The final boss is Linne's brother Kuon and he is linked to Hyde, I mean... EXE: Late Clear showed this. This looks like the end of the series...

@@DemonicRemption Yeah, they confirmed it around when the MELTY BLOOD: Type Lumina DLC started to drop that they were working on UNIBII. So for some, including myself, was always a matter of time before its eventual awesome reveal! 👍

This game means so much to me. I literally sampled multiple sound effects in the game in a lot of music. One of the first fgs that really got me into it all

Okay looks like we got Kaguya (another member if Orie’s team), Tsurugu (guy from Hyde’s school who uses a shield that recruited Phonon), and Kuon himself (basically the big bad) assuming that those new artwork means they will be playable.
But I’m just glad that it sounds like they are finally MOVING THE STORY FORWARD!!!!!

Definitely getting it. I love Undernight, excited to see the story move forward, looking forward to the new characters, and the animation and sprites look cleaner. I'm going to support them.
It took them 10 years to move the narrative forward, but they've built quite the lore and the worldbuilding gives it a different flavor to both Blazblue & Tsukihime and I'm liking it. French Bread makes some great fighters, and they need all the love and support they can get.

They NEEED to get Ian Sinclair back for Gord. His voice is too iconic to me now. He's just perfect for this character.
That goes for the rest of the UNI cast too in BBTAG. Hyde, Carmine, and Hildas were my favorites too. I hope french bread tries to do this. It would be really cool if they did.

I always wanted to get into fighting game and under night In birth was the first one I really got my footing in and made me able to understand fighting game better. Excited to be here for a new game at the start and not after it's end!
I see some new moves and mechanics, hoping sprites would change but the old sprites are still good. Really excited for this upcoming sequel! Hopefully we get an story of the characters and even Kuon.

😮 UNIB really gets a sequel. Definitely a must-have next year. And they kept all the characters from the first game. Even the guest characters. Funny that Eltnum doesn't get into her own game because of Nasu/TM being pretentious fools but at least she gets to stay in Under Night.
It still hurts my soul that she isn't in Melty. I'm kind of a fool because I have hope that she gets a mentioned or in the background of the tsukihime remake new routes so she can get an excuse to have some presence in her own Verse.
Nasu will literally add another character from fgo but will not add Ryougi
@@John_James Forget Ryougi. Eltnum is supposed to be the main character of Melty Blood and fking Count of Monte Cristo got in and not her. I feel like every non fate character is a joke or ignored.

@@luckluca8982 you mean that she "got" into Fate Grand Order before Melty because she is already in that game years before the remake of Melty was announced.
I know that it's been a 10 year wait for the story to FINALLY move but to move towards an apparent conclusion feels fast for me.
And nobody was able to ask Kamone and Yoshihara if the story is "actually" ending and if the story of the new game will contain the canonical events of the First Hollow Night that everyone's arcade modes were about and this upcoming "final night" business.

They usually put off some characters in arcade modes don´t they? I don´t think they are that much canon other than the endings themselves (And removing Hilda´s almost guaranteed execution)
It does say climax, which may allude to more. I really really hope the story continues past this game as well.

I have been looking forward to this sequel since it was confirmed by Raito and company and am very glad to hear it’s coming. A rare day one buy for me. Full support. Full respect. Full steam ahead. What do you mean by "back", like they were missing previously. This game is still using the same assets seems like so it's no surprise.
@@deniskreynincause akatsuki isn't a natural character in a sense for undernight, he came from a different game called Akatsuki Blitzkampf, there is always a chance he can be removed for some reason

Surprised they kept the entire roster of UNICLR, guest characters included. That and the system seeming largely unchanged (maybe there's new things, people on the show floor will know since there's a demo there) makes this almost feel like just another update, but a completely new story as well as a fully redone engine to allow for rollback (and, of course, more new characters) is arguably enough to make it a proper sequel.
In my opinion, this is definitely the way to go. UNI has great gameplay and cast. It just needed rollback and the new story content is also very welcome. The original game will probably not be playable online after this one comes out, so I'm glad it seems they're not changing too much.

As a Blazblue fan who only got into this game because of Cross Tag and never had the chance or ways to play the first one. I'm glad I get to experience all the hype that the UNiB fans are experiencing and actually play instead of watching people play.
Under Night is my favorite FG.
Never had the courage to main Yuzu but since it's the last episode I may put the work into this fantastic character.

I never played the first UNI, mostly because of the netcode and not knowing anyone else who played it, but I've heard a lot of FGC content creators gush about how great it is. I'm stoked it's getting a sequel with rollback, and while it might be disappointing to fans, I'm very excited that it looks super similar to the first. I'd hate for the new one to come out and be missing the things that made the first one great.
Hope that rollback is really good. I've been dying to play this online with friends for years now.

We have to accept Blazblue ended and that's for the better. Central Fiction is an excellent game and the best way for the series to end. Mori left Arcsys and Daisuke no longer wants to make complex games with, so a new Blazblue would ruin the series at probably every aspect except for the music.
@@goldenspiral6008 even so we still have some unfinished questions. Like what happened to Ragna’s Sword? What will Carl do next after becoming like his father? Will Nu recover from her from her state? How will Rachel find Ragna when he doesn’t even exist anymore? And most importantly there’s Tsubaki wearing the murakumo unit.

built world will keep moving and leave some things up to the imagination of the fans.

Well... I though if this happened, Sion and Akatsuki will be reserved for the DLC because of they were originally guest characters on the first game. But I suppose the important here is the new one is finally and officially here and I maybe buy it

This is great. Finally we will be able to play UNI with rollback. I'm glad this seems very close to the original game. That's exactly what I want, since the old game won't be really playeble online anymore after this comes out.
This will most likely be my best fighting game of the year for 2024. It even could be my game of the year over all. I'm specially happy to see the grid system is still here, since it's the most unique element of the game. I'm also happy to see the guest characters are still here. Specially Eltnum, since I love her design and the new Melty Blood didn't include her.
My only problem with this trailer is how impressively ugly the health bar and ex bar look. Why are modern fighting games competing over who can have the most boring and ugly UI imaginable? I really hope they change that. After all, the original UNI has a really awesome health bar.
