I feel like the showering thing is pretty normal, I'm just picturing like a urinal/lockerroom type situation, you might talk a little but you don't really look at each other but you can talk and maybe look up at each other's faces, and the fact that it's normal and nonsexual makes it feel pretty normal to me

Yeah it is no different from sports teams showering together and not every country is so disgusted by it. In parts of Europe for example being naked isn’t seen as a purely sexual thing like it is in the USA.
Personally I feel like if all involved feel comfortable with the situation and it is not infinging on their boundaries so be it. This isn't a situation that presents any rusk to anyone else so those are the only things I think are really relevant here.

The shower one is very normal to me, for reasons people have pointed out in the comments, but also because in Japan, family members shower together since childhood.
Same for me, I’m from Germany
Even with sports change rooms it’s basically the same
Especially with swimmers too. Like most pools in my experience don't have dividers in showers
I have showered with strangers of the same gender (bathhouse, gym, pools), my best friend, lovers, both parents (dad when little and mom before middle school), I mean... Showering is grooming and if you don't get pervy about it, it's a wholesome trust building experience.

About the showering thing - i served in the military, and for 3 years have showered with the same ppl. Some times if we just came back from a mission we would wait for each other so we can go together. It was a very social thing and a rare chanse to spend a non stressfull time with the other girls.
Depending on the base, some times the showers werent divided, other times they were.
I can very much relate to the guy. After a while you dont care and it actualy helped some of us with body image and got us closer.
Never a sexual thing, always felt safe.
As a fellow veteran woman (U.S. Army), I agree. It became normal. Didn't really think of it as being weird. I always said the Army took most of the shyness I may have had and having babies took it ALL away lol. A naked body is just a body. We all have one and it's not sexual to shower with other women/people. My husband is very shy and it's so weird to me but I get it also... he wasn't exposed to social showering or having 25 people looking at your genitals pushing out a baby.

Even as someone who lives alone and generally does not want to be naked or shower around other people, I think the twin brothers showering at the same time seems quite healthy. It's like a social moment and they are completely comfortable in their bodies; good for them!
In different countries it’s normal to share with your siblings really like in Brazil. I used to live there for a bit and it’s completely normal.

Public and family bathing was quite common in centuries past, and even married couples have separate bedrooms and beds as early as 1900s. if the home hasn't been majorly renovated you can often find these type of homes that are more or less setup like today's duplexes.
Sure, maybe, but there's just no logic I can find that supports the scenario in the post. Why would you have a jack-and-jill bathroom, with a dual shower? In what situation would two people be not intimate enough to sleep in the same room, but intimate enough to shower together?

I mean, that type of thing isn't as taboo in other cultures as it is in america. Public bath houses exist where every one is just naked showering together. It is also not too uncommon to have familial bath houses in more wealthy families. The main thing is, it is all sperated by gender.

As a Finnish person, your reaction to the shower story is wild. We regularly squeeze the entire family into a small room heated up to 80 degrees Celsius completely naked. In Finland no one wears a towel or a bathing suit in the sauna. After that it's fairly common that the entire family enter the shower room at once and take turns taking a shower. Two shower bathrooms are probably the most common ones, although some people have even more showers in a row. For us taking a shower at the same time is absolutely normal (we don't call it showering together though).

Yeah, I didn't think this was all that weird either. My (F) sisters and I all took baths together as kids, and occasionally would share a shower as teens if we had to. When you have three siblings very close in age and grow up in a house with one bathroom, you learn not to be shy real quick.

I know what I'm saying, because almost a year ago I said goodbye to my beloved cat, who had been with us for 11 years. We all loved him very much, but I was the one who found him in the yard and brought him home when he needed human care the most, and that's how I became his human. We had very strong bond and therefore I was also the one who missed him the most after he passed... But now, although of course I still miss him sometimes, I no longer feel sad, but rather I am glad that he was present in my life at all, and with a smile I recall all the sweet and crazy moments. And I wish the same for you. Take care my dear, I'll be thinking about you and your dog, and I'm sending big hugs and best wishes.

Love the video and your content, however, I grew up in the SDA and have genuine fond memories that had a positive effect on who I am today. As a child I helped to feed the homeless every week, at the weekend we held a free social gathering with skating, games and food for ALL kids to keep them off the streets. Instead of boring the children during Sabbath we would bask in the beauty of the Earth respectfully, understanding the importance of conservation and care for nature. They were some of the best experiences of my life and I carry those beautiful values with me to this day. All were welcome and none were shunned, despite their beliefs or orientation.
12:47 My cousin would just walk in on his mom in the bathroom to talk to her. He did it once to my mom (she babysat him and his siblings a lot) and she freaked out, kicking him out while he was like "yeah, but i just need to ask you this quick thing" (he was like a young teen when he did this). When he was really young, my mom was shocked because he didn't know "around" "under" "over" etc. as well as other kids his age. One day, as a teen, he was cooking a microwave dinner at our house and then got confused because his "peas were falling out." The instructions (pre spinning microwaves) told him to take out the dinner halfway thru and turn it around before finishing cooking it. He turned it upside down (since it was still mostly frozen, only some thawed peas started to fall). He works as an engineer for Boeing now.
I swear to you engineers are some of the smartest dumb people or dumbest smart people I have ever met lol

I was the youngest of 4 boys growing up in the 60s in a house with ONE Bathroom. The only one guaranteed alone time in the bathroom was Mom. If you were showering and someone needed to pee, they came in and peed, nobody thought anything weird about it. Where I grew up was a small city at the edge of the country~ every town north and set was TOWN, one family I grew up with one town over only had a sink in the house for plumbing, the flushing toilet and the shower and the bathtub was out in the work shed (the house had been built in the 1700s and had never had a total remodel. Five kids and they had to go outside cross the yard and go into the shed to pooh in the middle of the night...

In America in high school, which is typically six through 12th grade. Junior varsity or JV is the ninth and 10th grade sports, varsity is the 11th and 12th grade sports and we called them freshman, sophomore, junior and seniors. But typically showering with a group of guys or with a group of girls is fairly normal, but most people don’t continue that activity to their homes 😅
