flexible PTFE tube bundle. This means you do not need to worry anymore about ink. When the external tank is empty, you refill it.

I can't believe a channel named "Best Printers" is recommending 3rd party inks. I worked for canon about 20 years ago and it was clear at that time that they mastered print heads. It was also clear that ALL the defective print heads we saw were caused by 3rd party inks.... we never had an issue with OEM ink. Additionally, Canon had the best photo print quality (due to VERY low droplet sizes of 1 and 2 picoliter) and very reliable ADFs/paper feeders even though their printers often lagged behind the "cool" features offered on HP (card readers, big screens, cool designs). My advice as someone who ran a territory that sold hundreds of thousands of Canon inkjets... always use OEM ink! Especially with the very low cost per milliliter of these Megatank printers.
Once the ink overflow sponge gets filled, the entire printer shuts down, and that can happen after just a few months of use. So no, don't buy one, they are junk.
I will never buy another inkjet, but I don't know if a Canon color laser would suck or not. I an trying to decide which brand of affordable, color laser all in one or 3 in one is best for my needs and budget.
@@susanhopemason I got a monochrome HP laserjet for documents, and it has been a gem, but I need a color inkjet printer for my wife's artwork, because a color laser printer simply does not have the fine-grained resolution required.
@@johne6081 I have had a color laser before, and I loved it. I always hated the tiny cartridges that inkjets always had before the mega tanks came out. Because of the mega tanks, I decided to give inkjet a try because they are cheaper to buy. The first one was okay, it was a pixma 4010 or 4020...I can't remember exactly, and I sold it because I wanted one that I thought would be even better. The second one was the pixma 7020. My first one printed fine for a pretty good while, and was still printing when I sold it. But the second one had some kind of issue with the print heads, and it didn't even come close to printing as much as the first one, before the prints started fading out and it wouldn't print black at all. I had to change the color of the fonts to red or blue or purple to get it to print anything that you could see well enough to read. And, neither of my inkjets had very good resolution at all. The resolution was okay, but there were always visible lines running through every print. I just got a new color laser, and I agree that the resolution isn't quite up to professional quality, but it it still light-years better than either of my inkjets. The type is crisp and clean, and the photos are only a little off, but that could be partially due to the fact that I printed them on regular copy paper. They still look pretty good, though. I used to have a really large Pixma inkjet that was made strictly for photographs. I can't remember how the print quality of that printer was because it was more than 10 years ago, and I don't think I got to use it much because I couldn't afford the special photo paper. I lost it in storage. I am actually quite pleased with the color laser I just got. The prints actually look quite good. And, some of the higher end ones have even higher resolution. I think mine is about 600 by 600 if I remember correctly, but they come with resolution at least double that.
The Canon GX3020 is a GARBAGE printer. DO NOT BUY IT. I just wasted quadruple the amount of paper I wanted to use on a color print job, and only one page came out well-printed. The rest were smeared and discolored. Also, doing ANYTHING other than printing is a nightmare to figure out. This product SUCKS.
HP customer service stinks, only bought HP products for 30yrs. Looking for the Canon's best tank printer with the best resolution for photos and can handle 350gsm paper. Not much scanning required.
This is nonsense. After updates, this printer will destroy itself. Manufacturer server will identify the printer has 3rd party ink or not. Rip. Printer.
The fact that the G1200 doesn't use a phone connection makes me want to buy it. I don't know why anyone would want to use a phone when printing. Sounds like more work to me.
These things are junk, once the nasty sponge in the back fills with the "limited" amount of ink you are allowed to purge out of your ink jets it will basically be garbage. There are all kinds of videos on RUclips about this know issues with these printers. Laser printer are really the only long-lasting printers out there.
Canon is going bankrupt their products have gone downhill over the last 10 years and the TS6420 is the latest disgrace sell your stock and throw that printer in the trash and get a real one

I'd suggest not installing the Image Garden software, it's a mess.
regarding the current tanks models from epson, canon and hp, would you please consider doing a video comparing their photo print qualities?
The highest software in my opinion is Epson.
Me too I'm done with hp

Thanks for sharing.
thanks this helped me decide on the G3260
You can use this link, amzn.to/3EyBZuX to search up waste ink pad for any printer model.
The new ones have a cartridge that costs about $20ish that's still not bad compared to how long they could last.

This sounds the right type of printer for me. Before they made the ink cartridges so complicated I used to refill them myself.
Glad I could help you make your choice!
Good video I used to have a brother printer And I was paying out the nose for the ink cartridges until two years ago when I purchased a HP mega printer two years ago and I have not refilled the ink tank yet after two years some almost down to 70% which would have cost me a lot more I got with cartridges

Awesome!

