I have two Seestern SUB600T. I banged one up pretty seriously going rafting and hitting rocks! It never stopped working perfectly and I brought it back to it's brand new state with a little love.
I think that they originally had AR coating, I bought a V3 not long after they were released, it has a subtle blue tint visible in some lighting conditions. A very well finished watch, excellent value and one of the nicest bracelets available at the price. I think both their Doxa homages are excellent for the money. Better than similarly priced Japanese watches by a long way if you don't mind the borrowed design.
I bought the dark blue with the steel bezel in the last sale and it is gorgeous. Seeing yours, I’m very close to ordering another with that beautiful ceramic bezel. Be advised, if anyone prefers straps to steel bracelets the extremely short lugs are a problem. I was unable to get any of my rubber straps to fit, but a plain canvas strap works well.
There are FKM rubber waffle straps and vulcanized rubber ISOfrane clones on Ali that work well on my version. Seestern even has their own waffle strap, but at a stupidly high upcharge. I'm especially fond of the ISOfrane-style strap, because it's a bit thicker and so fills up more space around the lugs. Plus most of them come with quick release spring bars.
Great looking watch, I already have a Seestern S382 and I have no complaints so I might order one of these. Considering the retro case styling I'm really torn between getting the teal blue version or the orange one, orange would be more appropriate for the retro style and I don't have anything close to that color in my collection but I also really like the teal blue. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to think about it for a few days
I have the same one you have and love it! The lume lasts all night! I have never awakened in the middle of the night wondering what day it is. I have wondered what time it is so I know how long before I have to get up. The only complaint that I have is that the bottom of the case is completely flat. This leaves a large gap between the end links of the bracelet and your wrist. It’s not a deal breaker, but I would prefer some curvature to the case to better conform to your wrist.
Thank you for watching! I guess they tried to stick to Doxa look as much as possible, hence such a back case. Maybe in version 3 they will rethink it 🙂
The reviews and feedback on Seestern and true and undeniable. Remarkable quality and workmanship. I just bought the 600T. Wow, It's one of the best executions I've come across for the money regarding Chinese homages, or originals. Chapeau to Seestern. I will be buying another in the future.
Excellent review 👍. Nice to hear you suggest people consider the original, Doxa prices and availability are quite sensible really. I would have been interested to see how this watch looks on a strap, as I'm not fond of metal bracelets.
excellent review. I have the orange ceramic for 3 weeks now and it is a banger. Excellent finishing and concidering it is already a bulky watch but managable for my taste i think i would not like the original doxa thickness. From my experience with this watch and the feedback i read for the original i think this is too good of a watch for 110 - 130 $ while the doxa is not so good to cost 1600$. Over 92% more money for a better movement, originality and 600m of wr vs 8% of the price for a copy design, better proportions, similar finishing and 200m wr for a desk diver. I think i'll stick to the seestern.
Definitely one I’ve got my eye on, I already have the light blue dial Seestern 300T, so may go for the orange dial on this one for some more colour options!
A great review. Thanks. Just one question: Is the lack of AR coating obvious? It will be very disturbing for me, if reflections affect the legibility. I sold 3 Hamiltons for this reason.
I wouldn't say it is obvious. The watch is very legible, I would say, about 99.9% of the time :-). Also, I haven't seen any complaints regarding the AR coating. Hope this helps! :-)
Another great review. I've had mine, the light blue option, for a month now. It looks and feels incredible. Case finding is superb, Lume unbeatable and comfortable to wear. Would definitely consider upgrading to the Doxa in future, although, with the Seestern being this good, I'm not sure how much of an upgrade it would be.
Had the Doxa and bought a seestern to compare. The seestern is 99.99% the same watch, wouldn’t be surprised if Seestern manufactured Doxas cases. Sold the Doxa and bought more Seesterns.
Superb build quality and exquisite (Doxa) design. Unfortunately, in certain light conditions, the hands can be hard to distinguish from each other. As such, it fails as a beater for me.
I'm very confused between blue/Orange color and Blue Sea Turquoise color ... I can't decide. I think I will choose the sea blue color with the black ceramic bezel for summer and my caribbean vacation :p
It's a very nice watch and excellent video. As a diver and former Doxa owner from quite a few years ago, don't buy one if you want to use it as a dive computer backup deeper down in low light. The lume on mine was terrible and talking to dive buddies who have newer ones, it hasn't improved in any way. Though the lume on this Seestern isn't perfect, from my memory, it's still far better than the Doxa. I honestly can't understand how it got so popular, maybe good product placement and marketing as any ISO Seiko Prospex diver just kills it. If you like the Doxa style but want decent enough lume, buy the Seestern. You're going to be disappointed with the original.
Thank you for sharing! Always interesting to hear personal experiences! I know lume on some of my Swiss Made watches like Tissot powermatic 80 and Glycine Airpilot cannot compete with Seiko 5, however those are not diver watches, however Doxa 600t is, and expectations are different. Having said that I did test lume on Tag Aquaracer not so long ago, and it was quite impressive!
All the watches with these crazy discounts cant ship to my location WTF!!! I'm in Toronto, Canada. Its listed for 160 on this store....cant ship. My only other option is for 260 on the official Seestern store.
Yep really sucks. it's either new postal agreements or pressure that affects shipping costs or new compliance process maybe sellers can't be bothered (let's face it the sellers with the lowest prices have the highest volumes and probably can't be bothered about Canadian orders) or the fact that many large countries have local warehouses and AliExpress logistics is making Canada more complicated for some reason. I haven't found any real answers but if you know someone in us ask them if they can see lower prices based on their ship address...
3 Sugess and 2 Seestern and so far not disappointed.

