You did great man. Many would comment all the tips and corrections but hey, the most important for it, is to be strong and solid. The rest is history. I did the same to my Bayliner a couple of months ago and the boat now is on the water strong and totally dry :)

Hey. I just wanted to let you know that you are doing a great job so far. I rebuilt a 72 marlin with a 150hp merc outboard about 16 years ago with my father and he still has the boat. I want to get a boat for my little family now and we are looking at a 1990 marlin I/O 4.3 merc, open bow. It needs a new floor and probably transom. So I appreciate seeing someone take the time and do all of these videos. I have a feeling I will be going just as deep into the build as you are. Keep up the great work!

You can put that thickened resin on the edges with a plastic pipping bag from a bakery or a good quality ziplock bag with small hole cut in corner. Then plastic spoon or stick to smooth to shape.Job is showing progress! Be carefull when using epoxy and poly resin because you wont get a strong bond when putting polyester resin over epoxy. Gellcoat over epoxy O.K. but not for bonds that are structural.Epoxy on polyester O.K. It has to do with the density of the different resins. Good info on Boatworks Today vids. CHEERS from Canada

All great info! I made a comment when mixing the thickened resin that it felt like baking and now you made this comment 😂 I try to watch Andy as much as I can! Sad his videos have been few and far between lately. Cheers!

Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to get back to the shop yet to mess with the timing but I have a strong feeling that is our problem.