Nice thank you for sharing. Sorry about the negative experience you had with the Epson Eco tank.
Yep, one scam for another.
Can you do a video on best card stock printers?? Budget/overall/professional etc.
Thanks for the video. Is the back tray the only way to feed these printers?
Each printer has a different way of feeding the paper. You're gonna have to check the specifications on the product detail page.

Hey Hi.
At no point have you mentioned this Canon printer will become junk by design. I have one on my desk that has shut down due to a 'counter' being reached. It reports 'ink absorber full (error 5B00)' It still has ink, It should be repairable, but apparently it's not. The manual describes the issue as
5B00
Cause
Printer error has occurred.
What to Do
Contact your nearest Canon service center to request a repair.
I had the same problem with the full songe. Had to buy another printer after about a year.Sadly, the one I had was highly rated here on youtube.
can be easily be reset with a sequence of button presses. replacement sponges are abiut 10 bucks. can also wash and reuse...but a bit messy
Grabbed a "broken" canon PIXMA g3260 in mercari for $30. Pretty aure the printheads need cleaning/replacing, maybe the ink sponge also needs cleaning/replacing. All in all, pretty happy
Great!
Picked up the G6020 today from amazon for 199.00 So guessing that's a good deal ? THANKS for the Video !! off to find a wireless setup guide :)
On your first question, yes for sure. On your second question I would say most likely yes also.

Instead of remanufactured ink just buy liquid ink refills and put it into the bottles you already have.
True!

@@johne6081
That's really unfortunate...
No no no no no
Currently, I'm using a Canon TS9520 multifunction primter. What can you recommend, Canon-wise, that has ADF, scanner, etc., AND is also a Mega Tank printer?
The 7020 is a good option, amzn.to/3j4BDTU
Regarding the Printhead Cleaning KIt, on the Amazon page there are several photos of the kit being used.
Are those photos showing different print heads being cleaned by using different pieces of your kit?
Second question. I have just purchased a CISS for my old Canon PIXMA Pro 9000.
(Not that long ago it printed a perfect photo using the cartridges - maybe a couple of months)
When doing the Nozzle Check using the CISS the printout of the 8 colours is in two groups, 1 and 2.
Yes to the first question, I am not sure about the rest.
@@BestPrinters Thanks. I might have to get one and see if it does the job for me.
In PH, we buy the cheapest canon ink cartridge printer around PhP2000 (50USD) and a DIY ink tank conversion kit for PhP600 (12USD). you just need to watch some youtube tutorials and ..... voila.
I would say to go with your gut and reviews are very important, so I would go with the Canon G7020.
does the canon printers print on CD and DVD?
Some do
BTW, with a simple model, e.g the IP7250 - the ink sponge getting clogged is not such a big issue: You simply dip it in a bucket of water for several hours, then spill the water and dry it for a day in the sun - and then put it back in the printer. With these simple models, a factory reset is then enough to reset the chip. I don't know if it will work in the Tank, but it sure works with the cheap models. But in any case, I would not waste a dime on the Tank when I can get a Pixma that can be fitted with a CISS.
Ciss?