Another great review. You are one of the best on RUclips. Really appreciate the 6.25 inch wrist shots!
Thank you for watching! 🙂👍

Thanks for heads up about the straps! 🙂👍

@wngimageanddesign9546 Thank you for sharing! 🙂👍

I bought the one in this video last 11/11 for $90 USD and the Orange Black Last Week 11/11 for $82 USD just got it yesterday and wearing it right now.
Excellent review 👍. Nice to hear you suggest people consider the original, Doxa prices and availability are quite sensible really. I would have been interested to see how this watch looks on a strap, as I'm not fond of metal bracelets.

It’s a banger. Might have to pick one up.

Timely review it has been on my wish list for a while can’t decide between brushed bezel or ceramic bezel. Maybe get both 😊
🙂👍

Lol I'm the opposite ... I have the orange 300T and therefore got the dark blue 600T - both are amazing.
Looks like a very smart watch at a great price.

@@ShinyThings It certainly helps. I've already ordered the blue ceramic. Thank you very much

Cause its the real thing and not a fake lol. Good Lord. lol.

SeesternS435 (blue dial diver, $200) and S446 (black dial GMT, $230). Both are terrific daily drivers for me.
Awesome watch, great review 👍
Thanks for watching, Wes! 😁👍
I have 4 sugess 5 seesterns.. they are great value.
Superb build quality and exquisite (Doxa) design. Unfortunately, in certain light conditions, the hands can be hard to distinguish from each other. As such, it fails as a beater for me.
Fantastic review ❤
Thank you!
Update!! I bought the orange dial with ceramic bezel and it is a great watch! Build quality and lume is fantastic!
I tried to buy it but after 3 1/2 weeks it still wasn't shipped.
Same here. My two orders havent shipped and it has been more than a month since I ordered.
Great review 👍
Thanks! 👍
I'm very confused between blue/Orange color and Blue Sea Turquoise color ... I can't decide. I think I will choose the sea blue color with the black ceramic bezel for summer and my caribbean vacation :p
I have owned 2 of these. Amazing build quality but a little bit too heavy for me. Wears more like a 41/42mm than a 40mm.
Thanks for sharing! 🙂👍

Great Rewiew anyways ! Thank you !
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! 🙂👍

Its a beautiful watch. Doxa must be angry. After buying the orange Seestern I don't see the value in Doxa, so Doxa lost my business due to this clone.
You pronounce it like "cistern", make it "zeastern" please.......(BTW Seestern is the business district of the city of Düsseldorf, Germany)
Thx
And not Sea Star?
[zeeʃtern], to make it clear for everyone
Cause that's were it belong LMAO.
LOL, „Seestern“ is still the german name for starfish, not a boring part of Düsseldorf.
