Hey, Pete... great vid! This watch looks like a real winner. I always liked the 62MAS look, but not the size. It's not easy to find a smaller diver that looks this good. I think Seestern hit on all cylinders with this one. Keep up the good work!

Great review as always Pete! I've had my blue v2 since Thanksgiving and it's been getting a *lot* of wrist time. The second time I unscrewed the crown it caught the date wheel, but it only happened the one time so I'm writing that of as a fluke. It's great on my dinky 6.25" wrist. I was expecting to need to replace the strap with a Barton or something, but it fits great! And I love how the strap looks and how soft it is. I think the frame around the date window gives it a touch of class, and the caseback with the starfish (Patrick?) joyfully leaping into the wave makes me happy every time I look at it. Plus, in spite of the single hiccup with the crown, it has the best action of any of my NH35-based watches.

I've had this Seestern for a couple of weeks and I like it a lot. My bezel isn't completely aligned and the watch date doesn't change at exactly midnight. It doesn't bug me too much though.
Btw, your wrist check day wheel is Chinese, not Japanese Kanji.

Solid looking watch. Now if I only didn't already have like 20 dive watches in the collection, I'd grab one. 😊

      But if you have 20, having 21 won’t make a difference…

Great review. As my taste in watches evolves, I am wearing mostly 36-39mm now and enjoying them so much more than my older, 42 mm and larger watches. The Seestern is on my short list for my next diver, along with the Seiko Solar SNE573 and the Vaer D4 Solar.

I'm in the same boat! The Solar Seiko is one of my favorite releases of late, I have the PADI, but possibly a new colorway otw...

Love this watch. By far seems to be the best homage out there. Ordered mine today :) Thanks for the great review.

Great video!!! I just found your channel and your videos are fantastic! I love how you throw some of your personality into the video as most watch reviews can be bland and boring in that regard haha. Keep up the great work Pete!

That's a great chilled out review Pete. I liked your Orange Doxa so much I had to get a Seestern version from AliExpress. It arrived today. The build quality in Seestern watches is superb and value for money. While contemplating the 62MAS I wanted I considered the Seestern, but being likely not to get a lot of wrist time I went all cheapskate and bought a no logo Tandorio. It's well made, a similar movement, nice dial and sapphire AR crystal but I regret the size of it. I have a previously broken 7" wrist and being only slightly out of shape it doesn't tolerate a 50mm lug to lug too well. Also I think it looks too big for what it's supposed to be at 41mm. Anyway you live and learn. It's a nice watch though, about 100$ but it's not the Seestern (grey sunburst dial!) which is a winner. Thanks. ✌️

Great looking watch and they make some well made watches. I think it comes on a bracelet now as well.

Great review. I ordered the red one. It cleared Canadian customs, so, it could arrive early next week. Glamor Master is the Chinese version of Swatch Group. The 3 brands under that (Sugess, Seestern and Sea Kors) are like (Tissot, Mido and Omega), but NO, not really, LOLOLOL.

It would look better with a slimmer bezel. Still waiting for a homage to a vintage blancpain bathyscaphe. 37-38 mm. San Martin, give it a try?

Pete, I've seen in YT that many say this watch has a lot of QC issues. I got mine in December 2021, arrived in the V2 version. In my case it has been perfect. I tried (and got it) adjusting the timing because it was like 15 secs fast per day, and got it to work at +1-2 secs a day. It's the perfect size, perfect lume.
I think its even better on the size than my SKX013, because of the design it looks like a regular or big size watch, where the SKX013 looks ok, but a little small.

The v1 had some funny issues, like mine had a too short stem and a misspelling on the case back, lol. They replaced it with the V2, which was spot on!

Alright pete, just regulated my seiko king turtle which was running minus 20 seconds a day terrible. Remeber I said I couldn't get the back off?well I walked into the mall and saw a watch kiosk with a bored kid playing on his phone.asked him if he could take the back off and then put it back without over tightening. Fair play to him he did it.so I regulated it tonight 0.18 seconds fast now that's rolex standards.take care carl from cov uk.

This is very nice. Is the ceramic bezel very glossy and smooth? Or is it textured?

  • @ericcccccable

It's still too small on your 7.25" wrist. It's a diver and not a dress watch. Seiko was right to bring it out in 40mm I think. A more modern format.

Hey Pete. Quality wise, lume wise and wearability, what would you choose between the Kamasu and this Seestern?

    • @thewatchfemme4051
      @thewatchfemme4051 3 года назад +3

I know I’m not Pete but, I’ll give you my pick. Sold my Kamasu after a few months, with the Seestern after a few months I still wear it more then all my other watches. The Seestern 62 MAS is my go to every day watch, it’s caused me to even stay away from my San Martin 6200.