Super,
Thank you, and do I use a specific sublimation ink by Canon or any company’s work?
Hi I really need your advice on a Craft printer. One that prints 12 x 12 & has a back feeder. The problem with all ones recommended is they are sold out or discontinued in very short time frames, im also in Australia. All internet research yields failed searches. Help 💛
Hi this video should help you, ruclips.net/video/pGAZin58VbU/видео.html
I though this one has the ink dipper that stops working after full
That happens over long period of time very long
where do you get the cleaning kit from in Australia
Sorry it is currently not available in Australia.
Another RUclipsr said the printer has a sponge in the back that is a horrible design flaw.
Yes but most printers have that sponge. I call it Sponge Bob
@@BestPrinters and is sponge bob easy to replace?
Does the ink dry up like an ink cartridge??
This is what I'm in doubt about.
Yes it can if left without printing for too long.
@@BestPrinters thanks
@@BestPrintersso what would you do if the ink dries out
@@zongsolomon4034 Flush it. ALL ink dries out eventually.
Yeah, what is the exchange rate of $300, into £ Sterling? Can you include that from now on please?
$300 ends up being 262 Pound Sterling.
Ever heard of Google? Because pressing buttons iz hard. 🙄
Wolfster001 I have the same printer and it's six and a half inches tall
Cool
it’s not same ink quality at all, I tried different third party brands and colors are just not the same, I recommend the Canon original inks, price is not that much more and you won’t waste your money on watered down inks
Hi Monica, the GX7120 is a great model. I can assure you, you purchased a faulty unit. Dont give up on Canon.
Hey John what printer would you recommend then
@@hnia0 They're ALL prone to this. The only option would be Epson who allows you to change the overflow cartridge. Canon could have done this but didn't, a bit of consumer abuse on their part.
Can it print good pictures
Yes
04:35 ink cartridges are already the print head. You dont put the cartridge on the print head.
Yes because it is a tank printer.
Great video
Thanks!
What about using for sublimation
Did you ever find out if it worked with sublimation?
Do not buy the g6020. Prints well until the waste ink is full and can NOT be replaced
Not if you want to print colour on plain paper. Very dull colours compared to my other printers
Wow
Have you test Canon GX6050 in photo ? .
Just to compare with Epson ET-3850.
Thanks
Not yet maybe later this year.
problem with this kind of systems.. you need to keep printing.. and weather is a factor
True
That applies to EVERY printer, unless you're using a laser-jet.
How's G6070 ?
Good
Ink printer.
Thanks for sharing
I would simply purchase a cheap Canon model which has a CISS for it on the web🙂.
Thanks for sharing!
What's a ciss ?
@@viincreations Continuous Ink Supply System. It's basically external ink tanks who are connected to the print head cartridges, via a flexible PTFE tube bundle. This means you do not need to worry anymore about ink. When the external tank is empty, you refill it.
Found this video after I bought one. Still have over half the original ink in the cartridges. Wish I would have seen the video before I bought this POS.
Have you actually used one of these, particularly if only monthly or so? No mention of the absorber pad issue? AVOID Canon megatank!!!!!
John thank you for the comment, I have only used them sparingly. I personally was not a big fan.
The idiot doesn't know some of the cheapest Canon Mega Tank printers have replaceable waste maintenance tanks, some also have replaceable print heads.
I paid 179 for mine.
Good deal!
Nope for me. Wireless doesn't work.
Yeah
Thanks!
Thank you!
My printer goes onto a shelf above my desk, I cannot find a front loading tank printer with front control buttons, I do not need auto feed and mobile phone. I use USB to my desktop
Can you help
I rather your white ink then canon
no. never
I can't believe a channel named "Best Printers" is recommending 3rd party inks.
Welcome to 20 years later.
My epson eco tank btoke with oem ink in it
20 years ago don't they don't make em like they use it either. Everything is made to a cost and quality went down.
Thank you very much ❤️
thats not true, 3rd party ink and cannon ink is the same shi and same quality. one just cost an arm and a leg while the other cost 20 bucks
Once the ink overflow sponge gets filled, the entire printer shuts down, and that can happen after just a few months of use. So no, don't buy one, they are junk.
WOw
No man,we should not buy canon inktank, not worth,it will give you a issue withing 6mo ths and than customer support is quite bad
Ok
Magenta won’t work. I’ve clean, ink flushed twice and still no magenta
Make sure magenta tank is full
No don't buy nothing but problems with mine I willnever buy another canon
Wow really? Ok.
I will never buy another inkjet, but I don't know if a Canon color laser would suck or not. I an trying to decide which brand of affordable, color laser all in one or 3 in one is best for my needs and budget.
good
Thanks
Yet another unhappy Canon megatank owner. This thing is a piece of cr@p, designed specifically to fail early. Total junk!
True
My second one has recently proven to be a piece of crap. It is the PIXMA g7020. I am going back to color laser.
This product SUCKS.
wow
HP customer service stinks, only bought HP products for 30yrs. Looking for the Canon's best tank printer with the best resolution for photos and can handle 350gsm paper. Not much scanning required.
You can go with one of the mid Canon Megatank models then.
Never again for me! If Canon offered me a free one, I wouldn't take it! Total nightmare & designed to fail!
You and me both!
This is nonsense. After updates, this printer will destroy itself. Manufacturer server will identify the printer has 3rd party ink or not. Rip. Printer.
Oh man
why is your audio only mono ? can't hear on both sides. annoying
My bad
The fact that the G1200 doesn't use a phone connection makes me want to buy it. I don't know why anyone would want to use a phone when printing. Sounds like more work to me.
These things are junk, once the nasty sponge in the back fills with the "limited" amount of ink you are allowed to purge out of your ink jets it will basically be garbage. There are all kinds of videos on RUclips about this know issues with these printers. Laser printer are really the only long-lasting printers out there.
Canon is going bankrupt their products have gone downhill over the last 10 years and the TS6420 is the latest disgrace sell your stock and throw that printer in the trash and get a real one
wow
